I'm Not That Perfect
Sixteen; My Girl
"Fuck. Wow. Fuck." I said slowly, sitting up the next morning.
Austin was already awake, smirking at me. "Good morning, Avery babe. How did you sleep? Or. . . not sleep?"
"Fuck right off." I replied. "What time is it?"
"Eleven. You might want to get dressed because it's nearly time for check out." He said.
"Okay. What's the story?" I asked, sitting up.
"Story?" He asked blankly.
"You know. Like, why you just so happened to be in my hotel room." I explained.
"Already taken care of. I texted Alan last night and told him you were shitfaced and I was staying with you to make sure you didn't massacre the town or anything." Austin said.
"Nice." I said, surprised.
"I got your back." He said.
I stood up, searching for my bag. "Won't you stop staring at me like that?"
"You're naked. Wouldn't you be offended if I wasn't looking at you?" He asked.
I thought for a second. "Good point."
He laughed. "Get ready before someone shows up and you really are naked."
"Sure, sure." I said absentmindedly.
We left the casino a little later, boarding the buses to head to Utah. Rather than hang out alone on mine and Adam's bus, I stayed on Austin's.
"So, Ave, I hear you were blackout drunk last night." Tino said.
"Oh, uh, yeah. Super wasted." I nodded. Austin kicked me under the table. I'd always been a horrible liar.
"That sucks." Aaron said sympathetically. "Gotta get loose sometimes though, yeah?"
"Totally." I agreed.
"Guys, I'm fucking starving." Alan groaned.
"Yo Grant, stop at that McDonald's!" Phil called to the bus driver. "Who's going in?"
"I'm lazy." Austin shook his head. "So is Avery. We're staying here. Get me a quarter pounder and Ave chicken nuggets, okay?" He said, handing Alan a twenty dollar bill.
We were left alone as the guys left the bus. "Thanks." I smiled, climbing on him and putting my head on his chest, looking up at him.
Austin leaned his head down and kissed my lips. "You look beautiful."
I sighed, lying my head and shutting my eyes. "Thank you."
"And Ave," He said, "Don't talk to any guys or anything like that."
"And why is that?" I smiled, biting my lip.
He looked at me with a 'duh' expression on his face. "Because you're my girl."
