I'm Not That Perfect

Fifteen; Vegas

"Wow." I sighed, looking at Adam. "All these people are here to meet us?"
"Yeah. Crazy, isn't it?" We sat down, sharpies in hand.
"Let's get started then." I said, grinning at Adam.
"Hey, did Austin give you tomorrow night's schedule?" He asked
"Speaking of Austin," sneered another girl, "are you two back together?"
I looked straight into her eyes. "Judging from your tone, I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that you don't approve. We're not, but if we were, I would have to say that his true fans would support our happiness."
Hordes and hordes of beautiful fans came to our signing. It was the most incredible and peculiar thing I'd ever seen.
"Oh, Avery Marie Carter!" Vic put his hands over my eyes just as the last group of fifty people was approaching our table.
"Vic, darling, can't you see I'm preoccupied?" I asked, pulling his hands off. They laughed, watching.
"Has that ever stopped me before? Austin is requesting your presence." He said, trying to sit in my chair beside me, failing, and lifting me up and sitting me on his lap.
"Does he really now?" I asked.
"Yes, no, maybe so. We're going to Vegas tonight." He replied.
"Are you guys dating?" A girl asked as I signed her poster.
"I wish, but she's in love with a freakishly tall white dude." Vic sighed dramatically.
"Shut up! No. Vic here is my best friend." I grinned.
"You guys would have the cutest babies though." She pouted.
I burst out laughing. "Vic, let's procreate."
"Thumbs up for unprotected sex!" He screamed.
Everyone looked over and I smacked him. "You're so loud."
"Yeah? Wait until you get me in bed." he chuckled.
"I'm not going to ask what you two are talking about," Alan and Tony Perry approached us, "I'm only going to tell you that we're leaving in two hours."
"I'll be finished here in half, but then I'll need to get ready. Tell Mike to bring me some food." I instructed.
"Why Mike?" Tony asked.
"God damn it, Tony, we are on a time-sensitive schedule. Just tell him." I said.
"Aw, does someone need a hug?" He asked.
"I'm trying to make these beautiful fans happy, Tony. I don't think hugging you would appease them." I rolled my eyes.
"Actually, if i could take a picture of the two of you hugging each other, my life would be pretty much made." The girl in front of the table said with wide eyes. I glared at him but laughed anyways, getting off of Vic and wrapping my arms around Tony with a smile.
"My name is Vic Fuentes and I have a burrito for one Avery Carter." Austin said in a thick Mexican accent, throwing the veggie burger that I'd saved yesterday directly into the back of my head.
"Austin Robert Carlile!" I yelled, smudging the picture I was signing.
"I can't wait to kick your ass at the poker table again. Let's say that if I win, I get sex. If you lose, I get sex. Deal?" He asked.
"Drunk already?" I rolled my eyes. "Don't let me catch you at the craps tables."
"Don't let me catch you in the bedroom. On second thought, let's make that happen." he said.
"You're about to get caught in the cemetery." I said even though he made my heart thump out of rythm.
"Don't act like I don't entice you." He said. I waved goodbye to the last fan and sighed.
"I need a drink. I actually had a weird dream that I was drinking moscato at the zoo with Leonardo DiCaprio. It was quite strange." I sighed, standing up. "Who's going to this shindig?"
"You, me, Alan, Vic, Mike, Tony, Jaime, Alex, and Jack. Maybe a few others." Austin listed. I nodded excitedly. Tonight couldn't come quicker.
**
"God damn it, Avery! Hurry up in there!" Mike yelled, banging on the door of my bus. Everyone was waiting on me so we could leave. I giggled, slipping into my shoes and grabbing my bag. As I stepped outside, they all stared.
"How do I look, then? Was it worth the wait?" I smirked at their wandering eyes.
"I will never understand, " Alan Ashby began slowly, "how you haven't gotten any of that, and how you are only friends with that." He said, looking at Austin and Vic.
"Hey, I'm a lady, not a that. Won't you ever learn manners, darling?" I asked, stepping down from the bus and patting Alan's shoulder. "What are you all looking at me for? I thought we were leaving? If you have time to stare at me like the horndogs I know you really are, then I should have time for one more coat of mascara." I put my hand on door handle of the bus.
"NO!" Mike yelled. "You don't need it."
"Why is that, Mike dear?" I cocked my head, feigning cluelessness.
"You look hot already. Let's just go." He urged. I stepped down, laughing heartily.
"If you ever wanted to enhance our relationship to best friends with benefits, I am totally down for that." Austin said as we walked down the strip in Vegas. It was dark and everything was lit up. It looked beautiful.
"So, how about that ride in? I guess we know why they call it Sin City. Ha. Ha." I said loudly. I got blank stares in exchange.
"Now, we're in the desert looking for strippers and cocaine." Austin said, catching on.
"I think you two already found the cocaine." Jaime rolled his eyes.
"The Hangover, you uncultured swines!" I threw my hands in the air in exasperation. "If the only person who gets my jokes is Vic then I'm screwed."
"Hey, Jack! We have to go to the Baccarat tables! Get it! Barakat. . " I laughed, trailing off.
"Cocaine." He repeated, turning back around.
"Where are we going, anyways?" I asked.
"Ceasar's Palace." Alex said.
"The real Ceasar's Palace? Did Ceasar really live there?" I asked. Austin cracked up beside me.
"This is why I love you." he laughed, then blushed as he realized what he'd said.
"Awkward." Vic said. We entered the casino, booked our rooms and headed for the gambling.
"This is like Dave and Buster's for adults." I sighed.
"Okay," Vic said, "Our rooms are on the tenth floor. Check out is tomorrow at one. Stick with a buddy."
"Okay, dad." I saluted him and everyone bailed. "It's just me and you, buddy boy. You know, I think they ran off on purpose to force us to hang out."
"Probably." Austin replied. "We need to document this moment, Avery."
"Why is that?" I asked, studying the map of the casinos and bars.
"It isn't every day I'm in a world-renowned casino with a beautiful girl." He said.
"That beautiful girl happens to be your beautiful bestie."
"Just quit talking and smile." He rolled his eyes, turning on his front camera and taking a selfie of us, uploading it to instagram.
austincarlile: in vegas with the beautiful beyond belief Avery Marie Carter.
"That should start a riot. All my fans hate you, but all your fans hate me." I said. "Let's go to the Cleopatra Bar!"
"My fans do not hate you. They love you." He said as we got in the elevator.
"Austin! Avery! Hi! Can I have a picture?" A girl in the elevator asked. "Are you together?"
"Sure!" I smiled for the camera just before the bell dinged and Austin and I hopped out.
"I think she thinks we're dating." He said. I shrugged, ordering a drink. "You really don't waste time, do you?"
"Have I ever?" I smirked.
He laughed at my innuendo. "Definitely not."
"This is fun, isn't it?" I asked, taking a drink.
"Just two friends who don't have sex in the middle of Vegas. A great time." He replied.
"I am going to ignore that undertone of sarcasm that I dectected, and take you back to a little over four years ago. Remember when we first met?" I asked.
"Oh yeah. I had a crush on you since the first time I laid eyes on you, Ave." He said dreamily.
"Tell me more!"
"You walked in all smart and pretty, and I swooned. You smelled really good, and you were saying I was talented, and then you gave me your number instead of Aaron. It was awesome." He recounted. "But that was all back when you had purple hair."
"Good times. Remember the first time we hung out, Austin?" I asked.
"The one where you almost died?"
"No, the one where we danced to Death Cab For Cutie."
"Oh, you mean the one where my sadistic ex-girlfriend was intent on scaring you off?"
"Way to focus on the negative, Austin." I rolled my eyes.
"I'm only messing with you. Should we hit the poker table?" He smirked. I put up a finger, getting my phone.
@AveryCarter: hey @austincarlike I'm going to kick your ass at the craps table. say goodbye to your manhood my friend
"What were you saying?" I giggled. He glared at me and gestured to the slot machines. I nodded. Austin held out his arm and I wrapped mine around his.
Seven hours later, after I'd beaten Austin at poker and he'd beaten me at craps, we traipsed up to the tenth floor and I found my room key, opening the door.
"What time is it?" I asked, sitting down and taking my shoes off.
"Just after four." He replied, checking his watch. I watched as he stood up, walking to the window and opening the curtains.
"Why are you staring at me like that?" He asked, turning back around. "I know that look. Do you. . . Do you want me right now, Avery?"
"Are you drunk right now, Austin?" I asked, cocking my head.
"Not at all. Are you?" He asked, walking back over slowly.
"Nope." He sat down beside me, looking at me with a look I recognized. Austin leaned in, pressing his lips to mine. I leaned back and he climbed on top of me.
"Ave," he asked slowly, pulling back and looking into my eyes, "are you sure this is what you want?"
"I've never wanted anything more." I whispered. He leaned back to kiss my neck as I lifted his shirt off. Next to go was my dress, then my bra, then his pants. He hesitated again when we were both in our underwear. I flipped over and pinned him down.
"Do you want to do this or not, Austin?" I demanded. In response he pulled off my own underwear, then his, and resumed his position on top of me.
I smirked, moving down to his shaft. I gently pressed my lips around the tip and he growled. I moved my lips further down, quickening my pace but pulling away before he finished.
"You are such a tease." He whispered in my ear. "You're going to pay for that." He planted kisses down my body, licking and shoving his tongue inside me. "Do you want me?"
"Fuck yes." I moaned, biting my lip.
"I want to be inside you so bad." He replied.
As our bodies collided, we both gasped. We'd both anticipated it, but this was better than we imagined.
