"MARIE LYNNE! JUST LEAVE... JUST LEAVE FOR GOOD!" My mom screamed at me.
"WELL, FINE! I don't care you...." well let's just say I didn't call her anything good.
"GO TO YOUR BROTHER IF YOU WANT TO SO BADLY!"

I'm Marie Claire Lynne, I'm 16. My mom and I were arguing because I just found out I had a half-brother. Apparently before she married my dad-her now ex husband- he had a son... Austin Carlile. I had heard his name before. He was in some screamo band. I wasn't a fan of the band but had always heard good things about Austin.

I called his number. My mom had thrown it at me as I packed.
"Austin. I'm Marie Lynne. I'm... well we're siblings. Half-siblings. I guess. My father is your dad too."
"What?"
"Where do you live? Can I come meet you? My mom kicked me out. She and I were arguing and she threw me your number and said oh go live with your brother. I have no where else to go."
"Yeah." He told me where to meet him.
