What Daddy Doesn't Know
I like the rush it gives me
"You see the smile on my face? Its there because of you!" I sang the last part of a song I had written earlier. I have written about 13 songs in the past week and I am recording them all in my studio.
3 hours later......
"You done with your what are you even doing down there anyway?" Austin asked as I walked into the kitchen.
"I am making a CD of all the songs that I have written this week" I stated proudly
"Could I hear it?" He asked and I shook my head.
I lead him down and played some of the tracks. My songs ranged from screaming to clean vocals.
"Wow this is great Katie May. You know what?"
"What?" I asked
"When we go on tour next week your going to preform one of those songs. you know if you want" He said and I jumped up.
"Are you fucking kidding I would love to shit this has been like a dream forever!" I squealed
"Whats going on? Why are you so happy?" Tino asked as he was coming down the stairs
"Dad is letting me sing one of my songs when we go on tour!"
"Really thats good you will do great" Tino said and then the phone rang.
"I will go get it" Austin left, and Tino sat down next to me on the sofa I had picked out.
"So how are things? you staying out of trouble?" He asked and I laughed.
"No well yeah I mean I haven't gotten caught" I stated
"What have you been doing that you would get in trouble for?" He asked
"I mean I can't believe he doesn't smell the weed when he comes down here. He can sniff that shit out of anywhere he always smells it on Alan when they hang out. and I mean I sneak out a lot and go hang with Alan we drink and get high no big deal" I he chuckled a bit.
"Ya know I used to do the same thing when I was your age."
"Really?" I asked
"Yeah I mean its what teens do. But can I ask you something?" oh shit.
"U-um yeah S-sure"
"You and Alan, your really close is there something between you two?" Fuck, What do I say to that?
"What do you mean?"
"Like you two hang out all the time if you like him I understand and support it, youll be 17 in like a week or so and he just turned 20 a month ago so there isn't much of an age difference but be honest"
"Uncle Tino, Yeah I like him and we have kissed but there isn't anything going on between us. Would you please please keep this between us?" I asked and he smiled
"Sure thing kiddo" I smiled and hugged him.
"So that was the tour manager he said that tour was moved up and we are leaving tomorrow so we need to go and check out the bus today to make sure there is enough room." Austin said as he walked in and put the phone back on the hook.
I am not going to lie I mean I am excited to go on tour but three months away from home and my car, fuck I am going to go insane on travel days.
We drove into town and met everyone at the bus lot. The bus was a doub;e decker type bus. It looked small on the outside but boy was it big on the inside.
"Okay Katie May is going to get the single room on that side of the room by the bunk area and I am going to be taking the room on the first level of the bus because you know how I am on tour" I was confused so I looked at phil.
"He talks in his sleep when we are on tour" I just nodded and followed the guys around. This kind of worked in my favor Dad on the lower level and me and the rest of the guys on the upper level. I could hangout with Alan and do things with out interruptions from him.
"Katie did you hear what I said?" Alan said waving his hand infront of me
"No sorry I was thinking" I laughed
"You dad is going to sign for the bus and I asked if you and I could hangout for a bit, he said yes as long as I have you back in time to pack and sleep well" I smiled and got in Alans car.
"So what are we going to do?"
"Anything you want babe" He said.
"How about we go out to eat and then go back to your house?" I asked and he nodded
"Sounds good but I am picking the place to eat" He said
Alan took me to an italian place across town. It was so fancy
"You know chipotle could have sufficed" I laughed
"Yeah but I wanted to do something special for you" I smiled
"Yeah but just being with you is special enough"
"Awe, So what are you doing for your birthday?" He asked
"WAit how did you know it was my birthday soon?"
"I have been hanging out with you for like 3 months I am bound to find out your birthday" He chuckled while grabbing my hand
"Oh well I don't really know since we will be in tour,"
"Well I already told your dad that I am taking out that night for a best friends birthday night" I smiled
"He still hasn't caught on to us has he" Alan asked
"No I mean its not like we are dating" I said '
"I know but we do things together I am just suprised that he thinks we are just best friends"
"True but I kind of like the rush it gives me hiding it from him"
"Yeah me too" Alan kissed my hand.
