One Moment

I Wana Lift Mountains High

(outfit)

"Haze?"

"Hm?" I asked, still looking up at the sky, twirling the ring on my necklace between my fingers. I had been hanging out with Austin here all day, mostly trying to get him to relax like the medics said after his little heart episode a few hours ago. But, we ended up going for a walk once we got to our new tour location and then came back, this time going on top of the bus. Most of the time up here Austin was playing a bunch of music by boy bands from his phone and trying to serenade me, but eventually we both calmed down.

"Who was your first kiss?"

I turned my head to the side, only to find his big brown eyes already looking a me. "What?" I asked, a smile playing at my lips.

"Who was your first kiss?" He repeated, a smirk on his face.

"Why do you want to know?" I raised my eyebrows at him.

He shrugged, "I dunno, just want to know more about you, even if it is random stuff."

I knew this was just Austin's way of trying to get to know some of my past since I don't talk about it much, but I guess questions like these were harmless enough. I giggled a little, "his name was Jackson and it was during elementary school."

"Elementary? Damn, you started early," he laughed and I joined with him, rolling my eyes.

"Hey! It was cute! I remember I was swinging and was going to jump off the swing, but miserably failed, face planting into the ground," both of us laughed a little, Austin's face lighting up so adorably when he did. "But, Jackson, who was in my class, came over and told me to stop crying, but that only made me cry worse because hell, it fucking hurts face planting on the cement!" I used my arms to talk, adding emphasis. "So then to shut me up he grabbed my face and kissed me... Probably the worst kiss ever, but," I shrugged, "who cares, I was a kid."

Austin was smiling at me, "so romantic," he teased.

"Shut up," I swatted at his arm, laughing. "What about you?"

"Well, I don't remember exactly what grade I was in, but I remember there was this really hot chick in my math class and obviously I was a lady killer," he wiggled his eye brows at me and I rolled my head to the side in laughter. "And after school one day I saw her walking home so I just went up and kissed the shit out of her," he was smirking and I was still laughing.

"So romantic," I mocked him and he stuck his tongue out at me.

"When's your birthday?" He asked next.

"January 3rd, you?"

"September 27th," he smiled. "Worst fear?"

This one I had to think about what to say, trying my best to give a playful answer. I don't think he would be expecting or looking for my real one. "Clowns."

"Clowns?"

"Yeah, clowns! They're the creepiest little shits ever!"

He chuckled, "alright, alright." He shifted so he was now on his side, propping up his head by letting it rest on his hand and looking intently at me. "Will you tell me where you're from now?"

"Austin..."

"Come on, Haze. What's it gona hurt? I just want to know more about you.. You are my girlfriend after all," he smirked at that last part, trying to lighten the mood. I couldn't help but smile a little at him, feeling comfortable. What would it hurt? It's just a name of a place and all I'm doing is telling Austin, my boyfriend..

I sighed, "I-I used to live in Texas, near Dallas," I mumbled.

"See?! That wasn't so hard was it?" Austin smiled down at me and pulled back some of the hair near my face. I bit my lip and nodded lightly, not making eye contact. I hated talking about that place, afraid everything that was haunting me would just come find me if I even talked about it.

"Your family live down there?"

This time I shook my head no, "No, they live in Washington, down by Seattle."

"Sweet!" He smiled. "Do you go there a lot?"

Again, I shook my head no. I've been there maybe once or twice to see my dad, but end up not being able to take it for long, especially when my mom is home.

"Oh.. Why not?"

"I-I just don't want to talk about it anymore, Austin," I mumbled.

"What are you afraid of, Hazel?" Austin asked, voice barely above a whisper.

I turned my head and looked to the side, gnawing on the inside of my lip, feeling anxious.
After a moment, Austin leaned down and kissed my forehead, making me breathe out, relaxing slightly. "I'm not gona push you to talk about anything, but I'm here, okay?" I turned my head back and he searched my eyes. I nodded, putting my hand on the base of his neck. "We can be like one of those super couples that talk about everything and fix their problems and overcome anything," he said, a dorky smile on his face, making me chuckle.

"Sure," I smiled. "I'm.. I'm just not ready to talk about it.."

"Okay," Austin gave me a reassuring smile, but it seemed kind of weak. "Okay." He repeated and laid back down, looking up at the sky. I was starting to feel a little worried that maybe Austin was assuming the worst. I can even tell that he's trying to convince himself it's not something horrible. Maybe he thought that I was some cheating skunk or that I was some spy with a bad past that was here to take out all his friends and family. Of course neither of those were true, but I don't need Austin to think anything like that.

I sighed and turned onto my side, this time facing Austin and trying to get my mind on other things. Don't need an anxiety attack or anything.. "Hey Austin?"

"Yes?" He looked at me with big eyes.

"Your heart problem... Is it like really serious?" I didn't really know how to ask that, I just wanted to know more about it or if he is just going to randomly die on me..

He shrugged. "It can be, but I'm fine," he smiled.

"You didn't look fine a little while ago.. What was that? Does it happen a lot? Does it hurt? Are you okay?"

Austin chuckled, causing me to stop my rambling. He was idly twirling my hair through his fingers while his bright eyes searched my face. "Haze, I'm okay," he smiled.

"I know. I know. But, I just want to know more about your heart thing, like what if I do something wrong?"

"You're not going to do anything wrong," he chuckled again, finding my worrying funny? "I have some restrictions, yeah, but nothings gona bring me down."

I searched his eyes for a minute, but then sighed in defeat. "I'm still gona google it later."
Austin laughed and pulled me towards him, me giggling out a little with him. I was now near his chest that was barely covered with his tank top. I let my hands rest on him and my eyes following every line of his tattoos that were curved by his muscle. "I don't have many restrictions, just cant run a marathon after drinking some monster, mostly," he went on.

"Hmm, so it's okay if I do this?" I started trailing one of my hands teasingly down his chest, itching lower and smirking with satisfaction when I felt him tense and shiver a little. I don't know half the time how this just comes over me.. I think it's just because I'm so infatuated with Austin and there wont be a time where I don't want this man. "Or this?" I continued, finally getting to my destination and gripping onto him, hearing a beautiful hiss and whimper come out of him.

I sat up and then in one movement moved so I was straddling him and leaning down so his face was near my own, my hair brushing against his skin lightly. "And I guess this is okay?" I teased with a smile, my voice quiet. Austin's hands didn't waste another minute to find my hips and I heard him chuckle lightly, his voice sounding deeper than normal. "You're gona be the death of me, Haze."

&&&&&&&&&&&

I was sitting outside on top of my bus again, this time alone. Austin left for some interview and to go just talk to fans, trying to make up for the set he missed, which I though was sweet. I had spent most of the day when he was gone having some girl time with Izzy, meeting some fans as well, and then having boy time with Kush and Sam. We've decided to dedicate one day a week to each other, to hang out and have band-together-time. We know that we see each other everyday and hang out much more, but sometimes we need a day to relax and just unwind personally together, which sounds perfect to me. They're basically my family.

And even though most of the day has passed, we've decided to start today just because we all have nothing to do. So, Kush and Sam went out to go get some food while Izzy went to shower and of course, me to work on my music.

I have my acoustic guitar with me and I was planning to end up working on a new song I was trying to write, but ended up just playing other peoples. My excuse was to practice working on my clean vocals because the song I was working on was mostly them, but really I just heard the new Sleeping With Sirens album and just got in the mood for their music.

I started to play Roger Rabbit by them, loving the message of that song so much, even though I feel like it's talking directly to me sometimes, but tonight I'm just enjoying it.

*Is there a right way for how this goes?
You've got your friends
And you've got your foes
They want a piece of something hot
Forget your name like they forgot

Oh, ain't that something?

Some wanna see you crash and burn
And criticize your every word
I'm trying to keep from going insane
Ain't that the way of this whole damn thing

Oh, trying to be something more*

But, when I got to the chorus, I heard another voice come from down below and laughed aloud at the irony, then quickly shut my trap to sing with him.

*Nobody's gonna love you if
You can't display a way to capture this
Nobody's gonna hold your hand
And guide you through
No it's up for you to understand
Nobody's gonna feel your pain
When all is done
And it's time for you to walk away
So when you have today
You should say all that you have to say

Say all that you have to say

Is there a right way for being strong?
Feels like I'm doing things all wrong
Still I'm here just holding on
Confess my heart and forgive my wrongs.

Oh, just trying to show you something more

Nobody's gonna love you if
You can't display a way to capture this
Nobody's gonna hold your hand
And guide you through
It's up for you to understand
Nobody's gonna feel your pain
When all is done
And it's time for you to walk away
When you have today
You should say all that you have to say

Don't point the blame when you can't find nothing
Look to yourself and you might find something
It's time that we sorted out
All of the things we complain about

So listen close to the sound of your soul
Take back a life we led once before
If it ain't you then who?...
If it ain't you then who's gonna love you?

Nobody's gonna love you if
You can't display a way to capture this
Nobody's gonna hold your hand
And guide you through
It's up for you to understand
Nobody's gonna feel your pain
When all is done
And it's time for you to walk away
When you have today
You should say all that you have to say

So when you have today
Say all that you have to say*

"WOO!" Kellin called from the ground after we finished singing, clapping as best as he could beside the fact that he had a water bottle in one hand. I also saw more people behind him, including some fans. I guess I must have been loud enough for people walking by to hear.. "Kellin!" I called down with a smile than ran to the ladder and off the bus. When I got to him I gave him a quick hug.

"I love your choice of song!" He teased. "That was really fucking good, too," he laughed, "you should do an acoustic with us!"

"Are you serious?" I got excited. I loved their music and this would really help get our band out there.

"Yeah I'm serious! Doesn't that sound good, guys?" Kellin asked, turning around and receiving a few cheers. I smiled wide, I loved singing with my friends.

"Wait! I wana sing with Starr, too!" I looked over and saw Vic running up. I gave him a quick hug as well, both him and Kellin have become closer with me this Warped, it was nice to have multiple friends here. It was also nice to sing with those friends, and I had only ever done that once with Oli for some random youtube video and a guitar collaboration with Lee, besides my band. I also had fantasized about doing a song With Austin and the guys, but didn't want to push them too much.

"Ah I fucking love you guys!" I laughed and gave them a group hug, so glad that Warped has turned out so great for me, really getting the band out there and meeting a bunch of new friends.
