I held Alec’s hand as we walked through the festival grounds. It was fun to see all the merch tabled and tents, all the food stands and people selling their stuff. It had a nice feeling to it.
"Mama, I wanna see dad" Alec said and pulled my sleeve a little.
"We are Alec, we are. He’s not just playing yet" I said and looked at him. He was a complete copy of Austin. Freckles, brown eyes and dark hair. He was even tall for his age. Barely four years old but looked like he was about to turn five or six. He looked around and I smiled.
"You know we can’t go and see him because this is a surprise?" I asked and looked at him. He nodded.
"I know, I just… I miss him" he said and looked up. You smiled a little.
"I miss him too" I said.
"And I want to meet Tino" Alec said.
One thing you never had understood was that Alec adored Tino more than he adored Austin. There was just something between them that amazed you. And Alec loved playing the drums with Tino, and Tino had taught him a little.

Alec stood beside me and he stared towards the stage. Any minute now they would come up and I smiled. It felt great to see Alex happy.
"You’re Austin’s wife, aren’t you?" someone asked and looked at me. I nodded and gave them a smile.
"God, why are you here? Can’t you just leave him alone when he’s out touring? He belong to us when he’s out touring… You should leave him alone, because you don’t belong here" she said and before I could say something she disappeared. I just stared at was completely shocked by her words. He belonged to who? Then I looked down to look at Alec and saw that he was crying, and before I could do anything he started to run away from me. Away from the stage.
"ALEC" I called but he wouldn’t stop. I ran after him and it didn’t take long before he was gone. Alec was gone and my heart raced.
"ALEC… oh my god… ALEC?!" I screamed and people looked at me. But no one stopped and I just turned around to see if I could see anything. Then I picked up my phone and called Austin. He didn’t pick up. No one picked up and then I heard their music begin. Then after a few dreadful minutes their merch guy Trevor finally picked up Austin’s phone.
"You know Rin, he’s on stage" he said and chuckled.
"I’m here at the festival, and Alec ran away after a fan said something mean… and I can’t find him" I cried out. He gasped.
"Shit, how long has he been missing?" he asked.
"For about 20 minutes, and I can’t find him" I sobbed.
He told me to come to the stage and I hurried over, and I saw him just as he sneaked out on stage and showed a piece of paper to Tino. I was really shocked when he just dropped everything and hurried off stage and to me.
"He’s missing?" he said and stared at me.
"One of your fans said something mean and Alec started to cry, and he ran away… I can’t find him at all" I cried and Tino wrapped his arms around me. Now the others started to realize that something had happened and I saw Austin walk to the side stage to ask what was going on. Their crew just shrugged and looked around and then Austin saw me. First he just stared and then I saw how he just jolted off the stage and hurried over.
"whathappenedwhatsgoingonwhatswrong?" he said and we could barely hear a thing. He held his hands over my shoulder and I explained what had happened. For ever word I said I saw how he turned more and more pale. Then he hurried up on stage again and took the mic.
"Hey Alec, wherever you are… You’re making mommy cry" he said and I just stared at him. The crowd looked confused.
"Please come back, they didn’t mean what they said" he said and you could hear that his voice trembled. He was really angry. Then he took a deep breath and looked out over the crowd.
"AND WHO THE FUCK TELLS A FOUR YEAR OLD BOY THAT HE CAN’T GO AND SEE HIS FATHER PERFOM?! for fuck sake, if I ever get to know that my fans do this I swear to God, to every god out there, that I will quit doing what I’m doing… Because that is my son, my wife… The two people that means the most in the world to me, and if I ever get to know that you tell my son that he can’t see me again, while on tour, and make him cry… Then just fuck you" he said and threw the mic down on the floor, and walked over to me and Tino. The others walked off stage and they looked at me.
"Where did you see him last?" Alan asked.
"We stood behind the crowd when he suddenly ran away, and I ran after him but he managed to disappear" I said and looked at him, all teared up. Austin hugged me and kissed my temple.
"It’s okay, we’ll find him" he said.

I was walking around with Tino and Alan, and we looked around for Alec. But he was nowhere to be seen and I started to panic a little.
"Rin, it’s okay" Tino said and rubbed my back.
"No it’s not… I’m a terrible mother… i lost my son" I said and teared up again.
"No Rin, it’s okay… Really" Alan said and smiled.
"No it’s not" I cried out and glared at him. they both crossed their arms and smiled.
"Mama, I’m sorry for running away" I heard Alec say. I turned around and he was holding Austin’s hand, he rubbed one of his tearfilled eyes and eh looked tired. Austin had a smile on his face and he looked at Alec.
"And what did I say?" Austin said.
"I love you mama" Alec said and I smiled. I crouched before him and he wrapped his arms around my neck and hugged me.
"Never, ever, run away from me again" I said.
"Dad said fuck on stage" Alec said.
"Yeah, but he was allowed to" I said and tried not to laugh. Austin bit his lip and chuckled.
"But we’re not allowed to say fuck" Alec said and looked at Austin.
"I know, but I was mad" Austin said. Alec looked at me.
"Okay, okay… I will punish him… no ice cream for dad" I said and looked at Austin. They all laughed, even Alec.

They didn’t finish their set that day, and now a few hours later we were all on the bus. Alec was sleeping in Austin’s bunk and I was sitting next to Austin and leaned my head against him.
"I was really surprised when I saw you crying and Tino by your side" he said.
"I was surprise when Tino just dropped everything and the music just died" Alan said.
"And knowing Alec was missing, I just flipped" Tino said.
"Me too" Austin said.
"Did they really tell you to go?" Alan said.
"God, why are you here? Can’t you just leave him alone when he’s out touring? He belong to us when he’s out touring… You should leave him alone, because you don’t belong here" I quoted from the girl earlier. They all just stared at me.
"Wow" Alan said.
"Wow is right" Phil said.

Austin held my hand and he leaned his head on mine. He looked tired and he stroked the back of my hand with his thumb.
"I’m happy you’re here" he whispered.
"Me too" I answered him and smiled.
"I was really, really, like really starting to miss you two" he whispered and kissed my temple. I smiled and looked up at him. He took my hand and he looked at our wedding rings.
"I would never want you to feel unwelcome at our tours and shows" he said and looked at me. I smiled an shook my head.
"I would never feel like that, but Alec… He’s not used to the hate yet" I said and sighed.
"He shouldn’t get used to it, because there shouldn’t be any in the first place" Austin muttered. I smiled.
"I guess not, but there will be… There will always be" I said.
"I now… I know" Austin sighed.
"Sorry for scaring you today" I said and looked at him.
"It’s okay, we found him and no harm was done" he said and smiled.
"And by the way… I forgot to say something" I said and he looked at me.
"What?" he asked and looked curious.
"I love you" I said and kissed him. He chuckled against my lips.
"I love you too" he said.
