Too Soon

I slammed the door of Scott’s car behind me and he glared. I rolled my eyes and he widened his. “What?” I snapped.
“Do it again,” Scott ordered.
“Excuse me?”
“Open the door and close her again,”
“Her?” I echoed.
“You need to treat her right,”
“Fine,” I sighed. I opened the car door and closed it softly. “Better?” I mocked.
“Much. If you want to know a woman look how she treats her friends car, not her equals,”
“Was that a Harry Potter reference?” I asked as he drove.
“It was,”
“I love you,” I grinned.
“So, what’s this shoot?” he asked as he followed a sign to the airport.
“It’s for some vintage underwear company,”
“Does that mean sexy pin-up?”
“Basically,” I shrugged.
“Who have you got meeting you there?”
“No one, I’ll just hail a cab,”
“Listen to you all American,”
“I’ve been practicing,”
“Did your famous friend help you during sex?” Scott teased.
“Believe me, what he was saying I can’t repeat,” I smirked.
“You know, I don’t want to go there,” he shook his head.
“What are you doing while I’m gone?” I asked.
“You know, getting over her,”
“Whoring around?”
“I am such a whore,” he joked.
We pulled up at the drop off point and I got out. I took my suitcase out of Scott’s car boot and put it on the pavement. I leant inside the car and Scott hugged me through the window.
“Phone me when you get there,” he said.
“I will. Thanks for dropping me,” I smiled. Scott waved and drove away. I pulled my suitcase through the doors and headed for check in.
I waited in line and got my stuff ready. When I reached the desk I laid my stuff on the desk. The woman looked over them and started typing things on her keyboard. She gave me my passport and boarding pass back, then took my case.
I headed for my terminal and took a seat. I got out a magazine and sat for a while. I hate waiting for the flight, it’s the worst part. I made myself comfortable and sat back.
