When we arrived in Chicago Mia was still dead to the world and the rest of the band went inside to start setting up while I hunted down Izzy to see if she could babysit Mia for a while. I wasn’t expecting to see Alan standing between Gus with a guy with a hand down his pants.

“What are you two doing?” I almost yelled and slammed the door closed so Mia couldn’t hear the conversation. The young boy lifted his hand away and tried to leave the room but I was blocking the exit.

“Well…” Alan rubbed the back of his neck and his cheeks flushed a pretty pink colour.

“It’s-“

“I swear to fuck if you say it’s not what it looks like I’m going to scream. There is a child on this bus!” I threw my hands into the air before leaving the small room and going back into the bus. Luckily Mia was still sleeping and Izzy was sitting on the sofa playing the Xbox.

“Will you watch Mia for me?” I asked her and Izzy nodded at me before turning back to the TV. I left the bus and walked straight into a parking lot full of other tour busses. I wasn’t sure what tour Austin was on but I knew it was a big tour.

They had to add a week more worth of dates so we were going to be on the road for months. I crashed into a person and a set of hands reached out and stopped me from tripping into the road. I looked up into blue eyes and I frowned.

“Taylor right? You’re Austin’s wife?”

“Yes…”

“I’m Andy Biersack.”

“Yeah, I see. Um, do you know where Austin is?” I asked and looked around the huge parking lot. I knew Andy sung in his band and I’d seen them live once before getting with Austin but I never realised how tall or skinny he was.

“He’s setting up his gear, follow me.” He wandered off towards a large building and I followed him inside. Austin was on the stage spinning around with his microphone. I stood off to the side and watched as his face lit up as he sang and danced around the stage.

Aaron, Phil and Tino were with him and I felt someone tap me on the shoulder. I turned and came face to face with Alan and Gus.

“No, I don’t want to talk to either of you.”

“Taylor, we’re grown men we can fuck who we want.” Gus said with a frown.

“Yeah when there aren’t children about!”

“Hey, baby what’s going on?” Austin asked as he jumped off the stage and wrapped his arm around my shoulder.

“Ask them.”

“You two weren’t fucking about with that dude on the bus again where you?” Austin frowned at the two of them as they just shrugged.

“Mia was still on the bus.”

“Dude, I tried to tell you not to fuck around near Mia.” Austin said to Alan who glared at his best friend.

“You two fuck like rabbits and she’s still there.”

“Yeah but we’re her parents! It’s different.” Austin sighed before shaking his head at the two men and tugged me away. We headed towards backstage and I noticed it was almost five in the afternoon. The concert was to start a seven and the place was sold out.

“Where’s Mia now?”

“She’s still sleeping. Izzy is watching her.”

“Okay, I hope she is able to cope with all of this chaos.”

“She’ll be fine, Austin.” I stroked his chest and he smiled down at me. His hair had grown longer and was nearly falling over his eyes but I liked it.

“I’m going to let you practice. I know I saw a bunch of people waiting outside.”

“Yeah, Phil and Alan just went outside to meet them so they should be happy.”

“Aren’t you going to go?”

“No, I can’t deal with all the people hanging onto me tonight. It’s been a while since I’ve been on stage and I just need to get used to it. Maybe at the next show.”

“Okay, I love you.”

“I love you.” He replied and I headed back to wait in the tour bus. I heard my name called and turned to see a couple of young girls.

“Yes?”

“Is Austin going to come out?”

“Not tonight, he’s a little nervous.” I winked at them and they giggled but handed me a piece of paper. I frowned over at them.

“Please can you get Austin to sign this for us? It would mean the absolute world to us.”

“Give me a minute, what are your names?”

“Holly and Rebecca.”

I headed back inside and noticed Austin screaming on the stage but he spotted me and came straight over with a frown.

“I thought you were going back to the bus, are you alright?”

“Yep, some girls wanted you to sign this.” I gave him the paper and the pen and he signed it for the girls and put their names on it for them too. I kissed his cheek before heading back outside and handing the paper back to the waiting girls.

“Thank you so much!” they squealed and hugged me. I quickly hugged them before heading into the tour bus and lying on the sofa. Mia was still sleeping and Izzy was playing the game still.

“Are you alright, muffin?” Izzy asked with a laugh and I glared at her. Izzy and Phil had bought Benjamin with them but he was sleeping in Tino’s bunk at the moment while they were all the stage.

“I’m just tired.” I said before closing my eyes and trying to get some sleep. I was shaken awake by Austin who was standing over me with a grin. I noticed he was wearing his stage clothes and I frowned up at him.

“Mmm?”

“Come on. I want you there.”

“Okay, let me just get dressed.” I scrubbed the sleep from my eyes and changed my clothes as Austin was bouncing on the balls of his feet. He bent over and kissed Mia on the forehead and she stirred before snuggling closer to Echo.

We left the bus and he was literally dragging me into the venue. I heard screaming and Austin waved his hand above his head and ran into the venue. I stood on the side line as he downed the familiar black can in his hands.

There intro music started playing and the crowd went wild. It was the first time that the band had been on stage in two years and the vibe was amazing. Austin ran out onto the stage and started screaming the familiar lyrics.

The show was nearing the end almost an hour and a half later and Austin finished a song before taking a swig of water and standing on one of the metal grates.

“So this is our first show back and I have someone very special to thank because of that. Without her I wouldn’t be here. Without her this wouldn’t be happening because I would still be at home with her. If it wasn’t for her you guys wouldn’t be having this show. So I want you to give a huge round applause to my beautiful and amazingly supportive wife.”

Austin crooked his finger and I rolled my eyes before heading out towards him. He bent down and kissed me as the crowd screamed and shouted.

“Okay, so this is a classic. Sing along if you know it.” They started playing Second & Sebring and literally everyone sang. The show finished a few minutes later and we headed back to the bus. Austin didn’t stay and chat because Mia had woken up halfway during the show and was demanding her dad’s attention.

Everyone made it back to the bus by midnight and we were on our way to New York.
