Chapter Seventeen
Austin’s POV
I was lying in my bunk with closed eyes and music in my ears. Closing anything else outside. Making me just lay there and not thinking. Even if I did think. all I could think about was her. Shit. Princess Lavender. Essie. That somehow never could leave my mind and give me a peaceful night. Shit. Why her of all people? I could have fallen for anyone and I fell for her… Her. I sighed and turned to my side and took a deep breath. Letting the music fill my head again.

Hey Austin, do you have time?
Why did she text when I always managed to not think about her?
From: Austin
Sure, what’s up?
From: Essie
I’ve been invited to attend this fancy gathering and I have no idea what to wear and I can ask Oscar about it because he’s not invited and he get’s really irritated when I do things without him

Fancy gathering?

What dress should I wear?
And she sent two pictures with it and I just stared. The first one was a light pink one that made her skin pale and her hair really dark. The other one was a black one that made it look like she was going to a funeral.

The pink one, the other one makes it look like you’re about to attend a funeral. Now tell me… A fancy gathering?

My uncle here in Germany is having a small family gathering, and he told me to not come if I didn’t have a dress on.

Your majesty, I wish you the happiest of evenings then.

Ha Ha. Very funny.
I smiled and put the phone away, and sighed when I realized that it would take some time again before I got her out from my head. Again.

I was back from the gathering and I was so angry. Pissed off because apparently I was a disgrace to the family for being a musician. Shit. Do they live in the 1900’s century or what? I kicked off my heels and Oscar looked at me. Mike and Vic also looked up and Jack whistled impressed.
"Where have you been?" Oscar asked.
"Family dinner and Mike… Get up" I said and Mike stared at me. He looked confused but got up from the couch and looked at me. I grabbed him by the collar and started to drag him over to the bedroom.
"What did I do?" he asked.
"I’m pissed off, frustrated and horny" I said and looked at him. He laughed and this time I didn’t have to drag him.
"SHEET WRESTLING" Jack called and everybody except Oscar laughed.
"Do they… do that a lot?" I heard him ask.
"From time to time" Vic shrugged and I slammed the door closed. Mike cupped his hands around my cheeks and kissed me, and I grinned. It didn’t take much to convince him.
I was lying on the bed, holding myself up on my elbows ad Mike was lying next to me. He looked at me when I yawned.
"So what happened at the dinner?" he asked and I told him. He laughed and shook his head.
"Some families are special I guess" he said.
"Yeah" I muttered and dumped my head down on the pillow.
"May I ask something?" he asked and looked at me with thoughtful eyes.
"What?" I asked and looked at him.
"All this and… I just want to know… What is this? What are we? and.. yeah" he said and shrugged. I looked at him and I swallowed. Shit. What do I answer? I don’t love Mike. It’s just sex. But I can see that it’s more for him. His eyes was filled with love and… Shit. What do I say?
"I don’t know" I said and shrugged. I looked at the pillow and I felt his eyes on me. He looked for a while before he sat up.
"Yeah… I’m sorry for asking" he said and sighed. He got dressed and he left the room. And I stayed in my bed and just stared at the pillow.

Apparently I’m a disgrace to the family.
