The sun was beginning to rise, when I looked over at the love of my life still fast asleep. It's our 50th anniversary. I can still remember that day. Standing on stage, with him down on one knee. It was perfect. I leaned over and kissed him lightly on the cheek before i went to make our special anniversary breakfast of lucky charms, mine with only marshmallows.

Two hours later and Austin still wasn't awake. He's usually up by now. I shuffled back to the room and he was still asleep. I went to his side of the bed and tried to shake him awake. He wasn't waking up. "Wake up! Honey, please wake up. Please..." I kept shaking him, he's going to wake up. He's okay, he's going to wake up. I went as quickly as I could to grab the phone and dial 911.

When They got here they checked his pulse and told me that the love of my life had passed away. Austin was gone. What am I going to do? Do I call Alan and tell him? I can't do this. I can't live without him.

2 Days Later.

The phone was in my hand dialing Alan. It felt like it wasn't even me dialing the number. "Hello there Ciara."

"Alan." I couldn't say it. My eyes started tearing up and suddenly I was crying. Austin would wrap his arms around me to call me down, but he isn't here.

"Ciara, Ciara what's going on?"

"Austin is dead." And then I hung up.
