Take A Picture

A Trippy Night Part 2

Oli helped me out of the bathroom. I kept having random waves of nausea that whole day, but I put it down to dehydration and the accident. My head was still sore from the fall. Oli laid me down on the sofa and searched through the photographs on the coffee table, looking for something.

"What are you looking for?" I said softly, touching his neck while I leaned over his shoulder to watch him scatter the Photos everywhere.

He didn't say a word for a moment, still determined to find it, and then he grabbed a photo that was folded in half at the bottom of the pile and I imagined his cheeks get plumper as he smiled when he found it.

He turned to me and showed me, it was a picture of him holding a Ouija board over his face. At first I was drawn to the blueness of the board and was curious as to why he was holding it over his face, was he shy? I took the photograph out of his hand, and I smiled a little because I saw the mess surrounding him, and his little black boots. I'd always adored guys who where boots. There was just something that seemed so formal about them.

Oli pointed at the photograph and said, "You see that board there... we played with that thing, and it had you pretty freaked out."

I scoffed at him and then sweetly replied, "I don't believe in that crap. Ghosts and stuff. Its a load of bull."

He put a suggestive hand on my waist, and I thought about brushing him off, but something about the way his fingers were slightly stroking my hip bone, made me want his hand there. His voice was quieter now, I could see he was throbbing with excitement, now that I let him rest his hand there.

He did a slight smile and then carried on talking. "We tried to contact Alice's dead grandma. Except something else came through the board, and it was pretty freaky to talk to, although none of the words really made any sense. You told me you were freaked out because you'd never seen anything like it before, but you seemed to think someone was moving the stone. So we put the board to the side, and everyone kinda forgot about it for a while. You were sat next to the board, and you told me, no joke, that you saw it move on its own."

"I don't know... I said, still sceptical. I was pretty high wasn't I? So maybe I was just... tripping you know."

Oli lifted his hand away from my waist, and it's absence made my heart sink a little. "You were so frightened, you crept into my bed that night and slept right on top of my chest."
