A Life Worth Living
I love you more than you will ever know.
It’s been three days since I really talked to Austin. When I went home that day after work I tried to confront Austin. But he kept dodging the questions and I knew he was lying to me. We ended up having a huge fight and he stormed of the house. All I could do was cry and hold my sweet baby Sunny. After a couple of hours I ran up the stairs and packed up as much clothes as I could and some essentials and some art supplies for work. I packed up most of Sunny’s stuff as well and took it out to my car. I wrote and left it on Austin’s pillow.
“Austin,
I’m sorry but I cannot handle this right now. I don’t even know if we can work this one out. Sunny and I will hopefully be staying with Alan for a little while. I may be pissed at you but she is still your child. You can come see her when you want. Just let me know in advance.

P.S
This is was harder than you think because I really do love you… What happened?”
Alan understood my reasoning and is letting me stay with him for a bit. His place was actually pretty cool and Sunny seemed to like it. Even though she missed Austin so much. She won’t even sleep unless I put on one of his songs but, Austin is coming by today to see her. I texted him and asked if he wanted to spend time with her while I went to work. Alan was playing with her and the kitten he just got. I could hear them both giggling from downstairs. I brushed my hair and did my makeup. As I was getting dressed I found one of Austin’s old beanies at the bottom of my suitcase. I picked it up and engulfed my senses in it and it smelled just like Austin. I missed him so much. I threw on his beanie as I heard a car pull up. I ran down the hall to see out the window, and as I suspected it was Austin. He really looks kind of awful. He looks like he hasn’t slept at all and he certainly hasn’t shaved.. I watched his as he walked up the door and knocked. I heard Alan sigh and get up. I heard an awkward exchange of words followed by Sunny squealing and Austin laughing “Hi, babygirl. Daddy loves you so much. I missed you.”
“Where’s Charlotte?” I heard Austin ask sheepishly.
“I think she’s still getting ready to go to work. She’s gonna be late.” “Charlotte you better not be late for work, dude!!”
“I’m coming” I yelled as I jogged down the stairs. My eyes met with Austin’s and his eyes widened and softened as I smiled. He looked at me for a second as I stepped off the stairs and he noticed his beanie on my head. I looked up at him and couldn’t help but smile. As he reached out to touch my arm my smile faded and I had to look away. I’m still upset by what happened and he never told me the whole truth. I walked over to Alan and hugged him goodbye and as I walked out the door I turned to wave at Austin. He looked so hurt and broken and I just couldn’t look at him any longer. I ran to my car and got in and drove down the block. I pulled over and started bawling my eyes out. All I wanted to do was jump into his arms and tell him how much he means to me and to forgive him. But I just couldn’t.
