Left For Dead

Vanna -
I woke up like I knew I was going to wake up. My legs ached at every moment and my back hurt badly. I search through my bag, and land on my small toiletries bag. I unzip it and take out my pain killers and sigh as I push the pads away. Another month without my period, I ain't pregnant but just not having it made it another level of pain every time I DID end up getting it. The struggle is so real. I grab a water bottle and drank it along with the pill. I get changed in my outfit (link) and walk outside the bunk area. I grab my phone and open it as the little light flashed that I had a notification. I slide the screen and smile, rolling my eyes at the text that he sent. I chuckle at the name change he did and opened the text message
(My) Jaime: Good Afternoon, I'm guessing you would wake up late. We have the same time set today, so don't be waiting for you after yours. Maybe we can walk the city at night?
“We stay here for today and tomorrow ladies” Kevin says and I sigh in relief. Break day. Yes. I took the opportunity to text Jaime back.
Me: Hey, and you're correct. I just woke up. It's a shame I can't see your set, heard you were gonna play new songs, and a walk through the city sounds nice.
I walk out to the Texas heat and put my greasy blue hair in a bun. I need a shower ASAP. I walk through the buses, and out to the crowd, wanting to buy something sweet and cool for the summer, and an ice cream cone seemed perfect for that job. I sat down on the bench and enjoyed the cold treat, as I looked at my phone.
(My) Jaime: Awesome. See you later xx.
I sigh and put my phone down. My head screamed at me and my heart jumped. I had no idea what Jaime was doing to me. For the first days of this, we would go hating each other for hours, trying not to rip each other apart, and now, I can't stop thinking about him, the ring feels like it belongs in my finger and being around him was a highlight of my day. Echo was right, we really did understand each other. I can't say I'm falling in love, but I'm not even sure what love is anymore. This feeling is scaring me and I'm dying inside.
“Vivi!” I look up and see a fan wave and walk towards me.
“Hey!” I hug the small group and they asked for pictures and autographs. With a black sharpie I signed an arm, a book and a backpack. “Catching the set later? “ they all nod.
“How's the marriage?” one of them asks, I look at her and smile.
“It's going good.: She smiles, they all give me one last hug and begin to walk away. I dump the trash away and walk towards the set, my heart in butterflies and my body ready for today’s set.

I grab my black guitar and put on the strap after warming myself up. I jump slightly and stretch my arms. Echo smiles and we look behind. Holden had gotten the shift off to see us, Gabe from Sleeping with Sirens was there too along with Kellin.
“Where's Jaime and Mike?” Echo asks, her eyebrows raised.
“They have a set like right now.” Shannon answers for me and I nod, supporting her answer.
“Ladies. your on.” We run towards the stage and began to do what we did best.
The sets seemed shorter every time we played and I honestly didn't like that feeling, but at the same time I did. It was weird. As I sang to the crowd and they sang back, I got that good feeling in me. Set was over and I rushed to the bus, to try and get a shower and change nicely.
“Vanna? You okay?” I put on a nice outfit (link) . My hair was a bit wavy caused by the bun. I reapply my eyeliner and freshen up with perfume. the door opens and Ally whistles. I blush and look down at my shoes.
“Where too?” Shannon asks.
“I'm gonna go walk around the city with… “
“Really?” Echo says, almost shrieking. I nod, and they all attack me in excitement. “Now what did Mr. Jaime do to enchant the heart of our tough guitarist?”
“He’s nice, and makes me feel happy. You were right Echo, we understand each other. And we though why the hell not to try. “ They smile and gave me another hug before we chilled in the front waiting for the time to go by. I was happy, but at the same time I was afraid. there was a knock on the door and Shannon jumps up to open it. I look at the doorway, to see Jaime fixing his shirt and looking around. he smiles as his eyes land on me and I stand up. I walk words him, and Shannon gives me a hug.
“I want her back early, Preciado.” She warned him. I chuckle and punch her lightly on the arm. I wave to the other two and at the surprised Kevin.
“As you order Mama Shannon. ready?? “ I nod and we walk away from the bus.

Ally's POV
“Karaoke night ? Pleaseeee” I asked Echo and Shannon like a toddler as I finished painting my last toenail. Vanna had left with Jaime earlier for a date, and I was without a doubt so happy for them, my heart shipped those two so much. “Fine, but don't make fun of me when I try to sing those high notes.” Shannon said giving us a small glare, jokingly. We laughed as we turned YouTube on our tv and searched for Karaoke videos. “Let's get this on!” I said while standing up, getting ready to sing and have some fun with them. After an hour or so of sitting in front of the tv dancing, screaming and singing about dumb love songs, and songs that made you want to go out to drink and party all night we decided to go out for a bit. We had tomorrow off, since it was a holiday, Fourth of July so it was okay if we stayed out a little bit late. I knew they had a party planned and it was most likely that everyone at warped was going but I didn't really know if I wanted to go yet. I'm for sure see Kellin there, I had a plan to avoid him at all costs, yes it's dumb I know but I didn't know what to do.
We had been walking around deciding on where exactly to go, with our arms linked together like we always did. “We could go to the Pierce's bus.” Shannon suggested. “Oh c’mon we all know why you want to go there.” Echo said winking at Shannon. “To see Mike.” Echo and I said in unison. “Noooo you guys are dumb, I just want to see how they're doing.” Shannon said rolling her eyes while giggling. “Okay we'll go but only because they always have good food.” I said making Shannon jump up from excitement and then practically dragging Echo and I across the parking towards their bus.
As soon as Shannon knocked, Mike opened the door almost immediately and attacked each other with a gigantic hug that probably lasted about ten minutes. No surprise there, they probably already had this planned I thought, I could tell Echo was thinking the same thing because as soon as we looked at each other we began laughing.
“There they go again, you guys can come in.” Tony said gesturing us to come in, chuckling as Mike and Shannon continued talking amongst themselves. “Thank you.” We said smiling and giving him a hug while walking in. As Echo and I walked inside the bus I saw the one person I wasn't looking forward to see tonight, Kellin. When we walked into the ‘mini kitchen’ of the bus Vic gave Echo and I an inviting hug as Kellin and Justin from SWS sat in the couch, playing a videogame and waving hi to us while still staring at the screen. I could tell Echo noticed me getting tense because she asked me if I wanted to get out there. “I'm okay, it's fine.” I said giving her a reassuring smile and sitting down in the table.
“Please tell me you girls like Mexican food.” Vic said while taking his phone out. “We love it!” Shannon said as Mike and her finally walked it. “She's a keeper Mike.” Tony said giving an approving look at Mike. “She sure is.” He said putting his arm back around her. “Goals!” I said. Then they started laughing, “Did I say that out loud ?” I asked. “Yes.” Vic answered, while laughing. “Well there's this Mexican restaurant they opened nearby and we thought we should go give it a try.” Tony said. “I miss my mom's cooking.” Vic said pouting like a little kid. “Who doesn't ?” Mike said chuckling from behind.
We all agreed to go down the restaurant for the night, the whole way there I avoided Kellin as much as possible except for the few times he would come talk to me and ask if I was okay but those conversations were short.
When we sat down at the table I sat next to Shannon and Mike and on my other side was Echo and Justin while Kellin sat right across from me next to Vic and Tony. Now and then he would give me some glances and would be looking at me, studying me probably to find out why I was avoiding him. Everyone had conversations, now and then they would all be laughing except for him and I. I couldn't take it, it didn't feel right to one day treat him like he's the best person ever and then the next day, just straight out ignore him. I stood up and excused myself to the bathroom. I then ran out of there and walked outside, I needed fresh air and time to think.
“Ally wait!” I heard someone from behind me. I turned and saw Kellin running towards me, trying to catch up. “I'm so sorry.” I apologized, walking off. “Talk to me, what's going on with you ?” He said pulling me back, taking my hand. “Nothing, it's just I'm sorry for avoiding and not talking to you it's not fair to you.” I said to him. “That's it ? Ally It's okay, don't worry about it, come here” He said pulling me into a hug.
“Is it because of what I texted you ?” He asked me. “Yes” “I was going to ask you out and you got scared ?” He said taking my hands. “Yeah.” I answered him, looking down. “Ally I'll be honest with you I like you, a lot. And if you're not ready for a relationship or anything like that then that's okay, I'll wait for you, as long as you need me to but I just want you to know how I feel about you.” He said looking into my eyes. I then went into shock, he likes me. He actually likes me. We stood there looking at each other until I gave him a smile, looking stupid probably and engulfed him into a hug. “Thank you for understanding.” I whispered to him. I felt relieved afterwards, no more running away Ally. But honestly did that just happen ? I kept asking myself. We walked back inside the restaurant, hand in hand.
As we sat down, Mike and Shannon gave us a funny look while everyone else was most likely wondering if Kellin and I were together or not. They continued on with their conversation as if nothing had happened, which I was thankful for while Kellin and I joined in. As the night came to an end I felt more and more tired, I decided to call it a night and go back to the bus in the venue. “I'll go with you, I'm pretty tired too.” Echo said. We then said our goodbyes to all of them and left in a taxi cab. When we entered the bus we found it empty except in the back lounge where Vanna was sitting on her pajamas with a gigantic blanket around her and a bowl of popcorn on her side. Echo and I decided to join her for a little while before we actually went to sleep.
“So how'd it go with Mr. Preciado ?” Echo asked, sitting on Vanna’s left side while eating some of the popcorn left. “We want the full story, with details.” I said giggling, and taking a seat on her right. We spent about an hour there talking about what had happened today, with Vanna and Jaime and Kellin and I, and afterwards we went to bed. I plugged in my headphones and laid down in my bunk, thinking about what had happened earlier, I can't wait for tomorrow.
