Left For Dead

Shannon’s POV
The show went well and it was just a normal day for me, but for vanna it was special because her brother was here, so we all tried our hardest to keep her happy. I'm just glad that the fans actually like my new hair. The funniest thing about it was Chris. He tapped my shoulder and tried to hook up with me, then he realised who I was and slapped me playfully. Tours been really good. I have time to spend with my best friends and I have been on the pierce the veil bus a lot lately, I have become really close to the boys even with the Jaime situation. But my mood has gone down because tomorrow is the day that Leon leaves to go to his dance class in Phoenix. I mean I made him come, and it is his lifetime goal, I have to let him go. But obviously it's going to upset me a tiny bit, because I'm basically letting my baby brother grow up.
It was 9am and we had to get up early today because Leon had to go to the school early, he had his things packed, and he looked really excited. We told the driver where the school was and that is where we went first. Whereas all the other tour buses went to the venue which was about an hour away. When we arrived Leon grabbed his bags and we all jumped out of the tour bus. Our mouths hit the floor, this place was huge. There were so many people saying goodbye to their families and walking towards a new start into the world that they dreamed of I guess. Leon looked towards us and we all ran up to him and gave him a group hug. We stood there for about five minutes like this, the girls obviously got to know Leon over the few weeks, but they knew that me and Leon needed to say goodbye so they all walked onto the bus. I tried to stop the tears from falling but it didn't work, I felt arms wrapping around me, and I immediately fell into them. “I'm sorry” I laughed a little. He shaked his head. “I'm going to ring you still, I'm going to miss seeing your ugly ass everyday though” he let go from the hug and looked at me smiling. I was smiling back, wiping away the tears from underneath my eyes. I looked around seeing that the parking lot was almost clear. “You better get going” I said sadly. He gave me one last hug, and began walking into the school, he had dreamt of going since I first met him.
I let a tear drop down my face and walked up the steps to the bus. As soon as I entered the bus I slumped down onto the couch, bringing my knees up to my chest. I felt the bus start to move and knew we were going back to the venue. I felt the sofa dip down next to me and me being enclosed into someone's arms. I looked up to identify who it was too see it was ally, and I sunk into her arms and began to blankly look into space. “Our sets at 3:30 so we have like 5 hours” I nodded slightly. Feeling a sudden warmth I look up and saw that echo had placed a blanket over my legs. I felt like shit, I should be happy, but I'm not. I'm selfish. Ally and vanna had decided to move me to the back lounge and make a kind of bed on the sofa, loads of cushions and blankets and I lay down. Under the blankets and thanked them. I wasn't sleeping just staring into blank space. What am I going to do?
About an hour later I heard the door to the bus open and quiet talking. I heard walking coming towards the door to the back lounge and a knock on the door. A figure of someone I knew well walked in, he looked at me sympathetically and didn't say a word. I side smiled back at him and he came towards where I was lying down. I began to move so he could sit down. I was now sitting up with the blankets still wrapped around my small frame. He sat down next to me and did what everyone was doing today, giving me a hug. But this one was different he took my whole body, sat me sideways on his lap and wrapped his arms around the piles of blankets I was buried in. I buried my face into his neck and sighed. “Im weird arnt I?” He laughed a little and replied “not at all, you let someone you care about leave, it's going to hurt for a while” he tightened his grip around the blankets. “It feels like I'm hugging a pillow right now” I smiled a little. “You could be hugging worse things” I thought of an item and it ended up being “like Jaimes feet” I felt his chest vibrate rapidly from beneath me. “True” he rested his head on top of mine. “You still going to perform?” He asked. I looked up at him as if he had suddenly grown another head. “Even if I had no hands I would perform” he nodded. “That's my girl” my mind took a while to register what he had said ‘my girl’ hmmm I could get used to that.

Ally's POV
“How is she doing ?” Vic asked Mike as he stepped out of the bus. We had arrived at Phoenix earlier today and that meant one thing, Leon had to leave for dance school. We were all happy for him, that kid had a bright future ahead of him considering how good he was but I think we all knew the person who was affected the most was Shannon. All of us had gotten closer to him over the last couple of weeks but him and Shannon had known each other for quite a long time now. They were practically siblings but it was time for him to go, Shannon and us left to Warped to follow our dreams and now he had to do the same with his.
“She's not doing very well but she says she still wants to perform later. Maybe it'll help her feel better.” He said. “It will.” Kevin piped up. “If there's anything I learned about her is that all the sadness and anger can be taken out as soon as she hits those drums.” Kevin said like a proud father making Mike smile.
“I'll go help her get ready.” Echo said. “I'll go with you.” Vanna added as they walked back inside the bus.
“Hey Ally, uhm I need to speak with you for a minute.” Kevin said pulling me out of our little circle. “What's up ?” I asked. He had on a worried face. “I know how Shannon feels about Leon leaving its sad really but I know Shannon will handle it good today she's a strong girl, all of you are. But I don't know how you guys will react to all of this later on today.” He said. “Kevin what's going on ?” I asked worriedly. “It's nothing to worry about for now but I just want you to be prepared for later. Focus on doing the show, that's all I ask of you girls today. No matter what happens.” He said looking at me straight in the eye. “We will don't worry.” I said. And with that he walked away. Okay that was weird I said to myself.
I walked back inside the bus, something was definitely going on. Otherwise Kevin wouldn't have been acting like that earlier.
“Hey Ally! What are you thinking about ?” Echo asked me while waving her hand to my face. I hadn't realized I was in deep thought while she was talking to me. “Oh sorry, nothing it's just Kevin was acting weird earlier, didn't you notice that ?” I asked. “That's what I've been trying to ask you.” She said giggling. “Oh I'm sorry. So where's Shannon ?” I asked her. “She's getting dressed.” She said while fixing her hair.
Afterwards Echo and I began talking about everything. I had told her about what had happened with Kellin and she told me about Alex and her and how she tried setting him up with Taylor from We Are The Crowd. “But it's not fair! He likes you not her. I know it. I can feel it in my gut.” I said to her as she started laughing. “No he doesn't, he likes Taylor, I can feel it in my gut.” She mocked while giggling.
“Have you guys seen my phone ?” Vanna asked while walking into the front of the bus where Echo and I were sitting at. “No I haven't.” I said as she looked inside the mini drawers that were there. “Oh well, I don't need it anyways.” She said walking back to the back lounge. After a few minutes, Vanna and Shannon came out of the back and met Echo and I at the front and with that we were out. We began walking to our tent to get ready for our show.
Afterwards we kinda did our own thing, what we always did when we had a show. As I was looking for my hair bow I realized Vanna’s phone was set right on top of my things, they must've gotten our things mixed up. As I picked it up I realized she had gotten a text message, it was probably from her brother Damien or it might be from Jaime, I thought. I looked at it and it read:
Lauren L: I'll be there for your show later, can't wait boo!
Wait What ? I thought. I hadn't heard from her since she left. Had Vanna been talking to Lauren the whole time she's been gone ? And was she really going to come ? Is this why Kevin had been acting weird lately ? I shook those thoughts off as Kevin called us to go perform.
“Good Luck!” Kellin said to me while giving me a hug. I hugged him back looking around in case I saw Lauren. “Are you okay ?” He asked. “Yeah. I'm just tired.” I responded. “You can rest after, go have fun!” He said grinning at me. “Will do.” I smiled back and went into the stage.
**after show**
We had finished our show in Phoenix earlier but I never saw Lauren there. Maybe she decided not to come, which I was eternally grateful for. We were currently still in the venue getting packed up and ready to go for our next show. There were lots of bands out either riding skateboards, doing some mini interviews or just in general hanging out and enjoying the view that the beautiful Phoenix, Arizona had to offer us.
Vanna, Echo and I were outside sitting with Kellin, PTV and ATL out in some lawn chairs we had found, and just talking about our day and enjoying the moment. Shannon and Mike were sitting down and cuddling under a tree close by watching a movie on her laptop, probably Harry Potter I thought.
“I don't remember being invited.” A voice interrupted us. I looked up to see Lauren. I had forgotten about her saying she was coming here. I looked at her she looked a lot different, she wasn't wearing her all black outfits anymore, she didn't have her straight long black hair, it was now replaced with short curly blonde hair, the only thing recognizable about her were her bright green eyes but other then that everything had change. Vanna stood up, “That's because you weren't.” She spat back. Echo and the boys looked at us in confusion. I whispered to Echo and told her it was Lauren.
“Lauren what are you doing here ?” I asked her, standing up. “Nothing you know, just came by to see my besties.” She smiled at us. “Wow you guys haven't changed a bit and you must be Echo, right ?” She asked turning towards Echo staring at her. “Nice to meet you, I saw you play earlier. You're really good.” “Thank you.” Echo responded. “Lauren I think it would be best if you left, now.” I said to her. “Oh is this how you're gonna treat your best friend ? After everything I did for you guys.” She said looking back and forth between Vanna and I. “Where's Shannon ? I know she'll be happy to see me.”
“Don't bother her, she doesn't need this right now, so please just leave now before this turns bad.” Vanna said walking up to her. “Oh my sweet Vivi, is that a threat ? I was the one who made you, you. And you Ally, don't forget who was the one who defended you your whole life. I don't know why both of you are suddenly against me.” “Because you left us!” Shannon said from behind us. “Oh there you are Shannon, come join the party!” Lauren said sarcastically.
Afterwards Shannon kept yelling profanities at Lauren while she stood there smiling. This wasn't Lauren, not the one I knew. Shannon then stomped up to her and practically almost hit her but Mike stopped her and pulled her back. While Alex did the same with Vanna. My eyes then started tearing up as I saw my best friends fight with her. She was so important to me and now this was how she'd turned out.
“Please just get her out of here.” I whispered to Kellin who was holding me at the moment. He called a security guard to escort her out and after that she was gone, leaving everyone with their mouths opened wondering what the hell had just happened.
