The Taste Of Blood Remains

*Mike's POV*

I woke up to a bright light shining in on my face as I squinted my eyes I saw Jaime, Vic and Tony standing over me, "Mike, are you okay?" They asked, I nodded and looked around, we were outside in Vic's backyard, "What happened?" I asked sitting up and rubbing my sore head, "We were playing Baseball and it hit you in the head, you were unconscious for about two hours maybe three at the least" Vic explained, "Where's Cassidy, is she still alive? Is she alright?" I rushed looking at them, they gave each other weird and confused looks before looking back at me, "Mike, who's Cassidy, we don't know any Cassidy?" Tony said looking at me as if I was insane, "No she, she got kidnapped by... Then she was killed because..." I said thinking about everything, "Dude are you sure it wasn't just a dream?" Jaime asked, "No!" I shouted, they looked a little scared, "I mean it seemed so real?" I said confused, "Mike, do you wanna go see a doctor?" Vic asked helping me up, I shook my head, "No, no, I'm fine, I am hungry though" I said, they all cheered, "Let's go get some food for pretty boy over here" Jaime shouted before we all headed to the car. When we arrived at the mall there were quite a lot of cars, I internally groaned as I knew it was going to be busy, "Okay, can I have a salad plate and black tea with one sugar please?" I asked the cashier, she smiled and nodded before taking my money and taking Jaime, then Vic and then Tony's orders, "Mike, that's unlike you, a salad plate and a black tea, are you sure you're okay?" Jaime laughed as we took a seat with our food, I rolled my eyes as everyone was laughing, "Okay after this I want to go get some more clothes" Vic said drinking his coffee, everyone agreed except me, I wasn't in the mood for shopping, "I think I'll just have a look around" I smiled, they all nodded and told me to meet them back at the car in an hour, I agreed before going to a small convenience store and buying a small pack of cigarettes, as I was paying I heard a cute little giggle, like Cassidy's but I pushed it to the back of my brain as I convinced myself it was just a dream, until I turned around and saw her and Tamara laughing and talking, "Okay, Hot Topic next" she said, Tamara just rolled her eyes and gave a small, dragged out, "Fine" before they entered a small girly shop, I quickly raced over to Hot Topic and waited for them to come in, I still couldn't believe that I had just seen her.

As I was browsing in Hot Topic they entered heading straight for the band tees/punk tees, "Okay how about this one?" Cassidy asked holding a cute punk Alice in Wonderland tee up to herself, Tamara nodded before they walked over to the counter to pay, I picked up a couple packs of gum before standing behind them, "That will be $8.49, please" the cashier said before Cassidy went in her bag to get her purse, as she was pulling out her money her phone slid out of her back pocket and fell, "Fuck" she muttered, sending shivers up my spine before I bent down and got it for her, "Thank you" she smiled a little shyly before handing over the money and grabbing the change, looking at me one last time, blushing then exiting, I quickly paid for my gum and followed them into Starbucks, they weren't standing in the queue so I cut in front of them and ordered first, "Hi can I get a grande black tea with one sugar please?" I asked, the cashier nodded before taking my money and directing me over to the other side, I could feel Cassidy's eyes on me before she ordered, "Can I have on black tea with one sugar, grande for that and a vente vanilla latte please?" She ordered the cashier nodded before directed her and Tamara over to beside me, Tamara went away on her phone and Cassidy was standing there, looking at me out of the corner of her eye, "Are you following me?" She asked staring straight in front of her, "Maybe?" I said also without looking at her, she laughed a little before looking at me, "Are you stealing my beverage preference?" I asked looking at her, she started turning a little red, "What no, I probably like black tea wayyy before you" she laughed before grabbing her drinks and mine, "Here" she said handing me it, I thanked her before walking out with her, Tamara quickly grabbed her drink and ran away shouting about being late for band practice, "I don't think I got your name" Cassidy said as we stood looking at each other, "Mike" I smiled extending my hand, "Cassidy" she said shaking it, "And that was Tamara who appeared to have dumped me" she said frowning a little, "Hey wouldn't worry about it, my brother does it all the time to me, like today" I laughed, "It sucks" I said, she nodded, "Hey there is this little park down the road that is always empty, if you would like to go?" I asked, she blushed a little, "Mike, are you asking me on a date?" She giggled but before I could answer my phone went off, I saw her face drop a little as I answered it, "Hello" I said, "Mike, where are you?" Vic asked panicking, "Oh hey Mom, no I haven't got them yet, when do you need them for?" I asked, "What, mike, what are you talking about?" Vic said confused, "Okay no problem, I'll be there by 6pm tonight okay" I said, "Mike, it's me Vic, where are you?" He asked, "Okay bye Mom, love you too" I said, "Mike, don't you dare han-" Vic said before I hung up, "I got 5 hours to kill, how about it?" I asked, she smiled and nodded, before linking our arms together as we walked out.
