The Taste Of Blood Remains

*Cassidy's POV*

"So you're here with Of Mice and Men?" Katelynne asked, I smiled and nodded, she smiled back, "They are lovely" she said, I nodded, laughing a little, "They can be a little testing at times but yeah they are really sweet guys" I said, she laughed back and shook her head, "Tell me about it Sleeping With Sirens aren't the best behaved when they're together and it's even worse when they are drunk" she said, I threw my head back, "Eughh I know, one time Austin and Alan were so drunk they started to cheerlead using my pom poms and Tino, Phil and Aaron decided to make a pyramid and throw them in the air, that resulted in Austin having a broken leg and Alan having a broken arm" I laughed, I looked across the table and Katelynne was in stitches, she had tears coming out of her eyes, literally, "Oh my god, that's insane!" She said, I nodded, "Hey want a drink?" I asked, she nodded and I got up to go get 2 beers, when I reached the drinks table I picked up 2 red cups, as I turned on my heels, something caught my attention out of the side of my eye, I turned back around and there he was, standing there laughing, I immediately froze and started to panic, I saw him turn around and I begged he wouldn't see me, but he did we made direct eye contact, he smiled and waved, I dropped both the cups and rushed out, "Hey Cass, where yo-" Katelynne asked but stopped when she noticed I wasn't turning back, I ran towards the bus, I heard heavy footsteps behind me, I didn't turn around but I was too slow, I felt a hand grip my wrist, causing me to stop and turn around, Austin was staring at me, "Are you okay?" He asked, I looked at him and nodded, trying to catch my breath, "You saw him, didn't you?" He asked, I nodded but stopped, I looked up at him with hurt eyes, "You knew!? You knew he was here and didn't tell me?" I asked, tears in my eyes, "Look Cass, I wanted to, I really did but I didn't want to take the chance that you wouldn't come" He said defending himself, I pulled my arm out of his grip, "You're wrong, this is different, this is very different" I said before turning and running again. I finally reached the bus, I ran on and sat on the couch, thinking about what had just happened, I suddenly broke down unable to control my crying I just let myself cry into my knees as I pulled them up to my chest, how could he? He was supposed to be my best friend?

After a couple more minutes of crying, I composed myself, as much as I could, I walked through to the bunks and pulling my suitcase out, I stuffed all my toiletries in my bag and wheeled my case out to the sitting room, I pulled it out onto the sitting room, I opened the fridge and pulled out a water, when I closed the door I froze, he was just sitting there on the couch, "Leaving without a hello, really Cassidy?" He laughed, I dropped my suitcase and backed away as he stood up and walked towards me, "Leave me alone Mike" I said, practically pinned against the wall, "Look can you please let me explain?" He said a little upset as to why I shot him down, "Explain!?" I laughed ducking under his arm so I was standing away from him, "Explain what? How you made 5 years of my life a fucking hell? Explain how you made me so miserable that I wanted to kill myself? Or explain how you made me get hospitalized for 2 months from 3 failed suicide attempts?" I said in an angry sarcastic tone with tears in my eyes, "Look, it's not like that, Cass ple-" he said but I cut him off, "Do not call me that, only my friends call me that and as far as I'm concerned I don't even know you?" I said, I heard him sigh but I put my hand up before he could say anything, "Don't, just stay away from me, okay" I said, looking at him, I got no reply so I just left, I went to look for Katelynne again. I went back to the roast and saw Katelynne standing with Kellin, Gabe and Austin, I didn't want to see Austin at the moment so I sneaked past them and joined Alan beside Ben from Neck Deep, Josh and Tyler from Twenty One Pilots, "Hi" I said standing next to Alan, "Hey, umm, Austin's looking for you" he said, looking at me concerned, I smiled and nodded my head, "I know" I said, looking around, "Cass, please go speak to him" Alan begged, I sighed and rolled my eyes, "Fine!" I said, walking away from him and over to Austin, "Hey Katelynne" I said, she turned and looked at me as if I was a dead man walking, she pulled me into a hug, "Hey you scared me earlier" she said, I hugged her back gently, "Sorry" I said quietly before pulling away, I saw Austin staring at me out of the corner of my eye, I looked at him and he smiled, I smiled back, "Can I talk to you?" He asked, I gave a faint smile and nodded, he walked out of the tent and I followed closely behind until we reached near the bus area.

"Look Cass, I'm so sorry" he said turning around and facing me, "It's fine, but I need to ask you something" I said, he looked at me confused and nodded, "Well remember when you said that we had a problem and I said I didn't want to know?" I asked, looking at my fingers and playing with them, I felt him nod, "Was it Mike?" I asked, I looked at him but he shook his head, "No, actually it's umm well, Alan being the amazing best friend that he is decided to sign you up to introduce us everytime we play here" he said, I shot him a look, "I can't do that!" I said, starting to panic, he pulled me close to his chest, "You'll be fine, I promise" he said into my ear, I sighed and nodded before pulling away, "Back to the roast?" I asked, he smiled and nodded before throwing an arm around my shoulder as we walked back to the tent, "Okay everyone, I'd just like to say thank you for coming and lets have a great Warped tour this year, like every year!!" An employee of Warped shouted standing on a table and cheering with everyone before getting down, "Party at All Time Low's bus!!" Jack shouted before everyone rushed out and to ATL's bus. When I reached there it came to my attention that I may or may not bump into Mike and that's not a risk I'm willing to take so when 9pm came around and everyone was pretty much wrecked, I left to go back to our bus, on the way back, I was stopped by someone shouting my name, I turned and saw it was Mike, I dunno if it was the drink and weed talking but he looked pretty good in the moonlight, "What is it, Mike?" I asked starting at him, "Go for coffee with me at some point so we can talk, please" he said, I shook my head no before turning on my heels and walking away, I knew he wouldn't follow me because he wouldn't risk getting lost between all the buses. I finally arrived back at our bus, I took all my make up off, put my hair in a bun and changed into something more comfortable to sleep in before jumping into my bunk and falling asleep.
