The Taste Of Blood Remains

*Cassidy's POV*

I was woke to a gentle buzzing noise on my thigh, I looked down and saw I had received a text, I picked it up, it was 8:40am why is Austin texting me so early?

From: Austin
Received: 8:39am
Please open the door, I'm outside and brought coffee <3

I sighed and rolled my eyes before locking my phone and carefully climbing out over Mike, luckily didn't wake him, I pulled on my cardigan and made my way to the door, I pulled back the curtain and saw Austin standing in the pouring rain holding two Starbucks coffee cups, I sighed and opened the door, "Get in, but quiet" I whispered, he smiled and nodded before running in and shaking his wet hair, "What do you want?" I asked folding my arms, "Coffee latte?" He asked holding out his left hand, I sighed and reluctantly took the coffee and motioned for him to sit down as I sat next to him, "What's going on?" He asked, as I took a sip of my drink, "Nothing" I shrugged looking at him blankly, "Well there is clearly something up, you rushed out last night for no reason, you didn't say one word to me and I haven't heard from you since" he said sighing, I rolled my eyes, "So what's your problem, I'm spending the night with my boyfriend, you spent the night with your girlfriend, if that's what she even is to you?" I said, he looked to me like I was crazy, "What are you talking about?" He asked, "I'm not stupid Austin, I know what's going on" I said, he raised his eyebrows, "What's going on? There's nothing going on? Have you gone loopy, are you high?" He asked, I sighed and shook my head before standing up, "You were supposed to be my best friend" I said with a hurt tone, "Were? What are you saying we're not best friends now?" He asked also standing up, "No best friend would make their best friend feel like shit, so yeah, I guess I am" I said tears pricking my eyes, "Look I have no idea what you're talking about, has Mike been putting ideas in your head about Frenchi?" He asked looking behind me to the bunks, "What!? No, No one has put any ideas about Frenchi into my head, I do have my own opinions" I said defending Mike and myself, he sighed and shook his head, "Look I don't know what I did or what you think I did, but I swear to you it's not true" he said, I rolled my eyes, "And my parents love me" I said sarcastically, he opened his mouth to say something but I stopped him by speaking first, "I think you should go, I'll see you later at sound check" I said, he looked at me, "If you hate me why would you come to sound check?" He asked, I sighed and sat back down, looking up at him, "I made a promise, I don't break my promises, now leave before Mike gets up and beats your ass" I whispered, he sighed, "Fine, I'll catch you later" he said before walking out, I quickly locked the door behind him and binned my cup before making my way back through to the bunks.

As I pulled of my cardigan, I looked at Mike lying there peacefully, I slowly slid myself in and under the covers, I saw his eyes open a little, I smiled softly at him, "Sorry if I woke you" I whispered, he smiled at her, "No it's fine, where were you?" He asked, I started to panic, I know I couldn't tell him that Austin was here, he'd kill him, "Oh I was at the toilet" I lied before lying back down, he nodded and sighed, after 5 minutes of tossing and turning we couldn't get back to sleep so decided to get up, "The weather is horrible today" Mike yawned looking out the window as he pulled back the curtains, I nodded as I made us coffee, "So what were you actually doing up early this morning?" Mike asked eyeing me up as I handed him his coffee and sat next to him with my tea, I just slowly shook my head, "I told you?" I said simply before standing up, I knew that he knew Austin was here and I wasn't in the mood to play 21 questions with him, "I'm going for a shower" I said excusing myself and putting my tea down the sink, "No Cassidy, please come back" Mike said but I just kept walking and locked the door behind me, I heard him sigh as I slid down the door just thinking about what happened this morning, I couldn't believe Austin was acting so clueless, he clearly knew what I was on about, didn't he? I was pulled out of my thoughts when there was a knock at the door, "It doesn't sound like you're having a shower" Mike said, I rolled my eyes and got up, turning the shower on and undressing, holding my shirt in front of me so it looked like I was naked, I slowly unlocked the door and opened it, "I'm sorry that I was undressing but I don't think you're supposed to go in the shower with your clothes on" I said sarcastically, Mike rolled his eyes, "Cassidy, we need to talk" Mike said, I shook my head, "No we don't" I said going to close the door but his foot stopped it, "Mike go away before someone sees me half nak-" I said but stopped when I heard Jaime, "Hey guys, did you make cof- OH GOD THEY ARE BOOBS, THEY ARE BOOBS!!!" He shouted running back in the bunks and telling Vic and Tony that he had just seen my tits, "Well done, Mike!" I said before pushing him away with one hand and locking the door again. After spending 20 minutes in the shower just thinking, I decided to wash my body, my hair, shave everything that needed to be shaved and get out, I didn't bother getting changed back into my pyjamas as I had a plan to get dressed and go speak to Tino, I wrapped a house coat around me and walked out, I saw the guys sitting talking in the sitting room, I quickly ran into the bunks and pulled out the clothes I brought last night, not the most ideal for this weather if I'm honest.
