Toxic Valentine. (Fransykes)

Miss Mysterious

"If you love someone, let them go,"

--
"Will I ever get your story?" Oli asked, watching Alex throw the last of the bottles into the bin, for them to be collected and never seen again the next morning. Like many things this tour had held. There's only a couple more dates left, and that would be all that this long tour had held; they'd go their separate ways, sort out their lives in some ways, run away from what they couldn't fix. Perhaps, Alex was the real hypocrite here, telling them to sort their shit out when all he had ever done was run away from his own. A plague unto himself, and to Jack, whilst the topic was at hand.

"No, probably not, there's no point in my story, it'll never really end," The heavily tatted man bites his lip into the silence, staring at where Josh was passed out, snoring sweetly. Through the wall to the outside, they could hear the other bands shouting and drinking, the dense smell of nicotine and cannabis pushing at the thin walls that separated them from the outside world.

"And if it does, it won't be with him, and it certainly won't be a happy one," neither of them speak for a moment, and the Sheffield born man sighed and leans back, staring at the man he loved, there was so much they had to resolve, but he was happy nonetheless, he would help Josh not be controlled by his submissive ego, and in return he wouldn't allow himself to neglect the other. He couldn't imagine going back to a life without him, even in the mere few days they had spent with the promise of straightening out. He'd spoken to Hannah, tears had been involved but surprisingly she wasn't angry, upset, and he was too, but it was better than living a lie.

Alex and Jack...would never have that comfort. And the worse part was, they had accepted that fate, it just didn't matter too them. The door opens and in slides a drowsy looking Kellin, charcoal hair tied back to show off onyx plugs and weary eyes. "It's loud out there," He complained, "All the other buses are so loud," He slides into what Alex thinks is Rian's bed and watches the Skype logo swirl on his screen. Secretly, he knows he just doesn't want to be alone, and Alex is obliged to smile at the tiny little girl on the phone screen, who giggles the word "Daddy," and waves a chubby fist.

One day he'd have that. Just not with the right person.

Oli, content for now, lies beside Josh, in what is definitely Jack's bunk, but it's a better use than listening to his band mate screw random girls for no reason other than to listen to the Essex born man's heart shatter (As if he didn't deserve it anyway). The two British men lay asleep intertwined, and when they have awoken, there is no one in the bunk. "Josh?" Oli mutters gently, gently stroking his shoulder; immediately he feels the other move into his touch and bury his face in his neck, and the two smile in content.

The Day Before:

"I know it's sudden, and I know it's strange," They're both crying, they're both shaking, Oli looks as if he had destroyed himself before starting this call. His eyes were swollen, and even though he didn't love her as they had hoped, she was still a great part of his life that he had grown to love, even if not in the right way. Her absence would cause him as much pain, as it would have been to keep her in his life. "And it's completely my fault, I dragged you into this mess and you don't deserve it at all." They were both teary and Hannah was wiping her eyes. "I wanted to love you so badly, I wanted to force myself to love you,"

"I guess that didn't work out, eh?" She replied sadly, "I loved you though and I trusted you," His heart broke and he cried his apologies, one day she knew she would forgive him, but what wasn't meant to be shouldn't be forced, and rather it be now than three years down the line when they had two kids and a life together. "Okay...I'm...I think you should stay somewhere else for a while, whilst I get myself together, after this tour, could you do that?"

"I think I might take a vacation anyway," Oli's voice was heavy with tears "Maybe go back home for a while, or maybe stay with..." He rubs his tired eyes "Josh for a little while," The tremble of his voice gives him away, but she doesn't press it. No, they're both in pain, they're both exhausted, for now, it's best to ignore the hardships.
"I'll see you around,"
--
Oli refused to do anything sexual with Josh, but he's been guiding him nonetheless, giving him little orders to keep him sustained for a while, guidance that he believes he cannot live without. They'll eventually give him proper support, so he can live with him own mind, teach him how to think for himself, which was something he gave up for his lover. Or perhaps he'd already given it up, and had believed for so long that the other was his saving grace that he'd forgotten what it was like without him.

At least, out of all the happy endings that would not join, they would get their own.
It was never Alex and Jack's story anyway.

Notes

Ok so there will be one more chapter and that's it now, I've been writing this for over a span of about a year and now I'm sad.
