Shattered Like Glass

I could see the color drain from Cassandra's face. She kept her eyes low before quickly getting up and cowarding behind me.

"W-What are you d-doing here?" She whimpered brokenly behind me as i looked him over as he smirked wickedly.

"Cassandra Blare Slaughter. ... mhm. It's been a long time , doll face" He purred evilly rubbing his unshaved gruff neck as his medium length chocolate curls barely covered his eyes.

I kept checking the door as he inched closer to us.

"Back the fuck away or I'll call the cops!" I threatened glaring at his very tall frame.

He laughed darkly before popping his knuckles.

"Listen here bitch. You DONT know whp you're messing with. Don't let Cass get you killed . " He growled before looking down.

"Cute kid. ." He hinted and i pushed him hard and Cass pulled Dani behind her.

As If on cue, Oliver stormed in as Vince grabbed my wrists harshly.

"Oi! Get the fuck away from them!!!" Oliver spat pulling on Vince's collar slinging him across the Ice Cream Parlor.

Oliver rushed at us and directed us outside as he stayed inside.

From the looks of it , he was yelling with Vince and a fist collided with his face.

The owner pulled them apart and Oliver ran out and walked us to our cars protectively looking around for Vince.

"Oliver. .. thankyou so much for saving u-us." Cassandra whimpered as she buckled Dani in her car seat and slowly slid into the passenger seat.

"You're welcome. Arlet texted me a s.o.s , so i rushed over here. Who the hell was that wanker?" He exclaimed looking around again.

"Ugh. Long story ... let's get out of here. Just follow us to my house but we'll take a different way just in case we're being followed.

We both nodded and i watched him as he walked back to his car and drove up behind us.

The whole ride , Cassandra shook and trembled in horror.

"Cass.. how about you stay with us til Aus gets back? If Vince is out. .. we definitely don't need to be separated. ." I offered and she nodded slowly.

"Okay. " we stopped at her house and she quickly packed four suitcases worth of things with her and we finally arrived to the house.

Cass took a soft sleeping Dani into the house while we grabbed her bags and put them in a closet near the guest room.

I locked the front door once everything and everyone was in.

Cass went straight up to the room and presumably went to sleep. The house fell silent as me and Oliver sat on the couch.

I finally got to look him over. He had on a white v neck with light bleached skinny jeans and black vans with his arm and neck tattoos on full view.

"I'm guessing dinner night is off huh? " He questioned sounding sad and i frowned slightly.

"I'm sorry. .. It's just all this happened today and i really don't want to leave her alo-" I whispered before being cut off my a finger to the lips.

"It's fine , love. I understand. I guess I should be getting back. My pup Oskar gets all bonkers when he's by himself. ." He uttered softly making me giggle.

"Alrighty then. I'll see you tomorrow? " I questioned feeling nervous as he looked me over with those golden orbs.

"Anything for you.." he whispered before kissing my forehead and hugging me tightly and getting up.

My heart skipped a beat and i smiled as i watched him walk out the door and i locked the door. I went upstairs and checked to see if Dani was still sleeping.

I walked in her room to see her swallowed by the sheets with just her curls and small face popping out.

I smiled and kissed her chubby cheek.

"Goodnight gorgeous " I whispered before turning on her night light and crackling the door as i left.

I went into the guest room to see that Cass cried herself to sleep.

I slowly slid in bed with her and rested my face on her back.

After a couple hours, she woke up screaming and thrashing around and i held her in my arms as she screamed in agony.

"Shh! Cass it's okay! It's Arry... It's me " I whispered repeatedly rubbing her back and she cried harder in my arms before falling back asleep.
