The Crow an The Butterfly

**Flashback** I ran home from school the blonde curls flapping against my back rapidly as I rounded the corner. Shutting the door and locking it, My dad looked at me and angry. i knew I was getting it for being late. I kept the band a secret. Not knowing what he'd do, I walked to my room and set my backpack down. Running down stairs I tied my blonde hair up and began making dinner.
My dad glared at me as I worked.
"So what punishment tonight belt lashings-"
"Don't question me Cleo!" My father snapped.
"You're lucky I don't burn your finger's so you can't play that guitar again.... You're just like your brother! Always leaving! Why can't you just stay here and be the obedient bitch I called my daughter."
Why can't you be my loving father who never beat the crap out of me? I thought,
"Because I'm not a bitch.... If anything I'm the only thing that's keeping any of this family together!" I said in return earning a bitch slap across my cheek.
"Get back to work." My dad grabbing my shirt collar and yanking me to my feet.
Tears stung my cheek as blood slipped onto my lip. He must've hit me with his nails. I finished dinner and walked up to my room not even bothering to eat. I never ate with my dad which meant on the way to school I'd stop at McDonalds for a burger or some fries. I took the backing off my phone and carefully slid out the razor blade I kept there.
Everything's going to change. I said holding the blade up to the lamp. Putting back together my phone I heard the incoming call.
'Nick'
A smile slipped across my lips.
"Hey beautiful. Look outside." He said, I stepped closer to my window and smiled as he slid out of the car.
"So are you coming or what?" he asked, I chuckled.
"I'll be right down." I mumbled hanging up and grabbing my shoes and opening up the window. Sliding out from under the window I climbed down the rose fence and jumped the rest of the way. Nick was helping me get to the set just a couple minutes away from LA. We sped away from my house.
"Thanks" I sighed, He nodded.
"Anything for you Cleo." He mumbled I kissed his cheek. He peeled into the venue Drew and Kay looked at us weird.
"I've done the best Escape ever made!" Nick said stepping out of the car. I hugged Kay and tore my self from crying.
"What Happened?" She asked, I looked at her.
"Adrenaline..... Lets go" I lied as we ran back stage. Nick handed me a dye bottle and nodded. Dying my hair a black I looked at the fitting color and smiled.
Turning over a new leaf made everything for me. I was done with my dad. And this is what I was going to start with.
