The First Punch

The room smelt like nail polish and sun chips.. That was the first thing I noticed as I slowly woke up from my nights rest. I looked around the room to see the TV on TLC and nail polish on the table at the end of the bed. I felt other people in this bed then I started to hear the crunch of chips.
“Sorry.. Pregnancy cravings..” Lian whispered and laughed quietly. “Have you had any?” I shook my head and she shrugged her shoulders.
“You tits, how early is it?!” Mel said holding herself up on her elbow. I rolled off the bed then crawled to my phone which was on the table charging. I picked it up and noticed I had a missed call from Ahren and Tony and a text or two from Adrien.
“10:20” I said as I brought my phone to my ear and listened to a message Tony had left me.
“Hey Axl.. So I love you and this fucking whole baby thing isn’t so bad. I mean I fucking love you and that’s all that matters so… G’night babe see you in the morning.” With that he made a kiss noise and the message ended. I clicked on Ahren’s message and listened.
“Hey Alex.. So you and Tony are back together and I’m happy for you. I just want you to know if we can’t be together together then I-I just want to be your friend because you are super badass. Oh and if you are pregnant.. Congrats.. I love you Alex.. Bye.” It ended and now my hand was shaking.
“Al, you okay?” Mel asked getting up. I nodded and put my phone down on the table. I looked down at what I was wearing.. Just my bikini top and bottom.
“Can we go to Tony’s? I need to get my-shit… all my stuff is at Mike’s.” I looked at Lian and Mel who were now wide-eyed. “Guys it’ll be fine! He’s changed. He won’t hurt me anymore.”
“You sure Alex?” Lian asked, still chomping away at the chips. I nodded and headed for the door.
“Al where are you going?” Mel asked getting over to her phone.
“Just to the guest room to get my dress.”
“Alex just wear my clothes again. That dress is dirty.” Lian said pointing to her chest of drawers. I walked to it and opened the shirt one. Right on top of the pile was a Motionless In White tank top. It was white and had a big skeletal middle finger on it. I chose that one which was mine that Lian had taken from me. And I just put on some black high-waisted shorts with my docs.
“Are we going to the doctors to see about me and this?” I said pointing to my stomach. Mel and Lian nodded and Lian got out of bed, her and Mel were already dressed. Almost like they got dressed last night so they didn’t have to bother in the morning.
“Alright lets get a quick bite to eat and then we will go.” Mel said going to the door. I followed and so did Lian. As we were walking to the kitchen we saw a lot of the guys on the floor. Not as much as yesterday morning but a good amount. Most of them were still sleeping but Jaime, Tony, Vic, Gaskarth, Jack, Ricky, and Matt Kean were all up just drinking coffee.
“Hey ladies! Fun night?” Vic said rubbing his forehead. We all laughed then proceeded to go to the kitchen. It looked like they had had a party after the party, there were tons of bottles and cans just laying around. I went to the basket on the counter and grabbed an apple. Mel and Lian grabbed a bagel each and Lian took some pickles too. We all looked at her and laughed, she shrugged and we headed out to the car. But not before we each went to our guys and talked to them for a bit.
“Tone we’re going out for a bit. Ok?” I leant over and gave him a kiss. He nodded his head and smiled at me.
“Have fun!” I smiled and kissed the top of his head. The other girls did the same but Mel was making out with Alex. Lian and I were just staring at her and eventually she broke away and looked at us.
“You guys ready?” She asked laughing. We nodded and she kissed Alex. “Bye guys!” Lian led us out of the house and we went to her stupid little pastel bug. I swear this was the only car she will ever have.. She started the engine and we headed for the clinic. About 20 minutes later we got there and I saw that it was an emergency clinic so we didn’t need an appointment. Lian was always looking for a way to avoid any appointments, seeing that she had a problem with time management. I mean Mel and I were great at time management because of SuicideGirs.. Shit.. I can’t do that anymore.. Okay maybe if I don’t show. Cause right now I don’t feel pregnant. I don’t feel sick, or any cravings or anything.
“C’mon ladies!” Mel got out of the car and strutted to the automatic sliding doors. We all followed her and walked in. The place was dead and the receptionist was flipping through the pages of some magazine, not even bothering to look up. She had huge stretched ears and a septum and bridge piercing. She had hair that was dyed half white half black, so beautiful. As we got closer to the desk Mel and I noticed that she was reading an alternative magazine.
“Hi, I’m Alex.. I was curious as to see weather I’m pregnant or not.” She was still looking down at the magazine, she sighed and looked up. Right when she looked up, her disinterested face turned to surprise.
“Uhm yeah, Alex.” She looked down to the magazine to see a picture of Mel and I. “Yeah just walk back there and it’ll be the door that has the sticker on it.” I smiled and nodded. “But uh Mel- Your friends have to stay.” She said looking at the girls and I. I walked to the door and went inside.
“Uh hi.” I said looking at the woman that was sitting at a desk. “I need to know if I’m pregnant.” She turned around and smiled at me.
“Just lay down right there.” I nodded and laid down on the bed that was covered in paper. “Okay so you think you might be pregnant?” I nodded at her and she turned on the the machine. I pulled up my tank top and she put the ultrasound gel on it. She put the scanner to my stomach and moved it around. She sighed and turned off the machine. She cleaned off my stomach and the scanner
“So am I?” I asked curiously. She came over to me and stood next to me.
“I’m sorry Alex but you are not..” She said it like it was a bad thing I wasn’t. My eyes lit up and you could tell she saw it. I got up and pulled down my shirt.
“Is that all? Do I pay out there?” I said fixing my outfit. She waved her hand, as if telling me to not worry about it.
“Nah don’t pay, it’s on me.” I smiled at her and she smiled back.
“Okay thank you!” I headed towards the door and ran back to Mel and LIan. Which of whom were chatting with the receptionist. “Mel give me a cigarette! I’m not pregnant!!” Mel smiled and hugged me. Lian smiled and hugged me too.
“Congrats May Berry.” The receptionist winked and laughed. “By the way my name is Emerald but everyone calls me Emme.” She smiled and I laughed.
“You know me.. Hell you even know my pinup name.. You’re cool Emme..” I laughed and took a cigarette from Mel and so did Emme. “Oh you’re so pretty by the way.. I bet you could do better makeup than that whore Ashley..” I rolled my eyes and put the cigarette in my mouth. Emme laughed and Mel rolled her eyes jokingly.
“Why are you always so mean about Ashley? She’s actually really cool and smart.. She is like so pure..” She said in a voice that was fit for a teenage girl. We all broke out into laughter and I looked to Emme.
“Would you ever be interested in being and alternative model?” I asked as I pulled the cigarette out of my mouth. She blushed and fiddled with her ears.
“I mean I’ve wanted to forever but I never knew how to start… And I’m stuck in this dead end fuckery of a job.” She laughed and Mel and I looked at each other.
“Quit your job right now..” Mel said smiling. I smiled too and Emme looked super confused.
“Why would I do that? Then I won’t have money.” She said concerned.
“Do you like the band Pierce the Veil?” I asked laughing. Her eyes lit up and she looked at me. She nodded her head quickly.
“Well Al.. I guess you’ve found your merch girl..” Mel laughed and looked at Emme who went from sulking when we came in to lit up like a christmas tree.
“Seriously? Me? But what if the band hates me?” Lian, Mel, and I laughed at her question. “What? What’s so funny?” She said looking embarrassed.
“Nothing, they’ll love you.. trust me. Now.. Who is your boss?” I asked smiling.
“Uhm the lady you just went to see. She’s my boss. This is her clinic.” Emme said and I looked to her.
“If you go in and quit.. You can be our merch girl. How old are you?” Lian stated as she looked at Emme who was now blushing.
“I’m 24..” She said getting up and heading to the room. We waited as we heard the doctor scream and Emme laugh.
“If you wanna quit so badly just get out! Fucking go!” We heard the doctor scream and we saw Emme run out of the room. She went behind the desk and grabbed all of her stuff. We all ran out of the clinic and got into Lian’s car.
“So what now?” Emme asked buckling up.
“Mike Fuentes’ house” I said as Lian pulled into the street.
