Falling At Your Feet

"You guys! We're playing Warped! I'm so excited!" I cried as our tour bus pulled up to the first stop in Mountain View.
"Have you spoken to Vic? Is he here yet?" Jesse asked.
"Yeah, they got here a little while ago." I said. "Want to go visit?"
"I'm going to unpack but we'll meet you there in a little bit." Sam said.
Jesse, Matt, and Sam were three of my closest friends and my bandmates. Together we were an indie band called No Tomorrow.
"Valentine!" I spun around to see who was calling my name as I left the bus. It was Dan from Real Friends, another of my good friends.
"Hi, Danny boy!" I grinned. "Good to see you!"
"Where you headed?" He asked.
"Pierce the Veil's bus."
"They're near me. I'll show you the way. Are you ready for a kickass summer?" He asked.
"It's going to be awesome." I agreed.
"Here they are. I'll see you later!" Dan said goodbye to me and went to his own bus.
"Anybody home?" I called.
"Valentine!" Vic yelled. "Come in!"
I stepped inside their bus to see a huge mess and four men. "Hi, boys. May I ask how you've already managed to make a hell of a mess when you've only been here an hour?"
"It's all Jaime's mess, actually." Mike said, laughing. "Hey, V."
"How've you been?" Vic asked, giving me a tight hug.
"Really really good actually." I beamed.
"Must be hard not to be feeling so great when your album's at the top of the charts though." He laughed. "It's a really awesome record though."
"Thanks." I said. "Took forever but we're so happy with it."
"Who has two thumbs and likes to bone your mom? This guy!" It was none other than Alex Gaskarth and Jack Barakat, the dynamic duo.
"Hey! You know," Vic said, "Between all of my band, you guys, Valentine and her band, and Carlile and his band, this should be one hell of a summer."
"Things are always interesting with Valentine around though, aren't they?" Alex laughed.
"Mm. I could say the same thing about you." I said, eyebrows raised.
"Val, I love your sass. Really do." Jack said. "Come on guys, the party's starting!"

The kickoff party was insanely fun. I mingled but mostly stayed with my band members.
"Maybe someone should tell Sam to lay off the beer." I suggested to Matt and Jesse as we watched Sam make a fool of himself.
"Let him have fun." Matt laughed, shaking his head.
I looked across the party and noticed someone already looking at me, someone I knew to be Austin Carlile. I raised my eyebrows and he blushed, looking away after one lingering moment.
