What are you going to do about it?

“Come in!" I took in a deep breath and shoved the door open.

Mr. Perry looked up abruptly, startled. "M-Mike." He nodded, his eyes glued to the desk.
I turned my back to him and locked the door. Who knows why the school had lockable doors on their classrooms, who'd want to rob a school?

Someone insane. Clinically insane.

"Mr Perry." I nodded once I had turned back around.

"What are you doing?"

"Oh.. Y'know.. Nothing important." I replied, pulling a chair over to his desk and sitting in it.
I don't know where this sudden boost of confidence came from, but I sure as hell needed it.

"Do you need.. Something?" Mr.Perry spike cautiously, looking up at me for the first time since I entered the room.

"Answers." I said bluntly, yet again thanking the boost of confidence I had gained.
Mr. Perry remained silent as his eyes went back to being glued on the desk.

"Why'd you kiss me?" I asked quietly after a few moments of awkward silence.

"I.. I don't know." Mr. Perry finally answered, toying with his hands that were resting in his lap.

I stayed silent, my eyes glued to his unmoving figure.

"If you can't tell me why.. Can you tell me why it felt right?" I blurted, immediately cursing myself.

Mr.Perry's head snapped upwards upon hearing me say that, and I couldn't have felt more embarrassed. Thanks for leaving when I needed you most, confidence.
"I.. Uh.. What?" Was his puzzled response.

I remained silent, my eyes cast downwards. Why did I say that? I mean, it was the truth, but why? I'm such a dumbass!

"Mike," I jumped at how close his voice was, I hadn't even heard him get up!
I was fully aware that he was less than a foot away, but for some reason, that didn’t scare me like it should have.

“You said,” The sound of a shoe squeaking could be heard and I guessed that it was him taking another step. “It felt right.”

I gulped nervously. Why had I said that? I’m such a fucking dumbass! I probably would have been out of here by now if I had just kept my big mouth shut! Out of the corner of my eye, I could see him crouch down. I could now feel his breath on my arm. This dude is really close.

“And why do you think it did?” He asked in what appeared to be a motherly tone. Are you shitting me?

I met his somewhat scrutinizing stare. I looked into his eyes, and they held a hint of concern, but aside from that, his face gave away no hint at his expression.
I shrugged, looking back to the floor. Oh, dear confidence boost, how I need you.

“Maybe we could.. Find out.” Mr. Perry’s voice was flirtatious, and before I knew what was happening there were hands on either side of my face and another pair of lips on my own. My first reaction was to push him away, he is a teacher, after all. But after I got over the initial shock, I didn’t want that. I wanted him closer. This is the safest I’ve felt in days. And it’s in the arms of my music teacher.

Mr.Perry pulled away, a cocky smirk plastered on his face. “How was that?” He raised his eyebrows in a genuinely curious manner.

I replied by pulling him closer and connecting our lips once again.
