What are you going to do about it?

I closed apartment the door over with a sigh.

"Sorry I couldn't pick you up, Tone." Jaime excitedly bounded out of the kitchen, a sincere glint buried in his brown orbs.

"No worries." I muttered, throwing my keys onto the small wooden corner table.

"I have a good reason though.." He spoke, a grin spreading across his features, motioning for me to follow him.

He stopped infront of my bedroom door and spun around, smiling sweetly.

"I'll let you go in first." He moved out of the way and I reached for the door handle, twisting it slowly and hearing the door creak.

Everything looked the exact same, that was until, my eyes landed on a small tank in the corner. Well, it wasn't a 'Small' tank as such, just not abnormaly large.

I slowly crept forward and kneeled down infront of the glass container and peeked into the front, immediately my mood became so much better

"YOU GOT ME A FUCKING TURTLE!" I squealed, turning to Jaime who was awaiting anxiously in the door way.

"Yes, I did." He grinned wide, "And you, Mr friend, sounded like a girl." He added quickly, slipping out of the door.

Frankly, I was too engrossed in the small turtle to care.

It's shell was about the size of a 50 pence coin, and it couldn't have been more than 2 months old. My guess? A Mississippi Map Turtle.

I slowly lifted the lid and picked the small animal up carefully, and holding him up carefully, examining him further.

"I'm going to call you Wally."
