later in the story. that the marking on his chest its the Celtic symbol for eternal bond and marriage.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~two weeks later~~~~~~~~~~~ AUSTIN'S P.O.V-~~~~~~~~~~~~~
i woke up five minutes before my alarm went off at 6:00. today i start my last year of high school. finally. it'll be weird without Alan there though. he's what practically got me through the day. i sigh and looked at the clock, 6:15. better get up then. i swing my legs off the bed and look over to Prince. he's really big for a cat. he's almost as big as a medium sized dog. i quickly took a picture of him and set it as my background. i hopped up and walked over to my closet pulling out my favorite slipknot shirt and a pair of black skinnies.
i walk into the room with my hair dripping from the shower. i shake my head lightly shaking some of the water droplets at Prince. he wakes up loudly and scrambles off the bed into his spot in the window seat. he glared as i fell to the floor laughing and snorting. he soon joined in. well kinda, i think he think he's human. its kinda funny he'll take shower and he'll watch t.v. with me and read books. its funny. but odd.
i take another picture of him laughing his kitty mouth wide open in a smiling happy kind of way. and set it as my home screen lock. i kissed him on the head and headed out.
ALAN'S P.O.V-
as soon as i saw Austin's truck leave the drive-way i changed into my human form stretching my achy limbs. i walked into the bathroom and saw my collar shifted with me. cool. and i took a mental note never to shift in-front of Austin because i don't think he'd appreciate a naked Alan. i hopped into the shower and scrubbed quickly.
once i got out i dried off and looked at my hair. it was super long. like to my collar bones. and i had a weird marking on chest it was a scar looking thing going over my heart. it looked like a weird loopy thing. like the Celtic knots i saw in Bravehart or something. so i went over to Austin's lap top and looked up Celtic symbols.
after about 20 minutes of looking for this symbol i found it and read the description . it stands for eternal bond and marriage. 'but to what?' i thought to myself. i traced it over with my finger and sat there.
i got up and walked over to my spot, shifting into a cat on the way there, and layed down to take a nap.
AUSTIN'S P.O.V-
i walked into my last period class, i liked the teacher but not the class. didn't fit into the class at all. first i noticed the guy who bullied Alan, Josh, everyday for being gay. I saw him smirk as i sat down in the back. i saw him coming my way. " Hey faggot!" he said sitting down on my desk. "i heard that Alan finally offed himself! he did right?" he said with a hint of sass in his voice. "yeah he did" i said lowly, even my tone shocked me. everyone had been telling me how sorry they were. yeah yeah i was done, sick of it. he's not dead. just gone. i looked up into Josh's eyes with pure hatred. 'i fucking hate you' i thought to myself. i noticed the class had gotten deathly quiet. "yeah he finally ganked himself, took the cowards way out." he started laughing. i was done. i felt a power surge through me. i slammed my hands down on the table scaring the shit out of everyone. i stood up and looked down at the bastard. i was a good 2 or 3 inches taller then him. "you and him were both emo fags together so why don't you join him?" he said, i could tell he was scared and nervous. i just looked down and started laughing. he looked at me as if i were crazy. hell i might be. who knows? not me. i stopped laughing and grabbed him by the throat and basically threw him to the other side of the room he hit the white board with a loud 'thunk' he stumbled and bent over a little i was on him before he could do anything though. i punched him bloody, "you!! you did this to him! to me! he left because you and everyone else here were total dickheads to him!" another punch" its all of your faults. every single one of you!" another punch and i threw him into his buddies that were just standing there in shock. i looked at my bloody hands and back to the class, then the teacher. it was Josh's football coach. "Austin, " he began, "go home, get yourself cleaned up. stay home for a few days ill make sure to send you homework to your email." he looked at Josh, "Josh your off the team." and with that he started reading while Josh begged him not to kick him off the team. i walked out to my truck and headed home.
as soon as i got into the house i slammed the door shut and yelled at the top of my lungs. i sank to the floor and continued yelling.
ALAN'S P.O.V-
i woke with a start as i heard the front door slam and yelling. like wailing. it sounded like Austin. i went over to the door and scratched at the door i couldn't get it open like this. i shifted from cat to human, opened the door and shifted back. i ran down the stairs and slid into the hallway wall. oww. i ran over to Austin and rubbed against his leg to show i was there. i smelt blood but not his. i pushed his arm up so i could get to his face. i sat in his lap and licked his face until he was laughing. "hey Princie" he finally pet me. "he was making fun of Alan..i couldn't handle it anymore. i beat him bloody. i just felt so powerful all the sudden it was weird. so i just took it all and focused it towards him." he then started sobbing, "i'm so sorry, im sorry" i licked his face again. i couldn't do this anymore. i cant hide from Austin. i cant do it. i bite his hand and jump away "ow Prince" he says looking at me. i jump further away and run back to him then jump away again. "wait how did you get out?" he asks getting up. i meowed loudly and ran up the stairs i waited for him to enter our room before i grabbed a pair of his pants and dragged them into the bathroom shutting the door. i quickly shifted and locked the door. "Prince? what the hell are you doing silly how'd you lock the door?" he chuckled as he tried to open it. i pulled he pants on leaving my upper body exposed. i looked into the mirror and saw my old body. my hair wasn't long anymore though cause i had cut it yesterday.i still had ears and my tail. not to mention my tail. i unlocked the door and opened it. Austin turned around and looked at me with wide eyes."A-A-Alan?" he said "its my Aus" i replied. "your, Prince?"he asked looking me up and down. "yeah, im prince."i said meeting his eyes. he walked over to me and pulled me into his arms and cried. "i love you so much. i should have never left your side. i love you im so sorry." he said pulling me closer. "i know i know i love you too, i love you too Austin" i said. "we'll never be apart again, i promise" i whispered. "never"
