Leaving the cave, going into the unknown

It was the night of Kate’s bachelorette party and I wasn’t really looking forward to it. All of Kate’s other friends were models and I hadn’t lost all the baby weight yet, even then I wasn’t supermodel skinny to begin with. Kate was never judgmental with the way I looked but her friends often were. The last time I went out with these people they would lay backhanded comments about what I was wearing or how I looked in my clothes. Even worse they would criticize themselves about how much weight they’ve gained and how fat they looked when they were obviously much thinner than I was. After that I stopped hanging out with her friends and just stuck on my own, which I was fine with but Kate always had a suspicion that something happened that one night.

It was her night however so I was going to suck it up for her and do everything in my power to make this a night she would remember. I put on my favorite dress that I just started to fit back into after Dee. It was red V-neck skater dress that stopped mid thigh so it showed off all my tattoos on my legs. I curled my hair and did winged eyeliner before putting a little bit of mascara on. The plan for the night was go out for dinner than go to a club to dance, after we were going to go to a nearby hotel and sleep there. I was a little bit nervous about leaving Dee with Alan but he assured me that if there was anything wrong he would come and get me. I slipped on my Vans and headed downstairs, we were all getting ready at Kate’s house than taking a limo to the restaurant.

“Ah Alex you look so cute!” Kate said while she came running over to hug me, even taller with her heels on.

“Wow didn’t think she could get bigger since the last time we saw her. I guess having a baby does really make you lose it.” I heard Sandy whisper to Bridgett. I just let it rolled off my shoulder; nothing was going to make me crack tonight.

We all hopped in the limo me going in last but when I went to get in there was no room. There were 5 girls who had stretched their tiny bodies as wide as they could just so there wouldn’t be enough room for me, and Kate who was sitting there very confused.

“Oh I guess we didn’t get one big enough. That’s unfortunate, I guess you’ll just have to take a taxi.” Bridgett sneered at me.

“What no, here Alex I’ll go with you.” Kate protested.

“No it’s fine, enjoy your limo Kate it’s your night. I’ll just meet you guys there.” I closed the door and the limo rushed off. I called the cab and he came around 10 minutes later, I gave him the address and off we went. It took 20 minutes to get to the restaurant and when I arrived I found that a seat wasn’t saved for me and there were appetizers on the table already.

“Sorry we would have waited but we were just starving. And the table wasn’t big enough so you’ll just have to fit somewhere on the end.” Stacy snapped at me.

I found a chair and did just that, I sat at the end of the table and looked over the menu until I found what I wanted and ordered. No one really talked to me but I was glad to get a break from their snapping.

“So Kate told us that you’re engaged now. Who’s the guy?” Bridgett asked.

“His name is Alan, I met him through Kate actually.” I smiled at Kate and she winked at me right back.

“Alan Ashby? I remember him; he’s really good in the sack if you get what I mean. We had an on and off hook up relationship for a bit, he’s usually really picky he must of seen something in you he liked if he stuck around.” Bridgett dug in.

“Yes well we have a child together now too. She’ll be a year old soon.” I smiled as I thought of my daughter, I didn’t care what had happened with Bridgett and Alan in the past all that matted was what was happening now.

“A child? Wow must have been a mistake because I know he would never have a baby willingly.” She started to laugh and that was the last straw. I stood up so fast my chair fell back behind me and I started shooting daggers through my eyes at her.

“I don’t care that you’ve slept together, or that you think I’m fat or whatever your opinion is of me. But don’t you dare say my daughter was a mistake, she may have not been planned but Alan is the best father ever and you’re just a sad lonely bitch who’s jealous that he would only sleep with you. Now Kate I’m sorry to say but I think it’s best that I left, you and I can have a night together some other time but I don’t think I’m welcome here.” I stormed out of the restaurant and Kate followed.

“Alex wait please wait. Don’t listen to her.” She grabbed me by the arm to stop me.

“I know I just need to leave I’m so sorry if I ruined this for you.” I got out of her grasp and kept walking. I picked up the phone to call Alan, the second I heard his voice I broke down.

“Alan? Can you pick me up at the restaurant? I just want to come home.”

So you've been pretty quiet for a bit and i just wanted to know if people were still even reading this. Should i stop or end it? Let me know

I also got to buy my mom an ipad mini today that i saved up from working and i literally feel so amazing inside because my mom can never afford to get anything new for herself!!!
Can't wait until Christmas just to give it to her!

I also have 2 performances this week and work almost every day until 6-8 so i'm going to be very very busy but i'll try to update when i can
