Leaving the cave, going into the unknown

We arrived at the venue and Kate helped me get everything out of the car. I didn’t pack that much just a small suitcase, I wasn’t sure how much room was being allotted for me. We walked up to the security guard near the busses and he gave us a strange look, I’m sure seeing two girls carrying luggage to a concert was a strange sight to see.

“Hello my name is Kate St. Clair and this is Alex Case and were here to see the band Of Mice & Men, I believe they should have some passes for us?” The man looked at a list and handed us some lanyards with passes attached, he pointed to their bus and I followed as Kate walked off. We reached the bus and Kate knocked on the rather large door in front of us, although large to me I’m sure that for someone like Austin it was just the right height. Tino answered the door and before I could say hello I was swept up in a huge hug, like I had said I had gotten close to all the guys.

“Hey short stuff so glad you’re here, now we can finally have those video game rematches and I can kick your ass!” Tino exclaimed.

“Ya right, keep on thinking that.” We laughed together before I heard someone running threw the bus and a large thud sound like someone had fallen. Suddenly Alan appeared at the door looking messy from what I’m assuming was the fall I just heard. He ran down the stairs and swept me away in his arms, he set me on the ground and just held me for a moment no words or sounds just holding each other. We heard a cough behind us and I saw Kate with her arms crossed smirking at us.

“Well hello to everyone too. I swear it’s like I’m not even here or something.” Kate said, she was joking but I think it was also strange for her as she was used to being the center of attention everywhere she went.

“Sorry, hey Kate.” Tino and Alan said. Alan grabbed all my bags despite my protest and brought them onto the bus, Kate and I followed as we walked onto the familiar bus. They had obviously cleaned ‘cause I can’t imagine that it looks like this all the time with 5 plus boys living here. Alan went to put my stuff somewhere before coming back into the front lounge and pulling me down to the couch. He buried his head in my neck while curling his arms tighter around me.

“Mmmmm I missed you so much. I’m so glad you’re going to be here for a whole week!” He whispered into my neck, the breathe on my neck sent shivers down my spine.

“Yes well I’m very excited to be here also.” Kate said from the couch across, she had a sour look on her face and I think that all this PDA was starting to annoy her.

“Sorry Kate, were happy you’re here too even if it’s just for the day.” Alan said now sitting up properly so it wasn’t as awkward for her. I mouthed a sorry over to her and she just smiled at me.

For the rest of the afternoon Kate, Alan, Tino and I sat in the front lounge and talked until the boys had to do a sound check. We followed them to the back stage area; Kate and I went to stand where the audience would be. This venue was huge, I just started to run around the open space imagining all the people that would be jumping and dancing here. I looked up on stage to see the whole band looking at me and giggling. I blushed and went back to Kate’s side, we sat down and watched as the band went threw sound check. I put my head on Kate’s shoulder and just listened to them run threw song after song, it was heavy but I found it very soothing. Soon enough Kate was pushing on my shoulder telling me that it was over and we were headed back to the bus.


The concert was amazing; getting to watch Alan and the boys do what they love was the greatest thing in the world. Alan came off stage sweaty and went for a huge hug, usually I would probably cower away from his grossness but I took the embrace. I wanted to be as near to him this week as possible even if he was gross and sweaty. We went back to this bus and they cleaned up before the alcohol was broken out, some of the other bands came back to the bus and started a party. It was going great I had a couple of Jack and Coke’s and I was feeling lose and free and happy for once. I had a great boyfriend and a great best friend, I was leaving on tour and I felt strong after my incident. Alan jerked me away from my daze by kissing my neck slowly, but instead of getting into it I just started to giggle.

“You know that was supposed to turn you on not make you laugh.” He said with a smile on his face.

“Ya well you kissed the one place on my neck that I’m really ticklish, so that’s your fault not mine.” I bopped his nose and he grabbed the back of my head and pulled me into a big kiss. It was starting to get heated and people around us were cheering and cat calling, I got embarrassed so I pulled away. I was very red and flushed but Alan just kept on smiling. Kate came out of nowhere drunk off her ass, I hadn’t seen her this drunk in a while she was holding a large bottle of vodka and chugging it down.

“Hey are you ok? You’re looking a little wobbly there.” I asked as I stood to stable her. She pushed me away and looked down on me due to her crazy model height difference.

“What I’m not allowed to get drunk and have fun? You did last week! You get to have it all don’t you! A great boyfriend, happiness, what do I get huh? HUH?” She ran into the back before I could say anything. I went to go follow her but Alan stopped me.

“Wait I’ll go. In her drunken state she might get madder at you. I should apologize anyway, I’ve taken you away from her recently and we were really close before you and I started dating.” I nodded, he kissed me than followed her. I sat down on the couch with all these thoughts racing threw my mind. I finally gave up waiting and went back to where they were but when I opened the door I saw something that made me want to vomit.
