*Andy’s POV*

"It's not an engagement ring, not yet, it's a promise ring. I want to give it to you with the promise that I'll always love you and want to be with you and have you as mine. With the promise that when we're both really ready I will marry you and we can share each other's lives. I really do love you and mean it when I see these promises. Will you accept my promises?"

After I said it, I looked to Ashley. My heart was pounding and I was holding my breath, I was terrified she would say no. The seconds dragged on, no one daring to say a word. Then Ben nudged me. I gave him a quizzical glance and he nodded his head in Ashley’s direction.

She was crying. I took her hand in mine. “Baby, what’s wrong? Did I upset you? I didn’t mean too. I am so sorry. I.. I’ll take it back if you don’t want it.” I was rambling on. She shook her head. “I love it. I am just so happy. Don’t worry Andy these are tears of joy. Of course I will accept your promises!” She yelled and wrapped her arms around my neck.

I stood up and picked her up and twirled her around. I didn’t notice at first but the people in the restaurant started clapping for us. She hid her face in my shoulder and laughed. Ben and Sally clapped for us too and congratulated us.

I put her back down and put the ring on her finger. She gave me a kiss and admired the ring with Sally. I sat down next to my twin and he patted me on the back. “Good job bro.”
“I couldn’t have done it without you.” I told him honestly.
“You just needed a little push.” He said as he playfully pushed me.

I gave him a shove back and we sat and joked around. We ordered dessert and decided that we wanted to go out and go for a walk. There was a walking trail not far from the girl’s house so we headed that way. It was only about 9 so we had plenty of time.

We got out and headed to the trail. It was a clear night. It was really beautiful out. Ben had grabbed a blanket from the car and we found a nice spot to lay out. Sally curled up next to Ben and Ashley curled up to me.

“Andy, feel.” She told me, putting my hand on her stomach. I could feel little movements. I looked at her in wonder. I put my head on her stomach and started talking to it. “Hey you in there. Your mom really is amazing, you know that? She is also beautiful and smart too.” I said, cooing to her belly still. I felt her start laughing.

“She probably can’t hear you and if see can, she probably thinks you’re crazy.” Ashley laughed.
“She?” I asked skeptically.
“Well I want a girl..”She trailed off.
“Have you thought of any names?” I asked her, my head still on her belly.
“Not really. I kinda wanted to talk to you about it first.” She told me.

*Ben’s POV*

I was so proud of my brother for manning up and doing what needed to be done. I just hoped he could handle the responsibility. I wasn’t too worried after seeing the way his face lit up when he felt the baby kick and the way he talked with Ashley about it. He was happy and that was all that mattered.

I pulled Sally close to me and kissed the top of her head. She snuggled closer to me and giggled. “You really are gorgeous, you know that?” I asked her. She just buried her face in my chest and shook her head. “Yes you are and I will spend every waking second of my life proving it too you.” She just went quite.

I kissed her head again and we laid there like that while Andy and Ashley talked about names.
“I have an idea, I interrupted.” Everyone looked up at me. “Ben for a boy and Sally for a girl.” They all looked at me and erupted into laughter. “I thought it was a good idea. Only the best for my niece or nephew.” I said, laughing also.

Once we calmed down I looked at my phone. It was almost 11 and we needed to get the girls home. I helped Sally up and Andy went to help Ashley up when she grabbed her stomach and fell back down.

“Ashley, baby what’s wrong?” Andy asked, worry written all over his face.
“Pain, so much pain.” She said, grabbing her stomach with tears streaming down her face.
“Ben..” Sally looked at me with concern.

I pulled out my phone and immediately called 911. I told them our location and told them the problem. They said someone should be there in less than 5 minutes. Sure enough we heard the sirens and a team came and get Ashley. They did tests and loaded her into the ambulance. Andy rode with her and I drove Sally and I right behind them.

Sally called Mike, Vic, and my dad and told them the situation. We pulled into the hospital and got there just in time to see Ashley be taking to an operating room and Andy try and follow. A nurse was holding him back and telling him he wasn’t allowed back.

I ran up and grabbed my brother. “Andy! Andy you need to calm down. She is safe now. They will fix whatever is wrong.” He tried to fight me at first but once he realized it was me he calmed down and slumped into my arms.

“Ben..” Was all he choked out before he burst into tears. I held him as he cried.

*Tay’s POV*

I was laying in bed thinking about the amazing night I had with Cameron. I was just about to fall asleep when I heard my dad’s phone go off downstairs. I didn’t think much of it until I heard him yell to Erin to wake me up.

I bolted out of bed and down the stairs before she reached them. “What’s wrong?” I asked.
“We aren’t sure. Sally called and said Ashley is in the hospital.”

We raced out the door and to the hospital. We got there just as Vic and Mike pulled up. Mike was frantic and it took all Alysha had to get him to stay in the car until it stopped moving. As soon as it stopped, he bolted inside. We all followed.

I went to find my brothers and Sally. I found them in the waiting room. Ben was holding Andy and Andy was crying and mumbling. Sally looked up and gave me a quick rundown of what happened. I thanked her and walked to my brothers. I pulled Andy in to me and he just kept crying.

“It will be okay. They will both be okay Andy.” I tried to reassure him.

My dad, Vic, Erin, Alysha, Danielle, and Mike all came walking in together. “We talked to a nurse.” Alysha informed us. We all looked up at her expectantly. “She is in surgery. It turns out her appendix erupted. They don’t know what caused it but they are in surgery right now to remove it. They said the baby is fine and she should be okay also.”

I felt Andy loosen up a bit but not much. Our dad walked over to us and Andy practically ran into his arms. I grabbed my phone and sent a text to Cammie.

Cammie baby <3: Ash is n the hospital.. her appendix burst.. she is havin surgery…

I sent it and sat there with everyone while we waited. A little bit later Jaime, Jessica, and Cammie showed up. “I got your message. I woke them up as soon as I heard.” He told me, pulling me in his arms.

“I tried to call.” My dad told Jaime.
“Yeah we had just laid down and my phone was on silent. I’m sorry.” Jaime said and pulled Mike in for a hug.

We got them up to speed and we did the only thing we could do, wait.

*Danielle’s POV*

It was six in the morning and Daryl had left about an hour ago. I had paced nervously around our apartment staring at the phone and wondering what to say. I had picked it up a few times and started to dial Tony’s number but hung up before it even rang.

After about thirty failed attempts I finally just called. It rang a few times and I was about to hang up when there was a voice on the other end. “Hello?” Tony sounded so tired. I figured I had just woke him up. “Hello?” he asked again.

“Uhh hi it’s me, Ro.. Danielle.” I stuttered out. “I need to ask you something..”
“Okay..” he said apprehensively.
“Well..” I started when I heard commotion on the other side. I could only make out parts of it. “She’s awake.. Two visitors at a time.. Stable for now..” Then I heard a voice sound so broken and upset and it broke my heart.

I heard Andy say, “So she is okay, is our baby okay?”

I dropped the phone and fell to the ground. Andy was having a baby?

So first off I want to say, this chapter went a different route than I thought when I first started on it. However I did arrive to the destination I wanted so that is a plus.

So what do you think will happen with Ashley? Any ideas on the sex of the baby? How about Erin and Tony's baby, what do you think it will turn out to be?? Also, how do you think Danielle is going to handle the fact that Andy is going to be a father?
