Well today was the day we’d start our tour with Mice. I was super excited, getting to sing and whatnot, it’s amazing. We were setting up for our first venue in London. No one would know any of my songs, but I hope they’d catch along soon. I was putting the words onto a computer so that they could be shown on the giant screen behind me. I was only going to sing 2 songs, but it would be amazing. I worked my ass off to get these songs to sound right.
“Oli I’m scared.” I said to him.
“Don’t be, your voice is angelic.” He smiled and kissed me.
The room began filling with screaming girls, and guys. I was kind of extremely scared about this, I’d never performed in front of anyone before. First time for everything though right? I had posted everywhere that I was performing throughout the concert, people were excited which made me excited. ‘Come on Ashley! You can do this!’ I whispered to myself.
The members of Bring me that were helping me until I could get a band together made their way on stage, the people roared. “Now guys,” Matt K spoke, “This isn’t just us today, please welcome a good friend of ours, Ashley Manson!” The room shouted, but I could tell they were confused.
I walked out on stage, my platform boots banging on the wooden stage, shaking from the nervousness, and sweat dripping from my forehead. “Hey guys!” I shouted into the mic, “Please give me some credit, it’s my first performance.” I laughed. They cheered. The lyrics for my first song popped up on the screen behind me and I started, “Today, was your last day with me… though your heart left, so long ago… In another life you would’ve loved me forever. Please just let me know you’ll make it through today, please.”
I sang on, and they sang with me. Their arms were raised in the air, my voice was angelic. This feeling was amazing, having people love you. I finished that one and started singing my second song, they sang along to that one too. My feet were killing me, and my throat hurt too, but god was it worth it. It was amazing.
Bring Me the Horizon and Of Mice & Men did their sets, and they were perfect, I swear to god they are all perfection. BMTH did Deathbeds, Antivist, Shadow Mosses, Crooked Young, and then a shit ton of stuff from the first few albums. And OM&M did Public Service Announcement, Second & Sebring, When You Can’t Sleep at Night, Bones Exposed, The Flood, and You’re Not alone. It was fantastic.
After the concert we all did meet and greets. I signed a lot of stuff, it was really sweet.
“This please.” This mysterious man said putting a picture from my Tumblr down on the table.
“What’s your name?” I asked smiling.
“Come with me.” His voice got harsher. I looked at him oddly, then at Oli who was signing something. Then at Austin who was doing the same.
“Pardon?”
“You heard me, come with me.” He hissed.
I got up out of my chair, “I’ll uh, I’ll be right back guys.” I kissed Oli “If I’m not back in 3 minutes come looking” I whispered and left with the guy.
We walked out of the building, him next to me. His grip on my arm was stronger than any drug I’ve ever taken. He took me too the back of the building and pushed me into the wall.
“I’m not who you think I am.” He hissed, throwing a punch at my face. I dodged it and he hit the wall.
“Why are you such a coward? Show your face! I’m not scared of you Ricky! Not anymore!” But that was a lie, I was horrified.
“And what if I told you I wasn’t Ricky?” He chuckled.
“Show your face you chicken.”
“Don’t freak out when you see who I really am.”
As he slipped off the hood, I realized it wasn’t Ricky, or a boy at that matter.
“How dare you do this to me!” I hissed. I couldn’t believe her. Her of all people. I can’t god no! Please no! Why her?! Not her…
