Moon Dance

I had no idea Chris had invited Angelo out to the studio today but, part of me realized it could be a test. I sat on the couch with Mags and watched Angelo play drums in the booth and wondered why Chris would do something like this. He knew it was hard for me, for Angelo, yet here he was throwing us together and I felt like a prize that was being shown off. It made me want to slap that smile of his face and kiss Angelo in spite of it all, well that not being the only reason. When they decided to take a break and Chris and Ricky ran to get the pizza I sat next to Angelo in the booth and watched as he switched and cleaned his cymbals.

"What did you do to your hand?" I asked.

"Nothing, just cut it the other day on a railing." He murmured.

I took his hand in mine and slowly unwrapped the bandage from his hand, stopping every time he winced. When I took it off I saw a deep cut that was red and jagged and was in desperate need of cleaning. I ran to get the first aid kit and a bottle of water and put a towel under his hand.

"I don't need you to take care of me." He growled.

"Shut up and let me do it."

He looked up at me and must have seen something in my eyes because he didn't complain anymore as I cleaned out his wound and wrapped it up with gauze. I sat holding his hand in mine a little longer and rested my head on his shoulder. He wrapped his other arm around me and I looked up into those bright blue eyes.

"What are we going to do Ange?"

He looked down at me and kissed my forehead, "I don't know Aurora."

It was then that Chris walked in, the smile wiped from his face and his eyes held a scary darkness to them.
