I Can Be Your Antidepressant (Alan Ashby Fanfic)

You play these games, baby honestly?

I walked through my door and threw my purse on the ground and kicked of my shoes. I groaned in exhaustion looked to the microwave in my kitchen "1:32" the bright green numbers read. I groaned again and plopped onto my couch turning on my T.V to MTV and watching Ridiculousness. I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket, I took it out and looked at it confused I had a text from a number I didn't have saved in my phone. "Hey gorgeous, it's Alan (;" The text read. Oh yeah, I forgot all about Ashby. "Hey." I texted back lazily. It wasn't even a minute until my phone vibrated again, "What's up beautiful? (:" The next text read. " I sighed "Just got home, watching T.V." I typed I would've been a bit more interesting but I was completely exhausted. "Cool. (: Well, I just thought I'd text you so you had my number. I'm going to bed, see you tomorrow cutie (; Sleep well." It said, I felt myself smile. Maybe he wasn't the jerk I thought he was going to be. I guess I can only wait and see.

I woke up on my cough with a slight buzzing coming from my phone that was obviously wedged somewhere in my couch. I reached behind me and inside my couch and pulled out my phone and held it to my ear. "Hello?" I questioned half asleep. "Hey beautiful. Did you sleep well?" I heard Alan's voice ask. "I'm still sleeping." I whined sitting up and rubbing my eyes. "I'm sorry for waking you gorgeous. I was just wondering if you're still up to coffee? Or if you're hungry I'll take you to Denny's or Ihop or something." Alan offered. "Alan," I said yawning and giggling a bit, "I'm not even ready yet." I laughed. "Well you can get ready and I'll come get you?" He offered again. "If you want." I said blankly, yawning again. "Well okay, I'll be there in a bit then." I could practically hear him smiling over the phone. "Okay then," I laughed. "I need to shower, I'll text you my address alright?" I smiled and stood up from my couch. "Sure thing gorgeous. Bye." Alan said the other line going dead.
I texted Alan my address and walked into my bathroom. I turned on my iHome and plugged my phone in turning up Breathe Carolina. I turned on my shower I stripped and stepping into my shower feeling the warm water hit my skin and slide down my body. I did my normal shower routine and got out wrapping a towel around myself I walked into my bedroom to find a outfit. I threw my clothes on my bed and walked into my bathroom to blow dry my hair. I did my makeup and my hair and walked back into my room to change. Once I got done putting on my pants my doorbell rang. Well, he has good timing, dosen't he? I laughed to myself. I walked to the front of my tiny condo and threw my door open to see the same looking ginger boy I saw yesterday.
"Well hey there cutie." He smiled taking off his sun glasses. "You about ready to go?" He asked shutting my front door and following me into my room. "Just need to put on my shoes." I said walking into my closet to grab my Vans. "Yanno, for being a front desk girl for a tattoo shop, this is a pretty nice place." He smiled looking all around my room. "Thanks?" I questioned sliding my foot into my shoe and standing up. "Okay." I sighed "I'm ready." I spoke walking out of my room as Alan followed.
"Are you hungry?" Alan asked as we walked out my front door. "A bit, I guess." I replied turning around to lock my door. "Okay, well, do you like Denny's or IHop?" He questioned. "Denny's duh. Who likes IHop?" I laughed to myself. Alan laughed a bit too. We walked down the stairs to the parking lot. Alan walked out to the road and looked down the road. I raised my eyebrow and looked at him, "What the fuck are you doing weirdo?" I laughed. "Waiting for a taxi, what the fuck else would I be doing?" He turned around to look at me. I busted up laughing at him. "I have a car you know?" I said as I continued laughing gesturing to my white V6 Mustang Convertible. "Oh, yeah, right." Alan said walking back over to me. "Now do you know how to drive or should I? Cause I really don't feel like dying today." I said teasing him holding out my car keys. Alan grabbed my keys out of my hand and got in the drivers seat, guess that means he's driving. I went to the passenger side of my car and got in closing the door I looked to Alan. He smiled and started up the engine. We pulled out of my condo parking lot and onto the road.
We got to a Denny's and I got out of my car and walked over to Alan holding out my hand. "Keys." I demanded. Alan laughed and plopped the keys in my hand. "Ladies first." Alan said gesturing for me to walk in front of him. I started walking and turned around walking backwards. "You know, I do realize you just said that so you can look at my ass." I laughed and turned back around. "Yeah?" He laughed. "So what if I did. I know, I can look but I can't touch." Alan smiled. "For now that is." He said quietly thinking I wouldn't hear. I turned around to look at him. "What was that?" I questioned a smile sliding across my face as we walked into Denny's. "Oh, nothing." Alan smiled.
A fairly nice looking lady came up to us, "Just two?" She asked with a smile. "Yep." Alan smiled as she escorted us to our table. We sat down and asked what we wanted to drink. "Just water for me will be fine." I smiled. "I want a coffee please." And smiled at the waitress. "Okay," she smiled "I'll be back in a few minutes to take your orders." She smiled again. "Thanks." Alan said winking at the waitress as she walked off blushing.
I don't know why, but I felt jealousy wash over me. I looked to Alan trying to hide my jealousy with a smile. Alan smiled back at me and looked down to his menu. I looked at mine with a million thoughts running through my head. I had feelings for Alan. I didn't want to do this again. Why him, why the rock star? The waitress came back and looked to both of us handing us our drinks and pulling out a notepad. "Are we ready to order?" She smiled directly at Alan. "Yeah I am." He smiled looking to me. I nodded to Alan and smiled. We took our orders while Alan continued to flirt with the waitress. "Okay, I'll have those out to you as soon as possible." She smiled again. "Thanks darling." Alan smiled at her as she blushed again and walked away. I could feel my face go red with jealousy as I looked down making sure my hair would hide my face.
"So..." Alan questioned. I shrugged my shoulders while still looking down. I pulled out my phone to distract myself and scrolled through Facebook. "So, other than working what do you do in your free time?" Alan asked leaning his back on the back of the booth. "Draw." I replied simply still scrolling through my Facebook.
It was silent for the rest of the time we waited for or food. The waitress brought out our food and looked between me and Alan. "Is there anything else I can get for you guys?" She asked sweetly, I looked up to her and smiled. "Nope, I think that'll be it, but if I need you I won't hesitate to call you over." Alan smiled and winked to the waitress again as she walked away. I tried to keep my cool as I felt my face heat up again. I grabbed my fork and moved around my eggs occasionally looking to Alan who seemed to be enjoying his meal. I sighed and put butter and syrup over my pancakes. I ate half of my pancakes and looked up to Alan, who was done with his food.
"I uh, don't feel that good." I lied pushing my plate forward a bit. Alan looked at me questionably, not really buying my excuse. The waitress came back over and gave us our receipt. "Can I get you any boxes or anything else?" She asked smiling. I shook my head and continued to look down at the table. "No, that's it, thanks." Alan smiled handing her the receipt and cash to pay for our meal. Alan took out a ten dollar bill and threw it on the table as he took my keys from me and we walked out to my car. Alan got in the drivers side and I got in on the passenger side quietly buckling my seat-belt.
The drive back to my condo was quiet until Alan broke the silence. "Alex, are you okay?" He asked looking to me and back to the road. "Yeah, I told you, I just don't feel good, that's all." I lied looking out my window. Alan sighed as we pulled into the parking lot of my condo and parked my car. I quickly got out of my car and walked up to Alan looking down. "Keys." I said holding out my hand. Alan put the keys in my hand and we just stood there.
"Are you jealous because I was flirting with the waitress?" Alan blurted out. I felt my face get hot as I stood in front of him silently. "Alex, answer me." Alan said, it sounded like he felt bad. I still stood silently looking at our feet. Alan put his pointer finger under my chin and raised my face to look into his eyes. "I thought you didn't like me." Alan said quietly smiling. I still stood in silence looking into Alan's eyes. Alan brought our faces together and kissed me. I closed my eyes and kissed back as I felt him smile into the kiss. Alan pulled away and looked in my eyes smiling and laughing a bit. "I fucking knew it." He smiled wrapping his arms around my waist and hugging me.

What have I gotten myself into..
