Lost Forever // Lost Together

Fresh Start Fever

*Two Months Later*
*Tiffany POV*

It’s been two months since I meet Austin and we’ve been kind of inseparable. Sam had taken a liking to Austin. They been playing together whenever Austin came over and It was the cutest thing ever. We would spend hours talking on the phone when he wasn’t around or busy. Since the party Austin started to call every night after that and would talk to me until we’re both asleep. Especially since he’s been gone for the last few days. I hadn’t seen Austin in the last two weeks since he went to visit his Dad in Costa Rica for Christmas. I had spent the time I had left before tour with my family and friends. Especially Sam, since he kind of took it hard whenever I left for tour. I was hurting me knowing that I was leaving again. I wanted to keep seeing that beautiful smile of his. I thought about all stuff I was going to miss since Sam was going to be back in school again after the winter break.

“Breakfast!!” I heard my mom yell from downstairs tearing me away from my thoughts. I picked up my laptop and sat it down on my bed beside me. I climbed out my bed and picked my phone off the nightstand before I went down. I knew Austin would be back today and he said he would call as soon he landed, So I wasn’t letting my phone out of my sight today. As I walked in the kitchen, I was hit with the smell of bacon and pancakes and eggs. I looked at the island to find Sam sitting, coloring, while Evelyn and my mom were finishing up cooking and setting out plates. It was good having my mom and Evelyn staying over the last few days.

I leaned over and pecked Sam on the cheek. “Good morning my handsome son and beautiful ladies.” I looked over at them and smiled as I sat on a stool.
“Good morning Mama.” I smiled and kissed Sam on the top of his head.
“Here you go.’ Evelyn turned around and placing our plates in front of us. ‘Look at you, all smiles.” I really was all smiles. I couldn’t help it. I was so excited for today. I started digging into my food, ignoring her comment.
“I haven’t seen you this happy since Sam graduated from Kindergarten.” My mom started.
"I am pretty sure that's not that true, mom." But I knew it was. The only time I was really happy was when I was screaming my heart out with a room filled with people that were or are seacrhing for hope and when I was with my family.
"Well that's the realist smile I've in months" Evelyn butted in.
"What can I say? I am happy." I smiled to myself and looked back to the plate of food in front of me.
"Well I know we're all glad for that.' My mom said sitting down now with her and Evelyn's plate next to me. 'So what is the plan today?"

"Well I'm gonna finish up some more emails and then we can watch a movie or play a game and whatever else you guys wanna do then Austin is taking me out to dinner tonight." I looked over at my mother and my best friend.
"Sounds good to me.' Evelyn took a sip of her orange juice. 'Where is he taking you?"
"I have no clue. It's suppose to be a surprise." I looked over at Sam as he tried to eat his scrambled eggs. We continued to make small talk as we ate. As soon I finished eating, I got up and put Sam’s and my plate in the kitchen sink when my phone started to ring. I ran back around my the island and grabbed my phone.
"Hello?"
"Hey beautiful. So I just touched down. I'll text you when I'm on my way to your place."
"Okay. So.... Can I know we're going tonight?" I asked skeptical that he would actually tell me.
"What? No, of course not! It's not a surprise if I tell you. " I could hear him laugh on the other end.
"Can I at least know how I should dress for dinner?"
"I don't care what you're wearing as long as you're there." As soon as he said those words, I was left speechless. I must have taken to long to answer because I could hear Austin calling my name over the line.
"I would like to know though, so I'm not overdressed and underdressed for dinner. So hint please." I said finding my voice again.
"Okay, well just make sure you're not underdressed."
"Will do." I looked at my mom who was giving me a questioning look.
"See you later, okay?" Austin asked
"Yeah, okay later. I can't wait.' I stumbled over my words. 'bye."
"Bye, beautiful."
I looked up at my mom and best friend "What the fuck am I gonna wear?"
"Tiffany!" My mom yelled. She hated when me and my siblings cussed and I didn't like doing it in front of Sam. But every now and then I did slip up.
"Ohhhhh mom, you have to put a dollar in the swear jar!" Sam pointed at me and then at the swear jar.
"I'll put it in there later.' I let it go with a wave of my hand. 'What are we gonna do with all this free time then?'

***************************************************

After spending the day with Sam and my mom at the park, we went back to home to have lunch and relax a little bit. Well not really lunch, since we spent pretty much all day at the park. Evelyn left earlier to go run some errands and pick up our friend, Sofia. Once we got inside, I walked into the kitchen and I made sandwiches for all of us.
"Alright Sammy, which one?" I held out two different small individual bags of chips for him to chose from.
Sam stared at both bags, trying decide.
"Cool ranch please!"
"You got it kiddo!" He took the bag from me and started to eat his food. I gave my mom her sandwich and got us drinks. I went to sit down with them just as Sofia and Evelyn came in.
"Hola mi familia!" Sofia dropped her purse on the couch in the living room.
"Hola!" We answered back.
"So do you know what you're gonna wear?" Sofia asked as I got up to hug her.
"She still has no clue." Evelyn chimed in.
"That's because I have too much clothes. Too many options, make it hard for me to chose. Plus I don't know where we're going still and that's a little frustrating." I stated.
"Well I'm here to help!’ Sofia threw her hands up in the air. ‘By the way you should hurry since he’s gonna be here soon.”
I looked over at the clock by the stove, “Crap, I’ve got like two hours to find something to wear, and do my make up and hair.” I picked up my plate and started to climb to stairs to my bedroom. I could hear Sofia and Evelyn following behind me, coming up with ideas as they walked. I put do my sandwich down on my Vanity after I took a bite to start getting ready. I turned around to find the girls were already pulling out clothes out of my closet.

“You could wear a dress.” Sofia pulled my favorite red dress that showed off my hourglass shape. The back of the dress is scooped out so it stopped right under my back dimples.

“Okay that’s good.” I started undressing, walking towards the bathroom to start getting ready.
I knew that they would choose whatever shoes they thought best and I would wear with the dress. Once I was done showering, I put on some lotion and perfume. I wrapped a towel around my body and walk into my room to find that my friends left my stuff out and had left the room. I started to pull on my clothes when I heard tiny feet walking into my room. I turned to find Sam behind me. I walked over him pick him up and put him on my bed.
“What’s up bud?” I could tell there was something on his mind.
“Is Austin gonna be my new Dad?” The question caught me off guard, causing me to lose my balance as I tried to put my heels on.
“Well hun, I wouldn’t say that. He’s just a really great guy. I , I think that you should know that no matter what I will always be here.” I didn’t know what to say to him. I never expected him to ask me something like that.
“I want him to be my new dad, Mom.” I bent down in front of him and held his hands, speechless. There was nothing I could say to that. I just simply kissed his hands and continued getting ready. I went to the into the bathroom and started to quickly flat iron my hair. When I went back to room after I was done with my hair and make up, Sam wasn’t there. I checked my phone to find that there was text from Austin.

I am on my way.

I quickly put my jewelry on and picked up my purse. I threw my wallet and phone into it. Once I had everything and felt ready, I made my way downstairs. As I did could hear laughter and mumbled words.

“There she is.” Sofia said as took my last step off the stairs and walked into living room. Austin was wearing a red button down shirt and black trousers. He stood there holding Sam in his arms. He looked amazing as always with his gorgeous smile that he always wore.
“You look beautiful as always.” He leaned over and kissed me on my cheek. I fought back a smile.
“You clean up pretty good yourself.” I said with a smirk.
“Don’t you guys have somewhere to go?” Evelyn asked
“Are you ready to go then right?’ I nodded my head ‘Alright, well we’ve gotta little man. Maybe later on this week before me and your mom leave we can have a play date. Hows’s that sound?”
“ Really?” Sam looked at Austin with a huge smile on his face.
“Of course!”
“Cool!’ Sam hugged Austin before he turned reached for me so I could hug him. ‘Love you mommy.”
“I love you too baby. Make sure you behave tonight okay?” I said holding him trying to be somewhat stern. Sam quickly nodded his head, telling me he was gonna give my mom hell tonight. I gave him a kiss and put him down. I walked over to my friends and mom giving them each a hug. Once We were done saying our goodbyes, we made our way out of the house to Austin’s car.
“Hey, Austin remember to rap it up. I don’t need anymore grandkids anytime soon.”
“Holy Crap! Mom!” I looked back at her standing in the doorway.
“You’ve got Ms. Sullivan.” I looked over at him dumbfounded that he even said something back. He was laughing but I could see that he was blushing. We both got into the car, Austin opening my door for me and getting in himself afterwards.
“So where are we going?” The only answer I got was Austin starting the car and pulling out of the driveway.
“So you’re just not got say a thing then?”
Not a word. I quietly signed turned on the radio and sat there without saying a word. It was about 20 minutes later that we pulled up a restaurant that I’ve wanted to go to since I moved to Huntington Beach. Sakura is well known Japanese steakhouse. I looked over at Austin to say something but I was speechless.
“Let’s go. We’ve got reservations.” He climbed out of the car and I did the same. We walked in holding hands.
“Welcome to Sakura. Do You have reservations?” The hostess asked as we walked up.
“2 for Carlile.”
“Follow me please.” We walked behind the hostess to a more secluded area.
“Here we are.” The room looked amazing. There roses on the table and candles lit all over the area. A waiter stood by the table with bottle of wine in one hand and menus in the other. As we sat down, the hostess disappeared back into the main room of the restaurant.
“Good Evening, I am Eric and I will be your waiter for the night. Here are your menus. Could I offer you some wine?” the man, Eric, stood in beside the table, looking back and forth at us.
“Yes please.’ I looked at Austin waiting for his answer to find looking back at me. ' For both of us.” Eric simply nodded and poured our drinks for us. I stared back at Austin as his hand found its way on top of mine on the table.
“I’ll give you both a few minutes to look over your menus and I will be back.”
“Thank You.” We both say without looking away. In seconds, Eric, our waiter was gone.

“I missed you.”
“I missed you too.”
“Really?” Austin asked tilting his to the side head, squinting his eyes.
“Of course I did.”
“Liar.’ Austin looked away with a smirk on his face. ‘Did I tell you look amazing tonight?”
“Yes, you did. But I love that you’re reminded me.” I smiled at him giving his hand a quick squeeze. I looked away to looked at the menu. I could feel his eyes on looking back at me again.
Just as I was going to say something, Eric walked back over to our table.

“Have you two chosen anything yet?”
“I’ll have what she’s having.” Austin said before I could say anything.
“What if it is something you don’t like?”
“I trust you. Get whatever you want.”
“Well then I guess two Shogaykai then?” I looked from Austin to Eric.
“Alright, I should be back with your orders soon.” Eric disappeared from our table again.
As we waited, we fell into a conversation again and talked about the last few days before tour.

“Remember I told you I wanted to talk to you about something.”

“Yeah, of course I remember.” I said before I took another bite of my food.
“Well, I’ve been thinking about something for while now and I just really wanted to know that I really like you. When I meet you, I fell hard for you. I love being around you and hearing your voice. I just don’t what to do when I am not around you. I’ve been waiting for the right time to ask you to be my girlfriend.” I looked up at Austin, putting down the next bite I was going to take, speechless.
“ I would love to be your girlfriend Austin” I started to smile from ear to ear. I lean over the table and kissed him.
