“Our first headliner!” Ben shouted from the bus and I turned to see walking out with a huge grin. It was fall and we were doing our first headliner, with all our favorite bands.

Maybe I should clear some things up since the last time we talked.

Lu-Lu and Vic got married a year later in the summer. The usual squad was invited which was of course us, PTV, ATL, BVB, OM&M, SWS and a few other bands and family. The ceremony was great and the party was crazy. Lu-Lu flew Evelyn in so if she’s crazy, you can imagine how much she dragged me with her to the dance floor.

It was after midnight when I walked into the bathroom and checked myself in the mirror. I had on a simple red dress that reached mid-thigh with some tights that I had ordered from Hot Topic that had the outlines of Pokémon characters. My black flats were nicely polished and my teal hair was held back by a simple red bow. I checked my make-up when Alyssa crashed in the bathroom, tears spilling from her eyes as she locked herself in a stall.

“Alyssa? What happened?” I asked.

“I hate him! I trusted him with my life and he goes and just crushes it! I never want to see that stupid, fucking, idiotic, man ever again!” She yelled and I used my thumb to twist the lock and opened the stall.

She sat on the floor, tears falling from her eyes and make-up running. I could feel her pain and the betrayal. She looked broken. I kneeled next to her and hugged her tightly. “Let’s go home.” I whispered and she nodded. “Stay here, I’ll tell Evelyn and Andy. I won’t say anything to Lu-Lu so we don’t worry her.”

Alyssa nodded and I walked out, seeing the celebration continue and said my goodbyes to Lu-Lu and Vic, wishing them luck. I found Andy at the bar and I grabbed his hand.

“Hey honey.” He smiled.

“I’m gonna head home with Alyssa, she has a major migraine.” He nodded after I assured him it was fine if I headed with her. I found Evelyn laughing with Jack and Alex in the dance floor and I walked over.

“Woman problem.” I said and her grin fell instantly.

“What happened?” She asked and I whispered in her ear what happened.

“I’ll find out as much as I can, be careful.” I nodded and walked back to the bathroom, helping Alyssa up and we walked out of the party.

“Care to talk?” I asked. We made it home and cleaned ourselves up. Evelyn and Jack arrived a bit later with Andy and they were in the living room watching a movie.

Alyssa shook her head and the doorbell rang. Her eyes widened and she looked at me.

“I’m not home.” She told me and I nodded, running down and beat Andy to the front door.

“Is Alyssa home?” Austin looked down at me. His tie was undone and he looked as if he had been running.

“No, she was still at the party when we left.” I shook my head.

“Please Tori, is she here?” Austin gritted his teeth and Andy stepped in.

“Like she said, she’s not here. What happened?” Austin shook his head and looked behind me.

“Alyssa!” He yelled in and I looked down. “I know you’re here! I’m not leaving you anytime soon! I meant it when I said I loved you!” He yelled and walked away. I watched as he walked down the road and I closed the door.

“What’s going on?” Jack asked and Evelyn sighed, filling him in. I walked up to find Alyssa’s door locked.

“I want to be alone!” She yelled, crying.

“I’m right downstairs.” I said and walked away.

And here we are.

We were headlining the fall tour with BVB, PTV, SWS, ATL, and of course, to Alyssa’s dismay, Mice.

She never told us what happened that night, only that Austin was an idiot and she should’ve never given him a chance. Ever since then, she was all serious. She wasn’t the same as before and at nights I would hear her cry in her room.

We all headed to the venue, getting ready for sound check and did a few songs before heading to the back.

Austin tried talking to Alyssa, but she just ignored him and continued walking, getting out of the venue and lit her cigarette. I watched a she puffed it and I was ready to yank my hair out. I grabbed Austin’s wrist, dragging him out and to Alyssa, who didn’t even look at me.

“I don’t care how much you scream and cry, you will talk to him and he will talk to you and you will settle this like grownups or so help me God better turn away so he won’t see me kick both your asses!” I yelled at them a forcefully had Austin sit next to her.

“Tori,” Alyssa started.

“Talk!” I yelled and stormed back toward my bus.

“Hey,” I looked to my left and Evelyn hopped off the ATL bus, smiling and walking to me.

“Got someone on the phone for you.” She tossed the phone to me and I looked at it, seeing an unfamiliar number and pressed it to my ear.

“Hello?”

“Tori!” I heard the deep voice say and I smiled.

“David!” I giggled. David was Evelyn’s younger nephew and he was always such a cutie pie.

“It’s been too long! My aunt told me you’re dating someone, what happened to us?” He asked and I laughed, thinking back to when I said I was going to date him when he got older.

“It has, how have you been?” I asked him.

“Oh you know, school and getting by. How about you? I heard you made it out of your house.” I could hear the smile on his face.

“Yeah, I did. But sometimes I really feel like I didn’t. I still get shit from fans who don’t like me dating Andy and of course, my mom still has enough with making my life hell.”

“Hey, it’s gonna be fine. You have to learn to be happy for you and only for you. Are you happy dating him?” He asked.

“Yes.” I nodded.

“Then screw the haters. They’re just jealous because they don’t get to be with Andy. And let things go with your mom, you have to forgive her for everything she did to you and move on with your life. Take charge of it.” I stayed quiet, thinking about what he said before I noticed he was calling my name.

“Thanks David.” I smiled and he chuckled.

“No problem Tori, I love you.”

“I love you too, bye.” I hung up and turned, seeing Evelyn talking with Mike and I walked over, giving her the phone.

“Thanks.” I smiled and she returned it.

“No problem.”

I walked to my bus and smiled at my next idea.

“How are you guys tonight?” I asked and the whole crowd screamed. I smiled and stood up straight, walking toward the back where the bands where standing, watching us perform.

The whole place screamed and I sent Andy a wink and looked at Evelyn who smiled at me. I took a deep breath and looked around the place. I saw camera’s hovered around and I walked closer to the crowd.

“As you guys know, we’re filming tonight’s show so you guys are on the internet live and you guys can scream and cure as much as you guys want.” I grinned. The place screamed and I giggled.

“Mind if I talk to you guys? One on one?” I asked. The whole place screamed yet again and I smiled, looking at Evelyn and beckoned her over.

“If you guys have seen my IG, you guys know her as one of my best friends, and Jack’s girl.” I rolled my eyes and she laughed.

“Oh yeah.” I wrinkled her nose and we laughed.

“She’s been with me through lots of shit, and vise versa. Thank you.” I smiled at her and she grinned, hugging me tightly.

“Love you mommy.” I whispered and she pulled away, smiling at me.

“Love you too my lovely daughter.” She whispered back and I watched as she went back to the back and I turned to the crowd.

“I had called my dad and sister earlier and told them about this live show, so I hope their watching it right now.” I smiled and waved at the closest camera. “Dad, Samantha. I love you guys.” I stayed quiet and looked at the ground before getting the courage again.

“Mother, I forgive you.” I looked at the camera. I forgive you for everything you did to me. Even if you never apologized, or never will. I forgive you. My life was a living hell because of you but look at me now.” I stared at the camera and let out a small laugh.

“And to clear things up between me and my boyfriend, that has nothing to do with you. And you’re completely wrong about him. He loves me for who I am and he would never leave me. We’ve been dating for two years and he’s done everything in his power to make sure I’m happy before him. I couldn’t ask for any other man by my side.”

I looked out into the crowd and watched as some waited for me to continue and others.

“Many people out there, some even here try so hard to bring me down, but I know that at the end of the day, I tried my best and that’s the best for me. I’m not going to deal with bullshit from anyone anymore.” I spoke.

“Sometimes you fall down… But that’s okay. As long as you remember to get back up and remember to keep moving forward.” I announced and the whole place went crazy. I wiped a few of my tears away and walked back to stand on Alyssa’s bass drum.

“Now, back to the show.” I smirked and she smiled before looking at the rest. We all nodded and began playing, Ben, Grant, Lu-Lu and I jumping at the same time and landing once we began playing, head banging and continuing with the show.

After our set, ATL went on and we all headed to clean ourselves up.

“What a beautiful quote.” Andy wrapped his arms around me when I had gotten cleaned.

“Why thank you.” I smiled and turned to face him.

“I’m very proud of you.” He smiled and hugged me tightly. I wrapped my arms around him and we stayed that way for a rather long time. But I didn’t mind, I could stay in his arms forever.
