Chapter Eighty-One

Brooklyn

I was in the green room with Austin doing vocal warm ups. Of Mice and Bring Me were

staying for the rest of the show and then they had to leave so Austin and I were

spending as much time as we could together.

"It's so funny watching you do this." Austin said as he wrapped his arms around my

waist.

I smiled and stood between his legs. "Why do you say that?"

"You like go from a deep voice to a high and scratchy voice. You sing like an angel and

then you scream like the devil."

Giggling as I leaned down and kiss him. Austin gave me a small kiss back and let me go

so I can keep warming up.

After about 10 more minutes of warming I turned and looked at Austin. He was smiling

to himself while looking at his phone.

"Did you really take a picture of me?" I asked.

He shook his head and showed me his phone. I gasped as I noticed he took a video of

me doing my vocal warm ups singing Second & Sebring. I always did that sing last

especially since now I'm married to the man who wrote it, I did it for his mother who

helped bring said amazing man into the world.

"Everyone loves your voice while singing it, they were surprised you did my parts. I

recorded the whole thing and put it up in parts then on my YouTube I posted it."

I smiled and wrapped my arms around him.

"Do you think we can sing that together? As the last song?"

Austin looked at me and nodded, "Yeah let's do it but is your band going to be okay with

that?"

I blushed, "Wellll I may or may not have asked them earlier today after meeting with

Gabe."

Austin laughed and stood up kissing my head.

"It's fine babe but why don't you do what you need to do and I'm going to meet up with

Alan and Oli."

I nodded and gave him a kiss. Watching him leave I put in another throat lozenge and

grabbed my guitar playing around.

"Always playing on that guitar." I heard someone say and looked up seeing my dad.

"Well it is my favorite one." I said and stood up giving him a hug.

He chuckled and kissed my forehead, "Hmm I wonder why?"

I giggled and sat back down playing on it again. My dad gave me the guitar for my 15th

birthday and I have taken so much care of it that it's still in the same condition after

many years.

"So, how have you been sweetheart?"

"I've been well. I miss Austin a lot but he's on a break with Bring Me and they were here

yesterday and today. What about you?"

He nodded, "I saw him while I was walking in here and I saw Emily she's growing up

pretty good."

I smiled and thought about her. She was so sweet and wasn't as fragile as when I first

met her."

"Well I always knew you would be an amazing mother."

I thanked him and he let me get back to my normal routine before a show. He said he

was going to talk to Emily and find Austin.

*Time Skip*

Drinking my water I listened to the crowd cheering to something Matthew said.

"Okay so this next song is off of our new album that comes out tomorrow!" I said I to

my mic.

The fans screamed louder than I thought possible and that made me smile.

Brooklyn(Me): Can you hear the silence?

We had just finished our song, Can You Feel My Heart, and the fans responded very

well to it. Eventually they even started singing along with me and it is always such an

amazing feeling.

"Ok, so this last song is going to be sung with the most important person in my life.

Well one of the most important people in my life. Please help me bring out my amazing

and handsome husband, Austin Carlile."

The fans stopped and were shocked, I think they thought that his band and Bring a Me

left to go back on their tour.

Though after they got over the initial shock they started screaming. Austin came out

and gave everyone a hug then when he got to me he held out his fist.

I rolled my eyes and gave him a fist but he changed his mind and pulled me closer to

him giving me a kiss.

"Hello everyone! How are y'all doin tonight?" Austin yelled into the mic.

I think he got the response he was looking for because he smiled and jumped up onto

the riser we had.

"I like it I like it. So how is The End Of Time doing? Are they kicking ass?"

I smiled and looked at my band. We were one big family and yes we fought, yes we

cried, but we were happy and doing what we loved to do which was create music.

I walked over to my mic, "Austin stop you know we kick ass all the time you don't need

to remind them."

The fans laughed at Austin and i bickering back and forth until Matthew stopped us.

"Alright you old married couple let's give these wonderful people our last song!"

I nodded in agreement.

"This is an Of Mice & Men song but I thought that since he's here we should do

something together so we decided to sing it." I said looking at Austin.

"This is called Second & Sebring." Austin said and the fans went crazy.

Brooklyn(Me): I believe it's time for me to be famous,

And out of place.

I believe it's time for me to move forward,

I looked at Austin and saw that he was crying. Putting my hand on his face I smiled as

tears came to my eyes.

This man right here was so amazing and put everything he was into his life. His music

showed who he was and every emotion he has felt was put into lyrics for those who are

feeling the same way.

Brooklyn(Me): This is not what it is, only baby scars.

I finished and Austin leaned down giving me a kiss.

"I love you." I whispered kissing his nose.

Austin smiled, "I love you more and don't argue it."

Smiling I backed up and motioned for Austin to give the crowd what they wanted. He

winked at me and dove off the stage.

Shaking my head I nodded at Matthew.

"Brooklyn is almost crying so I will say it. We are The End Of Time and thank you so

much for an amazing show."

I waved and walked off stage seeing Austin walking back up.

I ran over to him and jumped up wrapping my arms around his neck as the fans started

cheering.

Austin smiled and kissed my cheek, "Go give them one more then we will get done what

we needed done."

I nodded and grabbed my mic going back out.

"Alright, here is one more and honestly it is one of my favorites off the new album so

pick it up tomorrow!"

We finished and the fans were going insane. I smiled and jumped off the stage going to

the barrier greeting the fans that were there.

Security helped me back up, "Thank you all so much and really it makes us all so happy

that we are able to come out here and do what we love and share our music with you

all."

I waved one last time and we walked back stage. Walking back over to Austin he

wrapped his arms around me and kissed my head.

"Amazing show baby girl."

I smiled and jumped up wrapping my legs around his waist. Austin carried me to their

bus and I pouted wrapping my arms tighter around him.

"Your choking me." He whispered as he carried me onto the bus.

I undid my hold as Austin threw me onto the couch in the front lounge. I looked up at

him and pouted.

"Brooks don't look at me like that you know that I don't wanna leave but we will be

together again in a month."

I sighed and laid back on the couch. "I know but it's hard."

Austin kneeled down on the floor next to my head. He kissed my nose and smiled.

"I know it is but we can get through it and tonight you call me and I will sing you to

sleep okay?"

"Okay."

Austin gave me a kiss and pulled away as the door opened and Of Mice came in.

"Sorry to interrupt but we need to start getting ready to leave" Aaron said giving me a

sympathetic smile.

I smiled and got up hugging all the guys.

"Hey when we meet up again we need to get some tattoos!" Alan said as Austin and I

walked out of the door.

"Of course Alan! Plus Austin and I were thinking about getting a matching tattoo so

when we see each other we will get that done!"

He nodded and I grabbed Austin's hand walking back to my bus.

I turned around and wiped at my eyes so I wouldn't cry as Austin wrapped his arms

around me.

"Hey no tears hun." Austin whispered kissing my head.

I started crying as I wrapped my arms around him putting my face in his chest. It was

so hard to let him go right now.

"I love you Austin." I said and looked up at him smiling some.

He smiled and kissed me.

"I love you Brooklyn."

Austin kissed me one last time before letting me go so I could walk on the bus. I waved

as he blew me a kiss and walked back to his bus.

"It's okay." Matthew said and wrapped his arms around me as I started crying again.

It must have been awhile since I came to the realization because we were driving and

Matthew was holding me still.

"You okay now Brooks?" He asked as I got up from his lap.

I nodded, "Yeah I'm going to go lay down and call him."

I said goodnight to everyone and walked back to the bunks changing into the SlipKnot

shirt I took from him earlier.

Getting in my bunk I grabbed my phone and called him.

Austin: "Hey baby girl."

I smiled hearing his voice, "Hey Carlile."

Austin: "Want me to sing to you?"

Sighing I laid down and got myself together.

Brooklyn(Me): "Yes please."

I could hear him chuckle as he started the sing a known Sleeping With Sirens song.

Austin: "Stay for tonight

Listening to him sing lulled me to sleep with a smile on my face. I can't wait to get back
