Chapter Eight

Brooklyn

I looked down at my hands and took a deep breath.

I mean Austin is someone I could trust.

"Well one night I was a little over 17, my dad who as you may or may not know was

at an NBA game since he plays for the Lakers. But I was with my mom and she had

been drinking, she never really liked that my dad was away but I was used to it.

Mom started getting mad at me because I was running around the house waiting for

dad to come home and I was on the phone with I think Mike. She started screaming

and I told him that I had to go and I hung up, trying to get my mom to relax. She

started hitting me, and she pushed me down the stairs and I broke 6 ribs, my nose,

and my wrist. Now my mom and I had never really gotten along, I was closer to

Mama Fuentes than my own mother. That's besides the point, she began to call me

names and tell me she wished she would have never had me. Then she ripped my

shirt off and she took a knife and well see for yourself."

I pulled my shirt off and used it wiping along my chest to take the make-up off and my scar

from one shoulder to the other appeared.

"Brooklyn!" Austin gasped and reached his hand towards me.

He looked up at me and I nodded my head letting him know he could touch it.

Austin traced the scar and I felt a shiver go through me.

"I'm so sorry Brooklyn."

"It's okay Austin. You didn't know me back then and it just happened."

He sighed and got up pacing.

"Austin relax it's really okay. I don't talk to my mom and I have a restraining order on

her."

"But it pisses me off that she did this like, a mother shouldn't do that to their child!"

He yelled.

Austin kept pacing and I started getting annoyed.

I got up and grabbed his arms making him look at me.

"Please stop."

He nodded and looked down then looked back up at me.

I bite my lip and looked down.

Austin grabbed my face and we started leaning closer.....

Well now we know Brooklyn's big secret! And we know that Austin wasn't to happy about what her mom did.... Though I wonder if they will kiss? Or will someone interrupt it?
