Chapter Fifty-Five

Emily

I've been staying with Brittany and Matty, which was a lot of fun!

Brittany and I have been talking about how her and Matty got together and she told me

about Brooklyn and Austin.

But, I was more concerned about Brooklyn being alright and coming home.

"Brittany?" I asked looking at her.

"Yes, sweetheart?"

I bite my lip, "Um, do you know when, um, Brooklyn is coming home?"

Brittany looked down and sighed. Was something wrong?

"Emily, as you know something scary happened to Brooklyn. But, she is out of the

hospital now and should be home soon. I'll call Austin and ask when you will he able to

see her."

I nodded and grabbed my book as I stood up.

"Thank you for everything Brittany." I said as I wrapped my arms around her.

Brittany smiled, "You are very welcome."

I walked up the stairs to the guest room I was staying in and got in bed to read my book.

But in all honesty I wanted Brooklyn to read or sing to me like she did before.

I watched Emily walk upstairs and sighed.

I knew she wanted to be with Brooklyn again, but it was hard on her because Emily was

so young.

Grabbing my phone I scrolled through and found Austin's number.

Sitting on the couch I dialed it, "Hello? Brittany?"

Me: "Hey Austin! Um, nothing is wrong before you ask just calling in to check up on

Brooklyn."

I could hear Austin smiling through the phone, "We are currently in the car driving

home, she just got released from the hospital and let me tell you now hectic that was."

"Why was it hectic?" I asked, slightly confused.

Austin: "There were so many fans and Brooklyn still has a pretty nice bruise on her face

so Alan came and we put the jacket over her to get her in the car. Then I knew they

would become suspicious so I had to talk to them and tell them she would be okay."

Me: "That's crazy! Emily wants to know when she will be able to see Brooklyn?"

Austin: "Depending on how Brooklyn gets through the night I would say tomorrow but

if something happens then the day after."

Me: "Okay! Thank you I'll tell her! I hope Brooklyn gets better and call me if something

happens."

Austin: "I will and tell Emily that Alan, Brooklyn, and I say goodnight!"

We hung up and I smiled as I went upstairs to where Emily was.

"Hey Em!"

Emily looked up, "Did you talk to Austin?"

I nodded, "Yes I did and he said either tomorrow or the next day. They also said

goodnight."

Emily smiled and got back to her book.

I walked out of the room to Matty and I's room getting in bed.

Picking up my phone I pressed the all so familiar number.

"Hey babe!" Matty's voice rang out and I smiled.
