The Storm (An Austin Carlile fanfic)

~Chapter 7~

Callie's POV

~2 months later~

Tour was getting close to the end and I honestly didn't want it to end. I was having way to much fun with the guys, plus I even got to hang with the other bands that were on tour or the friends they had that came to the show to support them. Besides Austin, the rest of the guys and I have gotten a lot closer since this tour began. It was like we were a family without it meaning to be one. This tour has went by so fast but I kinda wanna go home so I could see my sister and her growing belly.

This tour had one more show to go here in New York and then the guys were done for about 2 months before they had to go on tour again. The boys were currently at a photo shoot which was followed by an interview right after. I stood on the side cause, knowing Austin, he probably would drag me along with them. I love Austin, I really do. I love that he's being protective of me but I just want some me time for just a moment. Away from everyone, just for a couple of hours.

Austin came rushing over to me as soon as they were done posing for the camera. "Sorry if this boring." I smiled. "It's not boring. Hey um.. I was wondering if I could go get some coffee real quick while you guys are doing your interview?" I asked. "Yeah, do you want me to-" He started. "No!" I raised my voice. I looked around to see if anyone heard me. "I'll be fine, plus you have an interview to go do." I smiled. "But-" He started again. "Austin, I'll be fine. I'll have my phone and you can call me okay?" I touched his cheek as he leaned into my hand. "Okay, but please be careful." Austin smiled. I kissed his cheek. "I will. See you in a little bit." I said.

I walked out the venue and turned the corner. Before we left the bus to go to the photo shoot, I looked up shops that they had. I walked into Starbucks and ordered the usual Mocca Frappuccino and chocolate chip cookies. I then walked to Barnes and Noble. I walked through all the aisles to see what would interest me. I had a total of 10 books and was skimming through a couple and found a book that I could read while I was in here.

I didn't realized that 5 hours past so I decided to leave. Escaping into the world of book can do that to you. I payed for the books I had found and walked out the store. As if on que, Austin called. "Hey, I'm leaving now." I said as I begin to walk back to the venue. "It's fine. I just wanted to check on you. Where did you go?" Austin asked. "I went to Starbucks like I said and to Barnes and Noble to get a couple of books." I replied. "I even saved you a cookie." I laughed. He starts to laugh. "Why thank you." I smiled. "You're welcome, I'm at the bus now so I'll see you guys soon after I get dressed." I said while opening the bus door. "Okay babe, we'll be backstage in the green room." He replied. "Okay, bye." I smiled and hung up.

I got in the shower and washed my hair and body. I then got out and got dressed in a black dress and black converse. I did my makeup and grabbed my phone and pass and headed to the venue. I walked pass all the kids that were lined up at the merch table to walk directly backstage. I knocked on the door to see Alan answer it. "Hey ginger princess." I laughed and gave him a hug. "Hey Cal Cal." He replied with a laugh.

I said "Hi" and hugged all the guys till I got to Austin who was sitting on the couch, on his phone. I sat right next to him and leaned my head on his shoulder. "What are you doing babe?" I asked. "I just made us dinner reservations at a restaurant." He turned his head towards me and smiled. "What?" I whispered as I sat up. "We are having dinner together after the show." Austin said. I kissed his cheek. "That's really sweet of you." I smiled.

"Anything for you." He kissed my forehead. I got all fidgety inside. That was the kind of effect he had on me. "1 minute left guys." Their tour manager said. I got up along with Austin and walked towards their group chant. "Lets fucking go! This is our last show of this fucking tour! Lets make this fucking count! I love you crazy motherfuckers!" Alan, of course yells. They put their hands in the center of their circle. "1, 2, 3, Rock and Roll!" They yelled. The crowd was going wild that you could hear them from where the green room was.

"Have a great show." I said to Austin and smiled. "Thank you babe." He smiled and leaned down to kiss my nose. He then hugged me and walked out of the room with the band. I was guided towards the side of the stage. As I was watching the set, I couldn't help but feel proud. My best friends were doing what they loved. They lived it, they breathe it, they craved it. The fans loved them just as much as I do. The guys looked happy, the fans looked happy and that's all that mattered.

"So what restaurant are you taking me?" I giggled. Austin and I were in a cab driving to the restaurant that Austin made reservations for. "Just a restaurant." He laughed. I groaned. The cab came to a stop. Austin got out first and held out his hand to help me out. "Close your eyes please?" He asked. I closed them and he guided me to where ever we were going. He then stopped and said, "Okay, you can look."

As I opened my eyes, my jaw dropped as I looked at my surroundings. There was lights hanging on the ceiling with a candle and roses in the middle of a table. You could also look out on the balcony and see the Statue of Liberty in the distance. "Oh my god, Austin." I turned to him to find that he had a rose in his hand. "Do you like it?" He smiled. "I don't like it." His smiled dropped. "I love it." I laughed at his expression. He grinned and kissed my forehead.

"How did you manage to get this all together?" I asked in amazement. "I have a friend down here that owns a restaurant and I called in a favor." He said with a smiled. "Look at you go." I said with a giggle. We walked toward the table and Austin pulled out my chair. "Thank you." I said with a smile. I couldn't stop smiling. I was surprised he even took the time to plan this. The servers came out with champagne and 2 glasses. They pour the liquor into the glasses and walked away.

"Ooo, this is going good already." I smirked and raised my eyebrow. Austin laughed. "This one time we can allow the alcohol." He said with a wink. We continued to talk about the show, about anything really until our food came. After we finsihed eating, We walked out of the place where the dinner was held and walked towards the bridge where you could see the Statue of Liberty. "I had fun. Thank you for taking me out tonight." I said and turned to Austin. "You're more than welcome. I couldn't imagine spending it with anyone else." He said quietly.

I kissed his cheek and leaned into him. "Hey Cal, can I ask you something?" I lifted my head off his chest. "Of course." I replied. It was quiet for a minute before he said, "I only knew you for 2 months but I felt like I knew you forever. We practically know everything about each other and you even went on this tour with us." He paused and looked at me. "Callie, I don't think I could even live without you or love anyone else as much as I love you." His eyes twinkled. I was breathless. I couldn't even breathe.

"I guys what I'm saying is, Callie Noelle Anafy, will you be my girlfriend?" He said shyly. I finally left out a breath that I was holding this whole time. I grabbed his neck to lean his head down and kissed him, passionately, like I didn't ever wanna let go. We kissed for awhile before we had to come up for air. "Yes." I said breathlessly. He laughed and kissed me again. "You don't know how long I was waiting to ask that." I laughed and said, "You don't know how long I was waiting to do that."
