Two Wrongs Don't Make It Right

The next morning I rolled over and pressed my face farther into the mattress. It wasn’t until the mattress started to move up and down that I realized that it wasn’t the mattress at all. I peeked through tired eyes at the chest my head was on. I immediately saw the all too familiar tattoos that covered Tony’s chest.

The memories from last night came flooding back. I smiled to myself and buried my face further into hi,. He began to stir and his arms wrapped around me tightly, pinning me to him. I bit my lip waiting to see if he remembered what happened. I placed my chin on his chest looking up at him.

“Morning gorgeous.” He mumbled huskily. His voice was full of sleep. I shivered at it, it made his so much more attractive.

“Morning hun.” I say to him. I begin outlining one of the many tattoos that were scattered across his torso. It was his turn to shiver now.

“How do you do that?” He asks looking down at me kissing my forehead.

I look at him confused. “Do what?”

“Drive me crazy with the simplest touch.” He states like it’s obvious.

I shrug my shoulders and bit my lip. “I didn’t realize I had any effect over you Tony.”

“Well clearly after last night you can see that you do. I don’t want you to think that it was just the alcohol that made me want to sleep with you. That just gave me the courage to go for it” He tells me. “I actually like you Autumn. I couldn’t believe that Austin would fuck up so bad. And I knew one you were feeling better I needed to give it a shot, even if you turned me down. I needed to know that I tired…”

I cut him off by pressing my lips to his. They were soft but chapped from sleep. I pulled away after a moment.

“Tony you know I care about you, but I’m not entirely over what he did to me. I don’t want to start something with you and not be able to give you my 100%, because that it what you deserve. I’m not ready to jump back into anything right yet.” I say. He frowns nodding his head and looking down. “But you will be the first person I will come when I am ready to try again.”

He looks up and gives me a soft smile pecking my lips. His eyes sparkle and I melt into them. We are pulled out of our bubble when the door flies open and Jaime barges in.

“Hey guys… woah did you sleep together last night? Go Tony.!” He exclaims.

“Is there a reason you are standing in my doorway this early in the morning Jaime?” I ask irritated.

“There is someone here to see you.” He states. “He is in the living room.”

My stomach drops. No. Not right now. He couldn’t be here right now. I stand and throw on my clothes from last night and hurry out to the living room. I breathe out the air that I had been holding without realizing it when I see who is standing there awkwardly.

“Jeremy what are you doing here?” I ask him.

“Don’t we have practice today? I thought you said to pick you up on my way.” He replies furrowing his brow. I slap my forehead. I had completely forgotten because I was so excited about Chloe coming home. By now everyone was staring at me with confused expressions.

“What’s he talking about Autumn? Practice for what?” Chloe asks me.

“When I got back I needed something to distract myself. Well I ended up finding a group of people that were looking for a new vocalist. It has actually really helped me get to where I am with what happened. I’ve always loved singing and I took your advice and decided to branch out.” I explain. “Do you guys want to come see us practice? Would that be okay?”

“Yeah, it will be cool to have a little input from some pros.” Jeremy jokes smiling at everyone.

“Sweet let’s get going.” I say hurrying back to my room to grab my song book.

I started writing after I joined the band. Some of them were shit and just for me to get it out of my head, but some were really good and the guys even wanted to use them. They had really helped me deal with what Austin had done. They were kind of shocked when I told them all about my short stint on warped tour, but they quickly got over it and helped me throw myself into the mu
