Looks Can Be Deceiving

I sat at the desk in my room, staring down at my biology book. None of this was making sense anymore. There was no way I was going to pass this test. And it didn’t help that Austin was texting me every five minutes. I hadn’t looked at any of them, but they were still making it hard to study. I sighed as he tried calling me.
“Hello?” I answered running hand through my hair.
“Hey, what are you up to?”
“Nothing fun, that’s for sure.”
“Well is this nothing you speak of keeping you from answering me all day?”
“Unfortunately… I’m sorry for not getting back to you.”
“So you spend the night with me last night and I don’t even get a call?” he joked, trying to sound like a teenager. “I’m heartbroken, like you don’t even know.” I giggled.
“Sorry to break your heart my love.”
“Come over and make it up to me?” he asked. I pushed the tip of my pen cap between my teeth, softly gripping it with a smirk.
“I’d love to… but I can’t.”
“Alright,” he sighed. “Let me meet this other guy whose keeping you occupied. He and I are going to have a talk.”
“Well then I hope you’re prepared for a very intelligent conversation with my biology book,” I laughed.
“You’re working on homework?”
“Yes. You know that place I go to for five days out of the week? They’re pretty demanding of me.”
“I’m gonna have to call and talk this over with them. They’re taking over my girlfriend.”
“Go ahead and call. Let me know how that goes for you.” He sighed.
“Well… can I see you tonight… take your stuff over here and study?”
“Austin,” I laughed. “You and I both know that if I’m with you, I’m not going to get anything done.”
“Well then can you take a mini break?”
“This exam is so important… I can’t fail.”
“I’ll help you study, seriously.” I contemplated the idea in my head, wondering if it’d work or not. “Just come over, I wanna see you.”
“Okay, okay…” I looked down at my outfit. “Just give me a minute to change and I’ll be over.”
“No, I want you just as you are.”
“What if I’m naked?” he chuckled.
“I highly doubt you’re studying biology while wearing no clothes.”
“You don’t know that!”
“Then as I said before, I want you just as you are.” I rolled my eyes.
“Give me a few minutes. I’ll be there soon.”
“Will that be with or without clothes?”
“With,” I giggled.
“Alright, sounds good. See you soon my princess.” A blush fell over my face as I smiled out my window.
“See you soon, Austin.”
