The Invisible Girl

[Phoenix POV]

"Good morning Nana!" a pumped up Austin made his way to the kitchen. Then he hugged the old lady who's busy preparing the breakfast.

'Good mood?' she thought to herself.

"Good morning girlfriend!" he grinned while he made his way to sit in front of me. "Eating again? Why do I feel like every time I see you, you're always eating?" then he tried to poke my cheeks but I smack his hands.

"Snob!" he blurted.

I only gave him a cold glance.

It's like Austin has an everyday plan on ruining my morning. He playfully ate my breakfast. He ate the bacons and hotdogs. AND my pancakes!

'Chill Phoenix.' I tried to calm myself. I wanted to poke his eyes with a fork.

I looked intently at him but he just grinned at me. I saw my cup of coffee and an idea came to mind.

He was saying something but I couldn't understand him because I was carefully planning my bad idea.

I sip my coffee and pretended that my toungue got burnt and spit out the coffee to him.

Hah! Hot coffee from my mouth to his face!

"What the fu-" all he could say due to shock.

"Oopps sorry!" I grinned at him.

I can tell he wanted to kill me right there and then. I smiled at him ear to ear.

"You witch!" He gritted his teeth.

"Karma is a bitch right?" I finished the last bite of pancake on my plate and stood up. "Nana, thanks for the breakfast." I said to the old lady. "This made my day!" then I laughed as I leave the kitchen.

"Austin? what happened?!" I heard Nana asked him.

I can't help but laugh just thinking of his reaction.



[Alan POV]

'Where the hell is that!'

Then all the things from the top cabinet fell.

"What the hell do you think you're doing Ashby?" It was Sam. I bet she heard the loud crash from downstairs.

"Nothing!" I frowned.

"You need help?"

"I don't need your help! Just leave me alone!" I snapped.

"Okay fine! Here you go again." I felt that she was about to leave.

I panicked. "Wait! I'm sorry. I didn't mean it."

"You're forgiven." I heard her footsteps coming towards me. "What are you doing with all these mess?"

"Don't bother. Just help me find something to wear."

"Where are you going?" I can imagine her putting her hands around her waist.

"Austin and I are going out."

"Where?"

"I don't know. All he said was we're going out to have a good time."

I chuckled when I heard her whispering. "You want to join us?"

"No thanks."

"Why don't you go shopping?"

"Nah! I'm not in the mood. I'll just sleep."

"Let's not invite her because I'm pretty sure she will be a party-pooper." it was Austin who suddenly appeared from nowhere.

"You wish Carlile!" Phoenix scoffed.

"Are you talking to me?" it was Austin.

"No! I was talking to your other self." Phoenix answered.

"Enough!" I said to them. It's like they're about to slash each other's throat. "Are we going?" I asked Austin.

"Wait, I'll go get change."



[Phoenix POV]

I received a phone call from Lorie. She said that I need to go back to the office. A new band just signed up and additional people is really needed.

"I already took care of everything so nobody should question you. And one more thing...Phoenix, are you still there?"

"Yes. I heard you Ma'am."

She was saying something about a guest coming over the house.

"Don't be surprise when you meet Lara. She's Alan's childhood friend. I guess she's already on her way. She's planning to have a vacation. And don't worry about her. She's an angel."

I can't remember how the call ended. I saw Austin.

"Do you know her?" Suddenly asking him.

Confused, he asked back. "Who's her?"

"Lara. Do you know her?"

He put his fingers to his chin and said, "She was Alan's childhood sweetheart. Why?"

"Childhood sweetheart?" I repeated.

Austin nodded. "Why'd you ask?"

"She's coming over for a vacation."

Austin smiled. "Really? Then that's good. The more, the happier."

I frowned. I was about to ask something when we heard a car coming in.
