[Austin's POV]

I tried to be as quiet as possible while walking towards the old lady. No one noticed when I went inside the house.

"Nana!" I startled her from behind.

"Jesus!" she screamed then all of the veggies she's cutting flew everywhere.

I laughed. "Nope! It's me."

She turned around and hit my arm. "Austin! Are you trying to kill me?"

I hugged the old lady who I treat as my second mother. "I was just joking Nana" Then I kissed her forehead. "I just missed you."

"Me or my cooking?"

I released her and I burst out laughing. "Of course I missed you AND your intelligent cooking." then I winked at her.

Nana smiled then shook her head. "When did you arrive? Does Alan know you're coming back?"

I shook my head. "Just this morning." I grabbed an apple on the table and ate it. "I went straight here from the airport."

"Do you want to eat? I just finished cooking lunch."

"Maybe later. I want to see my bestfriend. Where is he?"

"If not in his room, she's with Phoenix."

I couldn't help but smile when I heard her name. Actually, I'm more excited meeting her than Alan. She really intrigues me. I wanted to know if she and Sam really has an identical voice. And how does she handles her pretend relationship with Alan, well, knowing him.

It's been three days when I received a call from Lorie. At first, I was nervous. I thought something happened to Alan. But she told me the good news. He finally decided to undergo the surgery. I'm really happy for him. We just wanted to best for him. I told the others the good news and they decided that they will visit once he is in the hospital. Tino, Aaron, and Phil are also out of the state.

Then Lorie told me about her little secret that made her son changed his mind, that girl who has Samantha's voice. Knowing her capability, I'm not even sure how did she come up with the idea. All I know is she will do anything for her son.

She also asked me to do her a little favor. And that's the reason why I'm here.

"I'm good, I'm fine, I'm okay. What do you want me to say to prove that I'm feeling better now?"

That's what I heard when I opened her door. I saw her sitting in bed, wearing her pajama set. Looked like she just woke up. Her hair is a mess and her eyes are puffy.

"Sam, please, Would you listen to me just this once? Don't be a brat. I just wanted to make sure that you're all better." It was Alan's calm voice. He was sitting in a chair infront of her. I can't help but smile while watching them.

"Wow! So I am the brat now? This is kidnapping. You're holding me here for 2 days now. I feel like I will get worse just lying in bed. I slept 12 hours a day. Do you want me to die of boredom?"

I tried not to laugh. She is amazing. No doubt, she and Samantha has the same voice. And the way she talked to him, amazing! I think that's the only difference between her and Sam, whom he knew to be soft-spoken.

"You stay here period!" he heard Alan said.

"NO!" She said and tried to stand up but Alan grabbed her arms.

"I said stay here!"

"NO!" I saw how she tried to let go from Alan's grip.

"Samantha, please stop! You will just get hurt."

"Then let me go!"

This is more fun than what I'm expecting. I decided to stay here. I don't want to miss this kind of moment. I'm sure I will enjoy this.

"Hello people!" I finally decided to butt in.

They both snapped their heads to my direction.

"A-Austin?" Alan recognized my voice. He stood up and faced to my direction.

I smiled and went to him. "I missed you babe. Long time no see."

"Fuck you! As if I can see you." Alan scoffed.

I laughed and put my arms around his shoulder. "You're rude! Didn't you miss me?" Then my eyes went to Phoenix. She was staring at me.

I smiled and winked at her. But she scoffed and rolled her eyes.

"You surprised me. I thought you're coming back not until next week?"

"It's a long story." Then I looked at Phoenix. "Hello Sam!" I smiled at her.

She didn't answer and looked away.

'Snob!'

"So, how are you lover boy?" I wrapped one of my hands around Alan's neck.

"Getting better." He said smiling.

"Do I need to ask how and who's the reason?"

"Shut up man! Let's talk later." Then he removed my hands around his neck.

"Why, you don't want Sam to hear?" I teased. When I looked at her, she went to the door and left.

"Sam, where do you think you're going?" Alan felt that she was about to leave.

She stopped and rolled her eyes. "Don't you dare tell me that I'm not allowed to go to the bathroom?" She said in a low tone but in a sarcastic manner. Then I noticed the plaster on her left shoulder.

"You may go." Alan said.

Then she continued walking. I saw her seems like talking to herself murmuring. I noticed that she even pouted her lips like a child. Which I find her cute.

"It's seems like its not you." I can see Alan is different from the last time that I saw him. He looks okay now. He looks happy and peaceful. "The last time we've talked you're a totally different person. So what happened?"

"I changed my mind." he looked up to the sky and closed his eyes.

We're at the garden. We just finished our lunch.

"I thought you're the man. I'm disappointed" then I playfully hit his shoulder.

"I just said that because I was mad at her." he said now looking at my direction.

"And now?"

"I realized that I can't afford to lose her again."

I shook my head. "You're being your old self again Alan." It looks like Phoenix did a wonderful job. She brings back the Alan I used to know.

"Do you have any plans on having a serious relationship after your divorce?" Alan suddenly asked.

"Me?" I raised one of my eyebrows. "What's wrong? I'm serious with my life!"

"You know what I'm mean."

"Wait! Why are you asking me? You're the topic here not me." then I laughed.

"Get a life Austin!"

"You know me dude. I will be serious when and if I meet my match."

He laughed at me. "Good luck to you!

Then I laughed along with him.

"Once I get my eyesight back, let's write new songs Aus. I want a new album. Let's go back touring. I miss it. I miss the guys, and the fans."

I smiled. "Sure, but let's get your eyesight back first."

[Phoenix POV]

"Nana are you sure it's ok for him to stay here? I mean what if he tell Alan the truth? Of course they're best friends."

It really bothered me when Austin suddenly appeared. Alan have already decided to undergo the eye surgery. What if Austin tells him the truth? That I'm not really his ex-girlfriend who he thought I was? Everything will be fucked up.

I pressed the bridged of my nose in between my eyes to release the stress.

"Don't worry about him." Finally, Nana answered. I thought I was talking to myself.

"Austin is a nice guy. I'm sure he understands the situation. Lorie told him about you and he's here to help you."

"Help me? How would he help me when Alan already agreed to have the surgery? Once he regain his eyesight, poof! I'm bye bye Sam." she waved her hands like something has just disappeared.

"Ssshhh! Len and Niki might hear you."

I placed my hands over my mouth like I just said something bad.

She placed a plate in front of me and gave me some foods. "Why don't you just eat. You're too stressed."

I was busy eating when Nikki suddenly grabbed my left arm.

"Miss Samantha, you're bleeding." then she showed me my arms. I saw some blood from my shoulder dripping down my arms. I'm not sure how it happened because it didn't hurt.

"Len, get the medicine kit. Hurry!" It was Nana. She came rushing to me.

She came back with the kit and Nana cleaned the wound and replaced the bandage. It was slightly opened.

"Ahm, Sam, you're supposed to go back to the hospital today right? To clean the wound and redo the stitches?" it was Nikki.

"Was it today?" she can't really remember what the doctor told her that day because of the ruckus that happened.

Nikki chuckled. "I think the doctor likes you Sam."

I raised one of my eyebrows and looked at her. "Why did you say so?"

She shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe because the way he looked at you while he was cleaning your wound. He likes you no doubt." she even crossed her arms at her chest like she was proud of what she just said.

"What did you say?! Who likes Sam?" It was Alan. We were surprised when we suddenly heard his voice.

"Chill dude." Austin said and looked at me.

'Do something!' it looks like THAT what he's trying to say.

I rolled my eyes and went to Alan. I grabbed his arms.

"You're being jealous again. You don't need to --" when I looked at him, it was Austin! I immediately released his hands. "Why are you here?!" I frowned and asked him.

"Well, let's see. Maybe you suddenly grabbed me out of the kitchen? will that do?" he is smiling from ear to ear. "Oops! You've got the wrong person."

I really thought it was Alan that I grabbed. 'Shit!' I turned my back at him and went back to the kitchen. She's thinking that maybe Alan is now going berserk.

'I think I'm going insane!' she just thought to herself.
