Chapter 35
-Austin’s POV-
That night Lauren and I found out that there was a beach five minutes away from where we were.
As soon as I parked the car she stormed off down to water, which made me laugh.
I wanted to tackle her into the water but I thought she would get mad.
“Is it cold?” I asked as I stood behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist.
“Yes, please don’t toss me in”
“Well” I said suddenly picking her up and pulling her in with me. She screamed and I laughed, it wasn’t that bad to me.
“Austin! Stop! It’s cold!
“Nuh uh” I said as I pulled her so that she had her legs around my hip in the water.
I kissed her as she tangled her hands in my hair. She kissed me back harder then pulled away.
“Too much” she said and laughed. She went underwater and I saw her head to the shore, I followed.
We lay in the sand staring at the stars that were actually visible for once, and I knew it was time.
“Lauren” I said and she turned her head to look at me, “Be my girlfriend?” I asked and turned my head the opposite way laughing.
“Yeah” she said and I turned back to her as our lips met.
-Scarlett’s POV-
Why does this shit always happen to me? Vic has me lying in his bunk because I went through some traumatic event. It’s not the first one. I need to work, hell I have to work I need to clear my head.
I got out of the bunk and headed towards the front of the bus. I got on my laptop and saw the tweet I didn’t want to see.
“AustinCarlile: Finally made @LaurenXO mine <333 So happy!”
Twitter, I hate you.
Truth is ever since Austin picked me up and carried me to safety, I’ve been thinking about him and us and I’m with Vic I need to stop this.
There was about a month left of this stupid tour and then I wouldn’t see him again, right? I can do this. Vic, I love him, not Austin.
Frustrated I continued scrolling down my feed.
“AlanAshby: I need you. Come back. :’(“
Brook left Alan? Holy shit, I feel bad even though I’ve kept my distance from all Of Mice and Men members. Alan was so happy with her though.
Then I saw:
“Brook07: I hate you and our whole relationship.”
Who did what? I live in a real life soap opera and I want to know.
“BOO!” someone yelled at me and I jumped, ah Tony.
“You’re an asshole.” I said.
“Well aren’t you a ray of sunshine on this fine evening little lady?” he said.
“Where’s Vic?” I asked.
“I don’t know what’s wrong with me?” Tony said and acted offended.
“Um you scared me dipshit, that’s what.”
“Be nice. I’m sure he’ll be back soon. What’s new on the Twitter front?” he asked.
“Austin and Lauren are dating and Alan and Brook broke up.” I said.
“You’re such an Of Mice and Men fangirl.” He said.
“Like I said before you’re an asshole now leave me alone.”
-Alan’s POV-
Brook left me because she quotes “doesn’t like how much of an ass I am on tour and doesn’t want to deal with it anymore” yeah I don’t know either.
I see Austin asked Lauren out, which surprised all of us.
“I totally thought he was going to get back with Scarlett the other night.” Tino said.
“He saved her that was all.” Aaron said.
“But I heard she was like hiding into his chest and everything” Tino said again.
“She was” I said.
“That’s weird” Phil said.
“She acts weird now so what’s the difference.” I said.
“You guys seriously gossip like women.” Mike said as he entered our bus, we made friends with him again but didn’t tell Austin, so since he’s not here we invited Mike over.
“Shut up Fuentes, give us the deets on Scar!” Tino yelled.
“We are terrible human beings” Aaron said.
“We have reason, go on Mike tell us now” I said.
“She’s on twitter going through Austin’s tweets. She saw about Alan and Brook and felt bad. She also saw Carlile’s tweet.” He said and rolled his eyes.
“Why are you not doing anything about it again?” Phil asked.
“Not my business.” He said.
“We know too and we are letting it happen.” Aaron said.
“It’s not our place either Aaron.” I said.
“Look at you being all noble and shit Ashby” Mike said and we all laughed.
“Austin’s going to murder him when he finds out.” Tino said.
“Just get the popcorn ready boys. I’ll let you know when it’s going to happen tomorrow. Gotta get back before they wonder why I made friends with you guys. Goodnight!” Mike said and walked off the bus.
“Are we really terrible people for this?” I asked.
“It’s not our problem.” Phil said.
“But where’s the moral in not telling at least Austin? He’s been through a lot of shit in his life.” Aaron said.
“He’ll handle this, just like he handles everything else.” Tino said.
“Fist fight?” I questioned.
“Probably, but seriously he’ll get through it.” Tino said.
