-Austin’s POV-

Aaron and I were currently in an interview. The interviewer was asking some of the most random, but personal questions. If we didn’t want to talk about it, we joked it off. She said she had two questions left and I was relieved.

“Austin, how does it feel to be on tour with your ex-girlfriend Scarlett Harris?” she asked.

Aaron looked at me as I clenched my fist. This was a line that the interviewer shouldn’t have crossed.

“I haven’t really seen her as she is busy managing Pierce the Veil.” I said, it was honest and partially true. I couldn’t get slack about this.

“Is it true that you’re dating model Lauren Callaway?”

“I really don’t like talking about my personal life. If you have anymore questions about the band or our music feel free to ask them. If not we have nothing else to say.” I said sternly.

“No, I don’t thank you both.” She said.

We both said thanks and walked out of the room and back to our bus.

“She was crazy” Aaron finally said.

“I feel like they didn’t check into how much of a fangirl she was, I mean what publication would send someone out like that?”

“Maybe they wanted the whole inside scoop.”

“I don’t know but I won’t lie, she made me uncomfortable.”

“Me too. I mean especially with the whole ‘why isn’t your wife on tour is it because she’s pregnant’ question. That pissed me off.”

“I know, sorry man.”

“It’s not your fault Austin.” He said and opened the door to our bus.

“AIR CONDITION” Aaron exclaimed and I laughed.

“You two shut up! Brook doesn’t feel good and she’s still sleeping!” Alan whisper yelled.

“Where’s Tino and Phil?” I asked.

“Phil is skyping Anouk in the back and Tino I don’t fucking know. How was the interview?” Alan asked.

“So bad man. So fucking bad.” Aaron said.

“Why?” Alan asked and looked surprised.

“Between the interviewer asking Aaron if Amanda was pregnant, and asking me about Scarlett. We had enough.” I said.

Alan made a disgusted face, “Ehhh sorry. That does sound bad.”

“Your little love bird isn’t pregnant is she Ashby?” Aaron said as I was drinking water and about spit it out when he said that.

“No I use condoms, asshole.” He said.

“You know those aren’t completely effective right?” I said. Aaron laughed and Alan glared at both of us.

“Where’s Lauren?” I asked.

“With Aly and Mike…you know being the third wheel. Are you going to ask her out?” Alan said.

“I want to, but I’m afraid a Mexican might murder me in my sleep.” I said completely serious, which caused both of them to laugh.

Then the door opened, with Tino, Phil, and Lauren coming in.

“My girlfriend is sleeping so please kindly shut the fuck up” Alan said warning them.

“She’s still not up?” Lauren asked and took a seat on my lap. I smiled at her and wrapped my arms around her waist.

“Ashby please don’t tell me, Anouk was the…” Phil started to say but got yelled at.

“I already heard this, no, now shut up!” Alan said and we all laughed.

My days went: wake up, interviews, show, partying, and this day wasn’t any different.

Night had fallen which meant it was party time. I let the guys go before me and said I’d catch up. I called my dad to see how he was. As I was headed back to the bus area, it was pretty dark and silent, peaceful.

Until I heard someone screaming in the woods.

My first thought was to run and get help, but it was a girl and I couldn’t do that.

I saw someone else off in the distance near me, pretty sure it was Mike Fuentes.

We both started to the woods, but I was closer. I slowly made my way in, trying to hear what was going on.

Then I recognized the girl’s voice and the terror in it and my whole world shattered.
