The Calm

Austin’s POV
I was flying home for a month break before our next leg of touring. It’s been 3 weeks since I’ve seen Scarlett. We’ve been talking, but tonight is the night I want, no I need to make her mine. I’m falling for her, so damn hard. The whole flight I’ve been tapping my fingers and completely restless in this damn seat. Alan has smacked me about 10 times already, I just can’t help it. I can’t wait to see Scarlett. She doesn’t know I’m coming though, she thinks I don’t get in till morning.

I pulled up to Scarlett’s condo, that she purchased a month ago apparently. I parked, grabbed the flowers I got her, and headed into the building. I followed the instruction Erin gave me, apparently she had put my name on the list so I was allowed into the building. I grabbed the elevator and headed to her floor, then to her room. I knocked and waited.
She opened it and her mouth dropped to the floor.
"AUSTIN!"
"Scar!" I said.
"Ah come in! You lied!" she said.
"Baby it wouldn’t have been a surprise!" I said and leaned down to kiss her.
Her lips against mine felt like heaven. Damn this girl.
She pulled away and I grabbed her with the arm that didn’t have the flowers in them.
"Oh these are for you pretty lady" I said and handed them to her.
"Carlile." she said joking.
She took them and put them in a vase.
I felt awkward not exactly knowing the place, so I scanned it noticing all of the touches should put to it.
"Sorry, forgot you haven’t been here yet" she said and grabbed my hand.
She showed me around and to her bedroom, when of course she blushed.
"Are you staying here tonight?" she asked, shyly.
"It’s up to you, but we are taking this slow, right?"
"Right, I feel rude though…"
"Stop, baby it’s fine." I said.
"I like when you say that in person so much better." she said and laughed.

We had ordered Chinese and had it delivered to the house. We were out on her balcony eating.
It was now or never. It was time to ask her out.
She was finishing her drink when I looked at her directly.
"What you looking at Carlile?" she said and laughed.
"I want to ask you something" I said.
"Okay, hopefully its not why do I have food all over my face?" she said and laughed again.
"No, ummm…Scar I like you a lot, would you do me the pleasure of being mine?" I said. I then looked down at the table, freaking myself out because I just asked the girl of my dreams out.
"Yes!" she said.
We smiled at each other and got up from our seats. I grabbed her in a tight hug and we pulled away just enough to kiss.
She was mine, finally.
