Drum Wench: I’m outside.
My drummer and older brother Robbie walked in after Aaron who had gone to answer the door.
“I can see that.” I told him holding up my phone to him with a grin.
“Robbie, hey man what’s up?” Austin leaned over and they did the boy hug, high five handshake thing that all boys do. “Want some pancakes?” Robbie shook his head and plopped down on the couch across from me next to Tino.
“Nah thanks man, I ate Kayla’s lucky charms this morning.” I glared at him with my nostrils flared.
“One, don’t eat my cereal.” I told him brandishing the butter knife I was using. “And two, how do you guys know each other.” I gestured around the space with the knife before popping another bite into my mouth.
“One, put the knife down, you’re no match for me.” He mocked me making the others chuckle. I glared at Alan and quickly changed his smirk to a frown giving me a tiny squeeze. “Two, I’ve known them for a while, how do you think we got here last night?”
I rolled my eyes and shrugged standing up to put my dish in the sink. “Thank you.” I told Austin as he walked by sitting on the other side of Alan with his own plate. He nodded and waved me off.
“We have sound check in an hour.” Robbie told me looking down at his phone. I nodded and grabbed my jeans walking to the bathroom. Changing quickly I ran my fingers through my messy hair and walked back out to find Robbie had taken my seat.
His arm was around Alan and he was whispering too quietly for me to hear, whatever he said didn’t seem too good because Alan was paler than usual and was nodding quickly. I cleared my throat and held out the shorts to Alan.
“I assume these are yours.” He stood up and grabbed them.
“Can I talk to you for a second before you go?” The rest of the boys oohed as he led me down the hallway.
“Sure I’ll wait!” Robbie yelled after us sarcastically.
Alan stopped at his bunk throwing the shorts on his pillow. His hands found my waist again and I let mine rest on his chest feeling comfortable in his arms.
“What did he say to you?” I whispered to him. He chuckled before answering.
“He just told me that if I hurt you I’m dead.” A blush started creeping up his neck towards his cheeks and I smiled. “Would you maybe want to grab dinner tonight or something like that?”
“Yeah I’d like that.” He grinned and pulled out his phone handing it to me so I could put in my number.
“I’ll text you later and let you know my schedule.” Handing him back his phone I looked up at him, hoping he would get the hint I looked from his eyes to his lips and back again, letting my tongue slide out across my own quickly. ”Can I kiss you?”
I nodded and his forehead touched mine before he gently leaned in and pressed his lips against me, I leaned into him savoring the moment. It was out first kiss above the influence and it made my stomach go all fluttery. When he pulled away I bit down on my lip and he mirrored me his green eyes sparkling. Letting out a giggle I wrapped my arms around him and tucked myself under his chin. His arms came up to wrap around me tightly.
“You should get going you’re going to miss sound check.” He whispered in my ear his lips grazing my jawbone lightly. Almost on queue Robbie opened the door between us and I jumped back from Alan.
“Are you ready?” He grumbled rolling his eyes at me. “We’re going to be late.” I nodded and looked down. Alan reached out and grabbed my hands leaning down to peck my lips gently once more.
“I’ll text you.” Turning I let go and followed my visibly agitated brother through the bus and to the door.
“Bye guys!” Robbie yelled pulling me behind him.
They waved and called out goodbyes as we headed out the door into the afternoon sunlight.
“I kissed her.” Was all I heard as the door closed behind us.
