Victoria’s point of view

The way I saw it I had two options. Unfortunately fleeing back to California and Killing Jared were not those two options. Instead I had a choice of sulking for the rest of the tour and just being a total killjoy or I could slap a smile on my face and convince myself everything was fine. As much as I just wanted to sulk, I knew I couldn’t ruin this tour for the boys. Touring meant the world to them, and besides, I only had five months left. How bad could it be? I’m sure Jared wouldn’t get all handsy with me with five guys around. I just needed to stay out of Jared’s way and make sure we never have to spend alone time.
I threw a cardigan on over my crop top and tracksuit pants and checked my appearance in the mirror before heading out to sit with the boys; I looked fucked. Eyeliner had run down my cheeks and my face was tear stained. I looked tragically beautiful. I grabbed a wet wipe and wipe the makeup off of my face.
Once I had a clear face and I looked decent, I headed out of my room and walked into the lounge area and stood in front of the boys, they were in deep conversation together; it took 8 “Ahem”s to get their undivided attention.
“I’m sorry to tear apart the reunion” I wasn’t sorry, “But where is Jared going to sleep?”
Each boy had a similar expression which I interpreted as “Fuck didn’t think about that.”
“Well Jared,” I smiled sarcastically. “There’s the couch, or sharing a bunk with one of the guys.” Or you could sleep on the floor I added silently.
Jared stared off into space, thinking about his options. After a few seconds he stood up and made his way next to me and threw his arm around me with a big grin on his face.
“Well sleeping in a single bed with one of these fine boys sure is tempting but I think I’m going to have to choose the couch.”
Austin, Alan, Phil, Tino and Aaron all gave disappointed sighs, I couldn’t help but laugh at them. They are my favourite idiots.
“Say, Victoria, Why don’t you show me where you guys keep your extra blankets?”
The inner child in me wanted to stamp my foot and throw a tantrum at the thought of being alone with him. Maybe even flip him off. But the mature adult, who needs her job, smiled and said “Sure, right this way.”
So much for not being alone with him.
