Austin POV

This date could not have been better. It was perfect! Alan was still sleeping with his head resting on my chest and I wore the biggest smile. Having sex with him just made me realize even more how much I really love him and care for him. It sealed the deal. He was now mine and I was his. I didn't care about anything else, except sharing this boyfriend fact with my dad. I know he won't be disappointed in me or anrgy because he is very open minded.

Alan started moving and mumbling something. I made sure he was comfortable, removed the hair from his face. He looked adorable when he was sleeping, like a little kitten. We stayed in bed a little and cuddled after he woke up, then we caught some waves, enjoyed the sunny day at a beach, then we packed and cleaned up the place. It was soon time to return home. We wanted to stay, but we couldn't because of school. We were most definitely coming back though. Ride home was relaxing. Alan leaned on me, putting his head on my shoulder and holding my hand. Our fingers interlocked and I couldn't stop looking at it, grasping that this is really happening.

''Dad, I'm home!'' I yelled when I stepped into the living room.
''Hey, you're back. How was the weekend getaway?'' He was watching TV and sitting on the couch, drinking tea.
''It was great! We went surfing, we were laying on the beach, the weather was great!'' I put my bag on the floor and took a seat next to dad.
''That's great. Did you go to that mexican restaurant?''
''Yes, it was the best, and Alan just happens to love mexican food.'' I was enthusiastically describing.
''Right? It's very tasty.'' He agreed.
''Yeah, Alan was so funny, you should've seen him on his surfboard after a while, he was so clumsy, I was laughing all the time.''
''I'm glad you two had fun.''
''Yeah, we should go there more often...'' The weekend was spinning in my head like I was reliving it all over again.
''A question Austin.'' Said dad and snapped me out of my daydreaming and staring into a spot on the floor.
''Yeah?''
''You and Alan, you're really good friends?''
''Best friends dad...'' I said and smiled.
''Austin, you know you can talk to me about anything. I don't care who you love, as long as you're happy.''
''Who... I mean, w-what?'' Did he know? Was it that obvious?
''You should see yourself when he's around or even when you're talking about him. That smile never fades away.'' He laughed. Laughed. I mean, I knew he wouldn't be angry, but he was literally laughing, which made me feel less nervous.
''You could tell by that?'' I asked.
''I don't think you've ever brought a girl home or even associated with any of them.'' That was true. My dad has never met any girlfriends of just friends that are girls, well, because there weren't any. I never really knew I'm gay, I haven't labelled myself. But when I saw Alan for the first time stuff started to happen and now I am where I am.
''Are you okay with that?'' I asked.
''Look, we both had a rough time when your mom died. You're my son and I only want you to be happy, whoever you're with.'' He said and put his arm over my shoulders.
''I love you dad, thank you.''
''Love you too, son.'' He pulled me into a hug. I was really thankful for this, because even though I lost mom, I still have the best dad in the world.

I went upstairs and unpacked, then I took a shower and got all the necessary stuff for school ready. I lay into my bed and thought of everything that's happened this weekend, still grasping the fact that I have a boyfriend and that it's Alan, the most perfect person for me.
