Bones Exposed [Sequel to: Those In Glass Houses]

Anne packed her clothes and Blessings, leaving everything by the front door where Jack was standing on the phone with Matt, the band’s manager. “No, the bus is here but we’re saying we’ll meet you over there. Yeah, okay, bye.” Jack hung up and began packing their bags in the bus. Anne picked up Blessing and set her on the floor.

“Go with daddy.” Anne smiled as Blessing ran out the room and to the front door where Jack as standing with Alex. Blessing called them as best as she could and Jack picked her up, giving her to Alex.


“Are you doing it now?” Alex asked.

“Yeah, I don’t want to do it during the tour.” Jack answered. Alex took Blessing to the bus and Jack walked to the house, seeing Anne grab her phone charger and she turned to see Jack standing there.

“Hey baby, ready?” She smiled.

“Not quite,” He answered, walking to her. “Annemarie, you know I love you and I want you to know that I would do anything for you. Would you do the same?” He asked. Anne stared at him and finally smiled.

“Of course, anything.” Jack grinned and kneeled, taking out the engagement ring. Anne gasped and he smiled.

“Will you marry me?” Anne began crying happily and nodded, hugging Jack. He returned it, holding her tightly in his arms as he kissed her cheek. He pulled back, slipping the ring on her finger and she grinned, standing on her toes to kiss him. They pulled apart at the sound of the bus horn and Jack chuckled, knowing they’re late.

“Let’s go.” He smiled, pulling her along and they left.

“So Jack is dating Anne?” Sarah asked, sitting on the bus. The group had gotten to their first stop on the tour and it kicked off the next day, having many bands already there from their hometowns around the world. Austin had stepped out to eat out with Oliver Sykes and Beau Bokan.

“Yeah, they have been dating since Anne was about 6 months with Blessing.” Aaron nodded.

“I can’t wait for the little cutie! She looks so adorable in the pictures Anne sends.” Alan smiled. Annemarie had changed her number, but she kept in touch with the guys, of course, more with Aaron.

“I know, she has Austin’s hair but Anne’s bright green eyes; an amazing little girl she is.” Phil agreed.

“There’s one thing though.” Aaron spoke up, the four looking at him. “Jack asked her to marry him.” The whole bus stayed quiet, waiting for him to continue. “She said yes.”

“Fuck.” Sarah said after a bit.

“She’s happy.” Alan spoke up, looking at Sarah.

“I know, but Austin is going to get crushed, he still loves her.”

“True…” Alan sighed heavily, looking out the window and seeing the All Time Low bus pull in. He smiled, seeing it park a few busses away. “Let’s steal a baby!” He yelled, pulling Phil behind him. They both ran to the bus and the moment Rian stepped off, they both barged in and Anne was standing there with Blessing in her arms.

“Alan, Phil?” Anne asked, startled.

“I’ll take care of her!” Alan grinned, taking Blessing from her and running off. Anne smiled, hearing Blessing giggling and Phil shook his head.

“Austin isn’t there, let’s go see the rest, they miss you.”

“Alright.” Anne smiled. “I’ll be back baby.” She called, Jack poking his head from the bunk and nodded.

“Be careful!” He called. Anne nodded, finally giving Phil a hug and they walked off.

“How have you been?” Phil asked Anne as they walked to his bus.

“Better, Jack has been with me during this whole time.” Anne smiled.

“Speaking of Jack, I hear you’re engaged; congrats on that.” He hugged her.

“Thanks!” Anne laughed. "I'm guessing Aaron told you?" She asked.
"Yeah, Jack told Aaron a few months before that he was planning on asking you and he got the text from him this morning." Phil explained. They got on the Mice bus and Alan was sitting on the couch with the rest while Blessing was trying to get on the couch next to Tino.

“Aw, Blessing!” Anne smiled, walking over. “Blessing, this is your Uncle Tino, Aaron, Alan, and Aunt Sarah.” Anne told the two year old. They all sat around, getting to know the baby and catching up when Anne said she was going to leave before Austin came back. As she stood up, picking Blessing up as well, the door opened.

Austin’s POV

I walked back to the bus, Gielle had called and said she was taking a taxi over here and she was coming along. I really didn’t care, it’s not like I had feelings for her. I tried to get her to sign the papers but she won’t, so I’m stuck with her. I reached the bus, walking on and freezing in my spot.

Her hair wasn’t the light blue I had always loved, it was a darker blue color now. Her grass green eyes pierced mine and she held a small child in her arms. She had a bit of freckles around her nose, dark brown hair and green eyes, just like her mother.

“Marie…?” I asked, taking a step to her.

“Daddy!” The baby screamed happily, wiggling in Marie’s arms. She finally got away, Marie not even noticing. My eyes followed the little girl running to me. My eyes lightened up but soon, she passed me and ran into someone else’s arms. I turned, seeing Jack standing there and looking at me.

“Hey Austin, I see you met my daughter and fiancé?” He asked. I looked at Marie and her eyes were locked with Jack. He walked over to her and pulled her by her waist, giving her a soft kiss.

“Honey?” I heard Gielle’s voice from behind me. She grabbed my arm and kissed my shoulder. “What is she doing here?” She snapped, looking at Marie. I saw a wave of hurt
pass through Marie’s eyes, but it went away as soon as Jack lightly squeezed her side.

“I came here to see my old friends, but don’t worry, you don’t need to worry about him leaving you for me. I was only a toy, right?” Marie snapped. I watched as her eyes locked with mine on the last sentence. “This is Blessing, your kid.” She snapped at me and she walked off, roughly pushing Gielle away. Jack walked after her, the baby hiding her face in his neck.

She calls Jack 'daddy'? Are you fucking serious?
