Love Knows No Age.

I woke up in the middle of the night with a song idea and I decided to be quiet and act upon it. I got up and went down stairs and sat at the dining room table with my pen and paper. I hummed the lyrics and before I knew it I was softly singing them to myself.

"May, I didn't know you filled your music with this much passion" I jumped at the voice. I squinted at the figure and it became more and more clear that it was Austin.

"Austin, you scared the shit out of me" I laughed

"Well I was up to get a drink of water and then I heard you singing and I wanted to hear more" He smiled and sat at the table across from me.

Austin and I talked a bit before I started to feel tired and I went back into the guest room.

2 days later.........

I walked home from school as usual with my head phones in but right as I turned the music on I heard someone.

"Look, there is the emo bitch" I whipped around to see Jill, the school bitch laughing at me.

"Do you not have anything better to do than to call me names?" I spat. Jill laughed and walked closer.

"Why doesn't your dad pick you up? Oh wait I know, its because your dad is not who you say he is, you don't know Of Mice and Men your lying" I let a small tear escape from my eyes and I clenched my fists .

"You don't know anything about me or my life" My voice cracked

"Oh, look the bitch is cry-" She was cut off by Austins voice

"She is right you don't know anything about her or her life. I suggest you think before you speak" He stated pulling me into a hug.

"Omg, its Austin Carlile. Can I take a picture with you?" Jill asked

"No, you may not. I am ashamed to call you my fan if you pick on my best friends daughter. Goodbye" He said opening his car door for me.

"So what made you want to pick me up from school?" I asked

"Well, your dad wants all the boys to come hang today and I saw you on my way by so I decided to ask if you wanted a ride and when I got out I heard what that girl was saying to you and it made me angry" I smiled


"Thank you" He nodded and we rode in silence.

Once we got back home I ran up to my room and left the guys to talk. I was feeling a bit bored and hungry so I went to the kitchen and heard the guys talking.

"So, Austin you have fun with that blonde girl from the bar last night?" I heard Phil ask. My heart broke just a little.

"Yeah she looked like she wanted you pretty bad" Alan said

I walked in with tears in my eyes and everyone looked at me. I dropped my bottle of water and ran to my room. I slammed the door and hurled myself in my bed.

I don't even know why that bothered me, I shouldn't like him . It's not like he feels the same about a 17 year old girl when he is 23. I sat up and wiped the tears away only to let new ones fall. I heard a knock at the door.

"May, please let me in" It was Austin.

"Why should I ?" I spat.

"I know you heard and I know you don't like when the guys talk about sex in front of you" He sounded upset. I didn't care if they talked about sex in front of me I cared if they talked about Austin's sex life in front of me.

"Fine, you can come in" I said laying down and rolling over to look at the wall. I felt Austin sit next to me and I heard him let out a sigh.

"Why does it bother you so much when we talk about sex in front of you? Your 17 its not like you don't know about it" I chuckled to himself. I sat up and looked him in the eyes.

"It doesn't, it just bothers me when you guys talk about your sex life. You don't know how that makes me feel!" My voice raised slightly.

"Why, how does it make you feel? You can tell me" I laughed

"You want to know how I feel Austin? you wanna know how I feel? Huh!" I was yelling. "I feel like shit when you talk about how you have sex with chicks from the bar I felt like shit when you married that bitch that cheated on you! You wanna know why it makes me feel like shit?! Because..." I lowered my voice to a whisper. "I like you, I like you alo-" I didn't finish because I felt lips on mine. I pulled away and saw a smiling Austin.

I had kissed Austin, My crush of over four years...
