Unlikely encounters

"Wait, okay so I'm just making sure. Are you like, the Austin that... That I think you are?" I asked

"I... I think so. Kenzie oh my god! Holy shit! Kenzie wow!" Austin kept stammering things and I could'nt tell what he was thinking.

"Kenzie, why.... Why didn't you meet me that morning?" He asked me

I knew he was talking about the day I was supposed to give him my number. The day my god damn mother wouldn't let me see him.

"Austin I tried to! It was my mom! She wouldn't let me go!" I said.

Just thinking back to the cruise and how happy I was those three weeks made me tear up. I hadn't been that happy in such a long time.

"Kenzie you broke me. For such a long time I wished that I couldv'e seen you and said goodbye. I tried finding you but... I never did." He said

"I'm sorry." I said. I looked down at my feet.

Well this was wierd. We hadn't seen eachother In 10 years but now he saved me and was bringing me to his house. He probably thought I was a slut, Pregnant with my boyfriends best friends kid. I was about to start talking, but then the car stopped.

"Alright Kenzie. Were here. Just wait, I'll help you out." He said. He hopped out of the car and helped me out. i could'nt help but giggle because he was just as polite as he was on the cruise.

"What are you laughing about?" He asked with a smile on his face.

"Just... I dont know... You've changed a lot... But stayed the same... I dont know." I felt so stupid. On the cruise, I could talk to him so relaxed, but now it felt awkward. Austin helped me into his massive house and sat me down on his couch.

"Alright Kenzie, I think that you should explain what is going on first." He said sternly.

"Okay.... Well it all started 8 years ago...."
